Carvi Beach Hotel’s guest rooms have a contemporary décor and include blackout curtains, a mini fridge, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom. Many of the rooms provide breathtaking views of the ocean.

On the rooftop terrace guests will find a bar and restaurants where they can enjoy a variety of meals or refreshing beverages overlooking the sea. Alternatively, the historic centre of Lagos is 1.7 km away and offers a range of bars and restaurants.

Located in one of the most beautiful beaches on the Algarve coast, south of Portugal, is the Carvi Beach Hotel. Lagos, a city with more than 2.000 years of history, like many coastal towns in Portugal, Lagos has a special relation with the sea that is firmly established in history, culture, architecture and gastronomic patrimony.

Location it is right outside the beach and near the grotto’s for some good old fashioned hiking. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the town centre (or a few mins by a cab) but that’s why I booked it as i wanted to be close to the natural elements and stay far away from the crowds – surprisingly very quiet at nights and early mornings.

The hotel is clean and modern with friendly staff and we had a great view from our sea view room.
The rooftop bar and restaurant was also excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner and also provided a spectacular view of the sea and sunrise.

Location: loved being steps from a beautiful beach and walking distance to a couple other AMAZING beaches ! Go to Praia de Camilo for sunrise and then Ponta de Piedade for sunset! Parking probably is an issue in busier months as it’s public access and right by the beach!

During the summer this hotel would be a complete gem as it is only seconds away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, and has access to extensive cliff-top walks.

Breakfast was included in our package and it was self serve in Restaurant Luca at the rooftop overlooking the beautiful sea! Food was good! Lots of choices! Freshly baked pastries, expresso coffees, teas, juices, fresh fruits, cereals, eggs, meats and cheeses. Great breakfasts!

A fifteen minute walk to the old town and you will find many restaurants and shops.

The rooftop restaurant is unreal! It’s surround corner window view of the beach and ocean is mesmerizing and breakfast is over the top, buffet style. The gym also came in handy when we needed to stretch in the morning. Dinner on the Rooftop restaurant was fantastic, not too expensive.

With discrete and excellent service and attention to every detail, this small luxury hotel boasts a superb fine dining restaurant catering to all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and RAW, as well as an intimate Neal’s Yard Remedies ethical and organic spa. Here you will find the perfect escape.

Perfect location with amazing view on the Sea and Ponto do mos Praia, that you can access by a path on the cliffs, which is beautiful.

The property is located up on a cliff overlooking the water and public beach below. A very intimate feel as the rooms and buildings are all unique vs tall hotel buildings. The front desk staff were very welcoming and accommodating.
Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda is a very easy place to lose yourself. The hotel is arguably in the best location in Lagos for capturing spectacular views and total peace and quiet. We found it incredibly difficult to drag ourselves away from the deck chairs in the pool area which just happen to be on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean.
The deluxe double room are very quiet and spacious, with lower half of walls covered in beautiful Portuguese tiles. Fairly high tech for a boutique hotel, lots of lighting options. Balcony overlooked the pool and ocean. Huge bathroom with modern upgrades.
The breakfast is really good, with lots of options and the opportunity to order a hot breakfast of your choosing.
The restaurant spreads out to the front terrace and the view is breathtaking. Would recommend taking advantage of the daily breakfast. They will also make you eggs to order. We had dinner one night at the restaurant; it was good but definitely priced higher and there a lot of amazing dining options a mile away in town.
A great option for those looking for a more laid back, romantic atmosphere in Lagos. Close enough to downtown to walk but far enough away to be removed from the noise and crowds.

We will certainly return to this hotel again as it is in a great location for the town of Lagos and its many shops, bars and restaurants.
This is a true &  lovely gay friendly hotel. Very friendly and helpful service, modern rooms with lovely balconies, overlooking Marina at front. Downstairs restaurant served excellent breakfast but could use a bit more space for buffet offerings. Tiny bar off lobby and comfortable lobby seating.

