The hotel is about a 10 min walk from the gondola and has a public parking garage right next door. I would definitely stay here again, you can’t go wrong with the Bristol Verbier.

he hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the main chairlift, 2 minutes from the bus station (post office) and a stone’s throw from everything cool in Verbier. The room design was classic chalet style with modern touches. The breakfast was plentiful and attractive with an excellent coffee/cappuccino station.

Service was top notch: we were having an issue with our American electrical adaptor and one of the employees/managers went out and purchased an adaptor to help us out. That’s above-and-beyond service and deserving of recognition. I recommend this hotel to anyone for the service, location, and quality.

The location in Verbier cannot be beaten, right by the main lifts. The ski room is very efficient; nothing better than a short walk from the bottom of the slopes to a ski storage room with onsite service.

Excellent and well equipped rooms; a modern luxury alpine feel, complete with (enclosed) fire.

The SPA / pool area is well equipped.

Service is excellent and the food is very good; excellent breakfast.

An amazing hotel with the best location in town. At the same time modern & alpine, gay friendly & luxury, 5-stars & comfortable. One of our favorite place for a drink or hamburger for the spectacular mountain view, stylish menus, and charming service. We highly recommend for a mountain break or just a visit while you are in Verbier.

The well known hotel from amazing chain W Hotels. Located perfectly for skiing. To the lifts just few steps. Inside everything modern very nice . The rooms are great. You can find even fireplace. The only minus on summer there is no air condition! Surprising but true. The Spa great with saunas and swimming pool. Partly inside partly outside. They have also 6 restaurants. But be aware that some of them are only working in winter time.

Location is great, plenty of nice restaurants in walking distance, 1,5 minutes from the ski lifts, all the services for ski rental and cards available at the hotel service. over 400 km of slopes – incredible infrastructure.

The hotel has won prizes from “World Ski Awards” not only as Switzerland’s best ski hotel, but also as the world’s best ski hotel. I have not seen anything to make me disagree with that – W Verbier lived up to its reputation for my stay.

The entrance of our room was on the top floor (7th) and you enter straight into the living room. There is a balcony but unfortunately the view was blocked by heavy snowfall from the previous few days. The ceiling of the living room is very much chalet-style with wood beams but also modern lighting. On that level there is also a small toilet which was convenient. Down the stairs you have the bedroom and another balcony with fantastic views of the valley from the 6th floor of the hotel. Off the bedroom is the main bathroom which is finished to a high standard. The rain shower is of a good size and there is a also separate bathtub. The entire suite had heated floors in addition to the fireplace to give good ambiance. The design of the room was very pleasant and it is very hard to find any fault to it.

Breakfast in the restaurant cannot be compared to breakfast from top hotels in Asia, but outside of Asia this is one of the best ones I have had. Over time I tend to get bored of traditional western breakfasts which consist of eggs, sausages, and bacon. Here I was pleased to have Chicken Yakitori, grilled vegetables, in addition to the traditional options and free-flow Prosecco. Also the eggs benedict local-style were excellent.

We also had dinner in the W Kitchen a couple of times. While portions were generally small, the quality of the dishes was fantastic. We enjoyed the oysters prepared with lemon foam and salmon caviar. For main course we tried the perch, sea bass, and sole, which you can match with the sauce and side dish of your choice. We tried a few cocktails at the bar and we liked the creativity of the choices there.

The location of W within Verbier cannot be beat. But to add a few words about Verbier itself: there are several choices of ski resorts in Europe so you can just as easily pick another top hotel in another part of Switzerland or in a surrounding country such as France, Italy, or Austria. However if deciding between various destinations, in my opinion Verbier is a top notch ski resort well worth the visit. This specific village tends to get a lot of sunshine which is not the same in all parts of the Alps and we had great weather during our stay. The high prices of Verbier generally speaking are warranted in my opinion – the experience is just superior.

