Halal Hotels Bangkok

At present, there are about 1.4 million Thai Muslims in the three provinces, which accounts for 18% of the Thai Muslim population

How many mosques are there in Thailand

There are approximately 2,000 mosques in Thailand, about 100 of which are in Bangkok. Some 200 Muslim schools offer secular as well as religious instruction.

Thailand has been ranked the second most Muslim-friendly travel destination among destinations under the non-Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Darul Aman Mosque is a famous mosque in Bangkok. Being located at Phetchaburi Soi 7 also means that you can easily find halal food here and it is also quoted as one of the best place to experience halal street food like the locals.

Many international hotels in Bangkok do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Boasting views of Bangkok’s skyline, all spacious rooms at this property are neatly designed with Arabian motives.

Each rooms is air-conditioned and equipped with a flat-screen TV, a seating area and a minibar. The en suite bathroom comes with a bathtub and premium shower amenities. A praying mat is also provided in rooms. Guests will find a communal prayer room separated for men and women on site.

Set on a major city road, this elegant hotel in an Arabian-inspired building is a 4-minute walk from the Foundation of the Islamic Center of Thailand, 10 km from shops at MBK Center and 3 km from soccer matches at Rajamangala National Stadium.

Chic, warmly decorated rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screens, prayer mats and minifridges. The upscale suites add living areas and 4-poster beds. Room service is available 24/7.

Area shuttles and welcome drinks are free. A laid-back eatery and an understated Mediterranean restaurant offer halal dishes and non-alcoholic drinks. There’s also a gender-segregated rooftop pool and a gym, plus a prayer room.

The Al Meroz Hotel is Bangkok’s Leading Halal Hotel, conveniently located with easy access to Suvarnabhumi Airport and downtown Bangkok. It is also close to The Foundation of Islamic Centre of Thailand, which offers religious services and guidance to the Muslim Community.

The Hotel’s accommodation, dining and leisure facilities have been specially created to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of our Muslim and non-Muslim guests.

All meals served in our restaurants are Halal-certified and the Hotel is a non-alcoholic. A choice of luxurious rooms and suites is offered, with one floor reserved exclusively for our female guests. Our staff are respectfully trained and attired in the Muslim tradition, while retaining the warmth and hospitality for which Thailand is renowned.

For muslims who love food, this would be one of the best accommodation option for you.

Although there’s nothing much to the location, however it is a hotel which has a restaurant with halal food, a swimming pool with “lady service time” in the morning (7am – 12pm) and nice comfortable rooms. We really enjoyed breakfast as it was hard to get halal buffet hotel spread in Thailand.

I had chosen to stay in this hotel as it is completely a Muslim Halal place. Being a Muslim traveler, I found that this hotel has totally complied with all the halal requirements. It is very clean with well set up environment. The hotel provides a Surau for Muslim guests to pray. However, there is a Mosque situated just across the hotel which is only within 5 minutes walk.

There is the Ramkhamhaeng Train Station which you can use to travel to downtown Bangkok. The train also takes you direct to Suvarnabhumi International Airport in less than 30 minutes and if you are travelling light, it is advised that you could chose to take up this form of transportation.

For Muslim travellers, this hotel will be the best option so far! It has a full halal menu to dine in, also, a halal café called Sophia Cafe just right outside the hotel.

It doesn’t really hurt your pocket too! Apart from savoury thai delicacies and food, there are other varieties such as Mediterranean option in another restaurant within the hotel.

Elegant and classy lobby. Friendly staff. We were given welcome drinks when we checked-in. Room is tastefully furnished. This hotel serves halal food. Non-Muslims are most welcome to stay in this hotel too.

Quite a walking distance to the nearest BTS station, Ramkhamhaeng but there is a shuttle service at designated timings. Nothing to see in the vicinity but if you are a Muslim, you can go to the Islamic Foundation Centre opposite the hotel. Take a cab to The Mall Bangkapi. As it is not a tourist attraction, prices are very reasonable for gadgets and accessories as compared to MBK.

A halal restaurant is just outside the hotel; Sofia Restaurant. Otherwise, hotel food is affordable too. Breakfast is nice. For Muslim travellers, you can eat without feeling doubtful unlike at other 4* hotels in Bangkok.

Room rate is not expensive. I will stay here again the next time I go to Bangkok again.

