The location is terrific. I like the fact that you are really staying in an actual neighborhood, not a tourist district. Makes you feel like a local! The bars and restaurants of Wilton Manors are a 5-minute drive away. There is every conceivable type of store on Federal Hwy. which is at the end of the block. And the beach is a ten-minute drive away. Some have said that they walk to the bars on Wilton Drive, I can’t imagine doing that. It’s a busy street and a pretty long walk. Just take a cheap Uber if you plan on drinking.

Took a much needed week of and stayed at the Cabanas in Wilton Manors. Wonderful place, doing an amazing job taking care of guests during all this pandemic. The staff, the guests at Cabanas are all super friendly. Most guys are wandering around nude, But everyone treats you with absolute respect. The resort itself is gorgeous with 2 pool options and a jacuzzi and bar, steam room and spa treatment centre. I highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good about my stay at the Cabanas. This was my second visit there, and as in my previous visit last year, I received only the very best from the staff, especially Tim and Michael. Their warm welcoming when I arrived, the fantastic massage from Dean and the manicure/pedicure from Juan all made for a memorable stay. This is simply the only place to stay as a gay man visiting Wilton Manors. The “clothing optional” is the “icing on the cake”. It feels like paradise and they treat you like royalty.

Everything else at Cabanas more than made up for my initial impression of my room… within an hour, my room was just a comfortable place to sleep.

Everyone was either very friendly, or at least polite. Tim, the manager, is as friendly and effective as reported in other reviews. Great for conversation when behind the bar, excellent for local recommendations. Remembered details about each guest. Superstar at making guests feel welcome.

I enjoyed hanging out at the little bar. Took me a few minutes to lighten up, but I was eventually chatting away with others. Even arranged to go out for a drink with another guy.

The small saltwater pool and hottub were great. I never used the main pool… its location across the parking lot is a little awkward. But others were using it.

The property is beautiful. Adjacent to a waterway and privacy landscaping make it a charming getaway. The staff and spa is 1st class and they keep the rooms clean and well kept up. A large heated pool (gay-clothing optional) and nice steam room add to the amenities.

As a frequent traveler to both mainstream and LGBT resorts around the world, I was referred to Cabanas Guesthouse by a friend. I didn’t really know what to expect but, the website looked nice and the location seemed perfect.

Little did I know this hidden gem tucked away just minutes from the action of Wilton Manors would be such an amazing getaway. The grounds are so beautiful and landscaped and manicured with such a Florida flare. My room was perfect with a private deck and view of the canal – it was my little hideaway for seven days.

Our stay was wonderful and our room was beautiful and comfortable! The owners Wes and Tim were awesome and the staff was amazing!! The breakfast i the morning was very good and the pool was heated and very clean. The newly added sundeck is a great addition to this quant and relaxing resort! It is within walking distance to all that Gay Wilton manors has to offer! Highly recommend this little slice of heaven.
The property itself is less than a 5 minute walk to Wilton Drive. I had room 8 which had a washing machine inside the room which was very convenient (I pack light when travelling and prefer just to wash my clothes). I could hear the train at night which was kind of sweet. The room itself was clean and well maintained. It was very nice to socialize with the other guests by the pool.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to either a single gay man or male couple looking for a convenient location to stay near Wilton Drive. The Calypso Inn offers good value compared to some of the other larger gay resorts in Fort Lauderdale. I really had a great time there and highly recommend.
Wonderful, location near great Wilton Manors gay bar, clubs etc. with around 8 cottages.
Simple straightforward great value (not luxury) clean lodging with good hospitality, good beds, good pool, good gardens, simple breakfast, air con.
If you are looking for great people…great prices and a low key island life GAY experience…then don’t overlook the Calypso Inn…it is right in the heart of Wilton Manors and all the gay life…happy campers here.

The owners really care for their guests and aim to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. From cooking meals to checking in on their guests, they really go the extra mile.

Hosts Ricardo and Giuseppe just did everything to make your stay enjoyable. From breakfast in the mornings with a variety of homemade preservatives. To meats and cheeses. You wanted for nothing. Ricardo took time to take me out and show me around the bars for a drink to get me acquainted with the area. And introduced me to lots of people he knew. The hosts both had a role to play in the guesthouse success. Also enjoyed the swims in the saltwater pool in the morning and at night. I would highly recommend this place if visiting Wilton Manors.

The property is extraordinary and is located just 2 blocks from the center of Wilton Manor. It was a great place to stay!

First impressions were fabulous. Very clean and modern design. The landscaping was stunning all around and especially by the salt water pool. Get in that pool! We were warmly greeted by Giuseppe and Ricardo and instantly felt like family. He showed us to our comfy queen room which was very spacious with a large closet and full bathroom. We were able to see the other guest rooms and they were very large as well. Decks surrounded the second floor with lovely views.

Also, the location is perfect and you can easily walk to all the Wilton Manors neighborhood spots. When we talked with locals and told them where we we staying, they lit up and praised Giuseppe and Ricardo! We’ve traveled a lot and stayed in many B & Bs, but this one is at the top of our list. We can’t wait to come back!

The property was spotless, beautiful and cozy. The hospitality was amazing! I really enjoyed my stay even though we had many things to do while in the area so I didn’t get a chance to take full advantage of the location.

Casa Hermès is located in a perfect spot for access to the Wilton Manor nightlife. The accommodations are super and Ricardo & Giuseppe are wonderful hosts!

Giuseppe and Ricardo are great, attentive, yet non-intrusive hosts. Nice homemade breakfast. Great, spacious room with comfortable, large bed and bathroom and great outside sitting area by the pool.
