Almost 216,345 Austrian Muslims (38%) live in the capital, Vienna. Roughly 30% of Muslims live in northern state outside of Vienna and an equal number (30%) live in the southern states of Austria.
By Crescent Rating, Austria is 69th rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.
How many mosques are there in Austria?
There are 205 registered mosques in Austria with hundreds more unregistered prayer rooms. There are four mosques in the country that were purpose-built with minarets. Despite a large amount of Balkan Muslims in the country, most Muslim organizations in Austria are dominated by Turks.
The Vienna Islamic Centre (German: Islamisches Zentrum Wien) is the largest mosque in Austria, located in Vienna’s 21st district Floridsdorf.
The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Austria do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Restaurant Gästehaus Feldkirchen

A breakfast buffet is offered everyday and contains cold cuts, fresh pastry, hot coffee, orange juice and cereals. The on-site restaurant Pizzeria Maria offers pizza, pasta, burgers and typical Austrian Wiener Schnitzel.

Along a major thoroughfare, this informal guesthouse is 1 km from Graz Airport and 4 km from the Murradweg R2, a scenic riverside cycle trail.

The unpretentious rooms come with complimentary Wi-Fi and satellite TV (some flat-screen), as well as en suite bathrooms.

There’s a cozy restaurant/bar with a terrace. Bike storage and washing facilities are also available.

At your arrival and check-in at our in-site restaurant “Pizzeria Maria” you can have dinner, a good-night-drink or just a snack, you are welcome to laugh or discuss, to make plans or to send greetings home by using our free WIFI. Your room is equipped with WIFI too, and sky TV will entertain you before you fall asleep.

The breakfast buffet from 6:30 next morning makes you fit for the day: crunchy pastry, cold cut, cereals, fruits, butter, jam, honey and… if you want some eggs will satisfy your hunger, while the coffee and juice will open your mind for the day´s action. Gästehaus Feldkirchen is situated near the city of Graz (10 km).

ou are not in Graz, you are in the southeastern suburb of Feldkirchen, a quarter-hour’s walk from the airport or a ten-minutes walk from the train that will take you to the main railway station — another ten minutes on the train, service every half-hour to every hour. Ideal for those flying into or from Graz, that is. So much for the location.

The room — I had a one-bedroom; large enough, comfortable bed, wonderfully clean (including the en-suite), excellent WiFi, a quiet little space-heater, lots of electrical outlets, large window. Yes, quiet, although the hotel is on a main road and near the airport. You’ll sleep well.