If you are a Muslim when you arrive in Bangkok you do not have to worry anymore because Al Meroz Hotel is a very right choice. Why Al Meroz Hotel …? Just Because Al Meroz Hotel is the First Halal Hotel in Bangkok. 100% Halal in all aspects of Islamic Law. In the vicinity of the hotel there are also Islamic settlements, mosques and Islamic restaurants. Service and courtesy of workers is completely in accordance with Islamic teachings.

The fresh fragrance from the Hotel Lobby to the guest rooms. I see many non-Muslim hotel customers also staying here, probably because of the complete facilities, large and beautiful rooms and very good food.

The halal Nouvo City Hotel is a 15-minute walk from popular Khaosan Road and heritage sites like the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew. Suvarnabhumi Airport is about 28 km from the hotel.

Surrounded by restaurants and shops, this laid-back hotel is a minute’s walk from a bus stop, 4 minutes on foot from the Banglamphu Market and 2 km from the ornate Grand Palace, built in 1782.

Casual rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screens and minibars, plus rainfall showers. The 1- and 2-bedroom suites add whirlpool tubs. Room service is available 24/7.

Parking and a 1-way area shuttle are complimentary. Halal food is served in 2 relaxed restaurants.

A rooftop deck features colorful sun loungers, a pool and a bar. Additional amenities include another outdoor pool, a gym, and a spa with an open-air massage area.

The four-star modern boutique style and halal-certified hotel in the old city Bangkok area near Khao San Road. The finest in accommodations in the city’s city center and palace area with full facilities and located within walking distance to many of the city’s top attractions.
Two swimming pools, two restaurants, an organic spa, a fitness room, tour desk, and 24-hour services await you at the Nouvo City Hotel.

Nouvo City Hotel is in a great location – about 3 blocks and easy walking distance from Khao San Rd. It is far enough away that it is quiet at night but close to a multitude of restaurants and shops. The hotel doesn’t serve alcohol but that isn’t a problem as there are small bars and restaurants directly across the street. Our room was a good size and both the room and bathroom were very clean. Pool is clean and refreshing however it does close at 8pm and the rooftop cannot be accessed after this time.

The buffet breakfast was good, nothing to get excited about, as it is a Muslim run hotel there is no pork served (bacon, ham etc) but there were other options available so not a big deal.

The hotel is owned by Muslims and as such doesn’t not have any alcohol for sale, but worry not, there are plenty of opportunities just accords the street.

Our room was large with comfortable beds and great AC. The bathroom had all the necessary items as well.

What really makes this hotel is the location. It is in the heart of the old town, just minutes from the bustle of Khao San road but without any of the noise. The street outside of the hotel has terrific little restaurants, a hair salon, 2 massage studios and a couple of tailors.

The rooms were clean and in the morning a huge breakfast is available with just about anything you can think of on offer, including homemade omelets and waffles. There are 2 pools as well at this hotel.

Nouvo City Hotel is a solid hotel located centrally in the backpackers district near KhaoSan Road. A quarter that I personally do not like that much – but regarding our short stay and the plans we had it was just right. Room rates are a little high (you get better rooms than here for that price in Bangkok) but that’s probably because it’s so centrally located. Staff is super nice.

Attention: this is a Muslim friendly hotel so no alcoholic beverages allowed in the public spaces of that hotel nor in the minibar.

This hotel has halal restaurants and muslim facilities like prayer room and water hose in toilets which can be available in most hotels in Bangkok.

The hotel has everything a large luxury hotel should have.

Very helpful staff, nice large rooms with good working airco, good showers, 2 swimming pools (1 on the roof), spa, conference rooms, fitness, etc… The breakfast is very good, but remember as this is a Muslim hotel, it does not serve alcohol nor porc.

The hotel’s location is excellent, within easy walking distance of Khao San Road and other major sites. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful.

Prospective guests should be aware that no alcohol is served anywhere on the premises, including at the poolside bar, in keeping with the hotel’s halal certification; but there are some great watering holes located right across the street.

Both Sara Restaurant & Canal Cafe provided sumptuous food especially at Sara Restaurant, where food, though Halal, was authentically & tastefully Thai!

Great stay. Excellent Hotel in Bangkok. Has a Halal restaurant and prayer room. 2 swimming pools, Sauna, Massage, gym etc all u need to take a break from the hustle and bustle surrounding it. Excellent staff.