There are some hotels in the world where I had good experiences such that when I return to that destination, I book to the same hotel again without shopping around. But for the cream of the crop hotels, the hotel itself is the draw to make me travel again to that destination, rather than choosing the destination first and then the hotel second. W Verbier falls in that top category for me. Next time I consider a European mountain resort, I will lean a lot more strongly on returning to W Verbier rather than book somewhere else in a lesser location, even if the price tag in Verbier is far higher.

3. Experimental Chalet 4* – LGBT Friendly Hotels Verbier

Experimental Chalet
Experimental Chalet

The Experimental Chalet is situated in the heart of Verbier, the high-altitude hot spot for extreme sports and après-ski aficionados. It offers a restaurant serving local cuisine, a nightclub and a cocktail bar with signature drinks.

In the famous late-night Farm Club, where celebrities and locals rub shoulders in a timeless chalet atmosphere.

Experimental Chalet was designed by Fabrizio Casiraghi, the architect hailed for his style blending modernity and authenticity.

The spa area consists of 3 treatment cabins, a sauna, a hammam, solarium and hot tub.

Other facilities include a reception, concierge, room service, ski services, parking and private cars.

Set in an alpine village, this chic chalet-style hotel is an 11-minute walk from a ski lift and 9 km from Le Châble train station.

Warm, elegantly furnished rooms feature flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Upgraded rooms add terraces. Suites have separate living rooms and/or hot tubs.

Breakfast is complimentary. There’s also a sophisticated restaurant and a refined cocktail bar, as well as a nightclub and a spa.

The Experimental Chalet opens its doors in the heart of Verbier and offers 39 rooms and suites, a signature cocktail bar, a restaurant by the renowned Parisian chef Gregory Marchand (Frenchie), the legendary Farm Club and a spa by Biologique Recherche.

The hotel has a great decor and the rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel has many nice touches like 2x daily room service, boot room and two drivers to take you to and from the slopes and who are eager to provide tips on where to ski.

The spa, restaurant and cocktail bar have great service and cuisine. The restaurant has quite an impressive wine list to go alongside an excellent — if small — menu. As with all things in Verbier, dining out can be expensive.

From the moment we were greeted by the professional, outgoing front desk staff and our super friendly driver/porter, Hugo, we immediately felt at home here. The staff was phenomenal — totally professional yet not stuffy, and always quick to help with anything we needed or asked. Awesome vibe to this place — vintage chalet chic, and yet comfortable enough that you feel right at home.

Fireplaces and stylish furniture fill the common spaces, and there’s a nice little spa area with a jacuzzi that looks out towards the mountains. Rooms and bathrooms are generously sized. While we came for the hotel and knew that the Experimental group was known for its cocktail bars, the restaurant was the pleasant surprise that blew us away. We ate there three nights in a row and every meal we had was incredible.

Great hotel for Verbier, which can be excessively expensive. Given room and decor it was very good.

Front of house and reception staff super smart friendly and helpful. Room which was one of the executive doubles on the 4th floor was luxurious and had a really comfy double bed.

Cocktail bar – part of the hotel but a destination in its own right, we called for one, but James the midlands/Spanish bar man persuaded us to try several cocktails that we’d never even heard of – a combination of gin, infused honey, grapefruit juice that hit the spot.

They provide a taxi service to the various ski lifts, again driver was prompt friendly and took us where we weaned to go.

Breakfast food was good, combination of a buffet and ordered and cooked food.

Internet speed excellent and free.

We didn’t try the spa and restaurant in the evening as we were meeting friends but we had coffee and cakes during the day.

It had more of a gentleman’s club/boutique hotel feel to it rather than Uber glitzy, which we liked. Very different to other club related hotels such as la folie douce, and all the better for it.

This is THE best hotel I have stayed in forever. Gorgeous deco, staff who know what you want and need before you do, lots of little extras like good bathrobes and toiletries, oversized balconies with mountain views, a fab spa and a great breakfast. I expect I’ll be staying here again.
