The rooms were clean and peaceful. The view from the rooftop walking track and gym was the best. The restaurant was a little slow getting the food out but it was worth the wait. The hotel is right next to a mall that made getting snacks and other food options easy.
Great price, great people and very comfortable my favorite hotel in Tegucigalpa, no complains at all, the food is great the location is amazing is a few steps away to a mall with food court and supermarket.
The location right next to the Cascadas Mall makes for excellent convenience. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated both in the public spaces and rooms. It is also incredibly clean. I was on the 8th floor and it was very quiet. I do not know if you would hear some traffic noise on lower floors — possibly in rooms at the front of the hotel. (The back faces the mall.)
The highlight for me was the 9th floor gym with the open-air track that surrounds it. What a great way to start the day. Additionally, the breakfast buffet is more than ample from waffles to Honduran dishes, you will find something that fits your tastes. I particularly appreciated the plantains each morning. I am sure I will be back.
Very clean hotel, modern and excellent accommodations. Rooms surpass my expectations and its like being at any other expensive hotel, even better because everything its new. Great service, we had a problem with the hot water and maintenance came in 5 minutes and solved it. Highly Recommend. Only thing it doesn’t have a restaurant all day but you have a mall behind it.

It’s a very good hotel with very good and big rooms. The breakfast is very good, sometimes they have buffet and other times is with menu but either way is good.
The best of the hotel is the location because is near of nica restaurants.
The breakfast it’s good and allows you to take it in any of the other hotels of the Group (Plaza Libertad Plaza del General) the only “problem” it’s that not every day has the buffet.
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were impeccably clean and furniture was updated and in good condition. The hotel is in a hotel district of Tegucigalpa close to other hotels and restaurants.
The breakfast was included and was good, with a buffet on some days and order from the menu on other days. I appreciated the variety instead of having the same thing every day.
The gym is lovely- up on the 11th floor, with a great view. It’s really an encouragement to go exercise at the end of a long day! There is a good selection of cardio machines, as well as dumbbells, and a couple of cable weight machines. Best of all, I did not see any evidence that the hotel sells gym memberships to non-guests. This has been a major annoyance in many other places, where the gym is full of people not staying at the hotel in the afternoon. Kudos to the hotel management!
Oh- and the WiFi is pretty good. Worked consistently, but was slow in the evenings and cut in and out some. I was able to stream NetFlix but not to download updates to Apps.
If your on a budget and who isn’t nowadays, then the Plaza San Martin is right up your alley. The rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfortable and the best part is that the prices are more than easy on your traveling budget. I also rate their check in procedure as excellent.
In teguz there are certain areas of the city that visitors should be wary of. This is not one of them. The hotel is located in a thriving commercial area with lots of variety to choose from well within walking distance. For quality accommodations away from home the San Martin hotel can’t be beat.
They Do have hot water, Wi-Fi, the rooms are spacious, clean, and had a kitchenette, just like an apartment, I had a room with the beautiful view of the City of Tegucigalpa, rooms have a nice balcony, hotel is located very close to the Embassy, is very secured, it conveniently has a safe ATM machine next to the hotel, EVERYONE was very attentive, from the Bellboy, to the Front Desk personnel, to the housekeeping and restaurant servers.
The room also had a neat safe where you can secure your valuables, and the food? OMG! To die for! With wonderful presentation and delicious taste! They were very complacent and although it is not as “cheap” as other places, believe me, you will get what you pay for.

Our choice was excellent. Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. The location was where we wanted to be, close to all amenities. The 9th floor staff are well versed and personable. Thank you, Rosalina and Baudilio. I must say, it is not necessary to be a guest on the 9th floor, to receive attentive service. All staff members are very warm and welcoming.
The customer service was amazing, the hotel always clean. I Loved the pool area and the breakfast area in the 9th floor. The Clarion is lovely, inside and out. The pool and outside dining areas were a real treat. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied slightly every day. The front desk personnel responded to my requests more quickly than I have experienced at other hotels. The room and bathroom were pretty and spacious. I was most thoroughly impressed with the friendly service and I would gladly stay there again.
This is a very nice hotel which is also conveniently located close to the airport and major business centers in the capital. The hotel is gated and security 24/7, which made me feel very safe during my stay. Nice pool and bar/restaurant area as well. Dinner was excellent with an excellent buffet-and the breakfast buffet was even more impressive! The front desk and staff were extremely courteous and professional. Kevin, whom is part of the front desk staff provided a smooth overall stay- he made sure all my requests were handled correctly and swiftly.
With each meal, and we had breakfast, lunch and dinner there nearly everyday, I was not only so happy with the service but the food, oh my gosh, I was BLOWN AWAY with the food and preparation. Nothing but the freshest, perfectly cooked food was put out. I am a “foodie” too. I am a big fan of Food Network, Cooking Channel and I have nearly 80 cookbooks! There was fresh squeezed orange, cucumber, and tomato juice every morning! They offer eggs, meat, beans, fruit, cereals, omelette of what your want in it, and that wonderful Honduran coffee each and every morning! It wasn’t the same every morning, they would offer different juices and egg dishes. I never got bored.
Then at lunch, it was different every day! Not only could you order off the menu, there was a lunch buffet that surprised me every time! A salad buffet, fruit buffet, a selection of different meats (chicken, beef, pork) and usually 4-6 side dishes. The lunch and dinner buffets were very similar but there were always little surprises. The “theme” of the dinner changed daily.
While I was there, I enjoyed Honduran, Italian, American, and French themed dinners. complete with the country’s flag proudly displayed and little touches added. I was so impressed with so many meals that I took pictures and I am happy to say I met the chefs. The chefs not only introduced themselves, we had fun conversations. Again, I felt like I was not just a guest but a friend in their home.
I could go on and on in my review of this hotel but I’ll just say that I recommend this to any traveler, even the most experienced of world travelers. It is an oasis in the middle of a busy city.