Turn right out of hotel for 5 minute walk to all the amenities of charming old town where we enjoyed Las Artistas and Don Sebastiao dinners. Don’t miss Nature Foods on right next to supermarket for snacks/light lunch etc. Great value. Rooftop pool and terrace area offering 360 degree views.
The old town is very close with many different restaurants to choose from and even a local fish market nearby. The best beach ever is across the street a short walk away and we loved the restaurant on the beach too.
The location is fabulous with the marina area and the main square only minutes away. The rooftop area is quiet, relaxing and spotless with beautiful views over the marina. The rooms are a good size with aircon and a free safe and well maintained everyday by the very friendly housekeeping staff; fridge and kettle provided in room. Dressing gowns and slippers also. Hotel Lagosmar
Hotel Lagosmar

Hotel Lagosmar is a little gem, hidden in a quiet street just off the main square in the old town. Lagos (historic centre) is quite small and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. The main beach and harbour is a short stroll away, with Praia Dona Ana being a little bit further. We still walked there, but some folks might want to take a taxi.

Tucked Away on a cobbled street, yet right in the heart of old town Lagos. There was no noise whatsoever at night.6 min walk to Praia Da batata beach, which locals call the “town beach.

The room is fairly basic but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is included in the price and was very good and set me up for the day ahead. WIFI available in room. It was really clean and proximity to all amenities is such a bonus.

The room is fairly large by European standards and the bathroom was large to with a bathtub/shower as well as a bidet. The air conditioning worked great and you could adjust the setting with a remote. There was a TV and large closet and the beds were fairly comfortable.

Palmares Beach House Hotel

Located in Lagos in the Algarve Region, 3.1 km from Meia Praia Beach, Palmares Beach House Hotel – Adults Only features an outdoor swimming pool. The property also includes an on-site restaurant.

The rooms at the Palmares Beach House Hotel – Adults Only feature a private bathroom and a flat-screen cable TV. All include a balcony and views over the Atlantic Ocean.

A daily breakfast is served in the restaurant area. Guests wishing to taste Mediterranean cuisine can enjoy the on site restaurant. The surrounding area features a variety of fresh fish and seafood restaurants, many within a short 5-minute drive.

The feeling of A HOUSE BY THE SEA Situated in the Algarve, harmoniously integrated between the greens of the golf course and the blues of the majestic ocean, the Onyria Palmares Beach House Hotel offers, at each moment, an intimate connection with nature. Awake the senses…

In this place, special attention was given to the smallest detail in order to bring inside the calm and relaxation that the external environment conveys allied to the comfort and originality already a trade mark of this hotel group.

Not too far from the city of Lagos (you need a vehicle) is this beautiful place. The views of the ocean are amazing. Delicious breakfast in the morning and great staff.

The bedroom is large and comfortable, and every area of the hotel is spotlessly clean. The balcony is large, but privacy is slightly compromised by the design of the dividers between balconies. The beds are positioned so they look out over the private balcony to the ocean. Beautiful bathroom with fluffy white towels. The hotel was quiet and peaceful during our stay.

The rooms all have a super view of the ocean and are designed in a minimalist style. Too early in the year to sample the outdoor pool but its location had me wishing to return in warmer months. Excellent choice on this

Driving around the area is straightforward, and there are many beautiful beaches and small towns to explore. The adjacent golf complex boasts 3 9-hole golf courses which were somewhat congested when we were there.
If you are looking to be well looked after, and more than comfortable in a peaceful and beautiful place this is for you.

The room was fab (all have ocean views). The shower was spacious. The large bed faces the roomy balcony which overlooks the ocean. Leave the curtains open for the sun to wake you up. The only minor, minor complaint about the room is that the balcony door does not close from the outside, so you have to leave it at least slightly ajar if you’re on the balcony. No bugs flew in, though, so not a huge deal.

The hotel is not walkable to the Lagos town center, but is a short drive. There are a few locations with free parking, but pay parking was pretty cheap the one time we used a garage. We took a taxi one night because we wanted to drink. It only cost 10 Euros.

The hotel restaurant offered excellent dining options and a well stocked breakfast buffet.

breakfast buffet is served in the same area the following morning – nicely presented with a reasonable range of choice.