Very polite. Laundry will be returned like new clothes packed in plastic with cardboard. Great Halal breakfast. You can get waffles, eggs made to order in live kitchen. Great variety of fresh fruits and drinks.

Our luxurious accommodation features 386 spacious rooms and suites, outstanding restaurants, and bars.

This stylish hotel combines traditional Thai Charm with refined modern amenities and state of the art conference facilities for meetings and seminars, making it one of the best Bangkok hotels for leisure and business travelers alike.

Room: The rooms were spacious, neat and comfortable. The bathrooms had a Muslim shower which is a very important tool for South Asians. We were very impressed overall.

Hotel Management: They welcomed us with drinks and were always extremely helpful. The fact that it was our second visit, they surprised us by updating our rooms to a suite. It was an extremely kind gesture and we are thankful to them for that.

Breakfast: The breakfast was tasty and there was a lot of variety. There were several options of Pakistani/Indian food present as well. However, i would like to suggest them that they should offer a new menu everyday as it can get repetitive at times.

Location: The location was great. There were night clubs, massage parlors nearby. However, since we were travelling with family, we preferred other things such as spending time at Starbucks, shopping and etc. There were several fast food joints at a walking distance and terminal 21 is also very near!!! ( amazing shopping mall) We loved the location. 711 is also next to the hotels entrance and that was very convenient.

Just of the main Sukhumvit Road tucked away in a quiet street is the Grand hotel, just a stones throw from the Nana station and the absolutely efficient train service. Our rooms were delightfully spacious and fully fitted with a kitchenette a lounge and huge bathroom.

A very comfortable retreat after a hectic day of sightseeing and shopping. The reception and staff were very pleasant and the breakfast catered for a halal preference which is always a blessing for Muslim travelers.

Location; A really short 5 min walk from Nana BTS. A great area for Muslim travellers or those who love Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern food or Indian food. Plenty of choices even for really late at night snack.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel’s sign were sometimes lit up and sometimes were not. This could pose a problem for travellers arriving at night from the BTS station. Anyway, loved the gym and pool!

The gym is equipped with pretty much everything you need for a great workout. Perhaps, they could invest in a step board. The pool is beautiful and can look pretty romantic at night. Having said that, this hotel has been around for some time and you can expect certain things to look dated or old. The corridor outside of our room could do with a little bit more lights as it seems pretty dim and dark.

Room; We were upgraded to a bigger room (more like a mini apartment) which was spacious.

The little kitchen/ pantry was equipped with a stove and microwave oven on top of the usual fridge (albeit a big one) and kettle. Lots of cupboard space which allows me to display my outfits for the trip. The bathroom was definitely big and spacious with a dressing table in the little “walk-in wardrobe”. Again, the hotel is not exactly new and you cannot expect new looking furnishings/ equipment. What you can expect though, is a very clean hotel.

Service: Overall, service was impeccable. The staff were generally very nice, professional and proactive.

Constantly greeting us and checking if we need any help. Kudos to them! However, minor little things like serving the welcome drinks on a tray, replacing the face towels and be more relaxed when serving us at the reception could really up their game.

The location is lovely and small mosques and halal food joints dotted around (for Muslim tourists).

The view from our apartment was amazing and we could sit there and look out all night. Free boat ride to the bts and very close to Asiatique and banyan tree rooftop.

We had beautiful city view from our room balcony.
Breakfast dishes was decent, could have been better.Appreciate that they tag halal sign on meats that can be consumed by muslims.

Chatrium Hotel Riverside ticked all the boxes for exceptional customer service for me on my recent stay with them.

I was pleasantly surprised when the Resident Manager lived up to his commitment of introducing us to the Executive Chef on our arrival to discuss Halal food arrangements.

Excellent location – the free hotel shuttle boat gives you a drop to the Sathorn Pier every 15 minutes from where you can connect to the BTS, so we didn’t waste too much time or money on traveling!

Lovely Room – we were placed in room 2405 which has an excellent view of the city (personally I prefer this to the river view). The room is artfully decorated and water and fruits are complimentary. Bathroom was nice (Indian travellers beware of absence of faucet! 🙂 ) all that you’d expect from a 5 star. The bed was very comfortable.

Swimming Pool – we probably enjoyed the pool the most – a bit funny that the changing rooms/washrooms are a short walk away from the pool but that’s negligible

Breakfast – The breakfast spread is quite considerable and has a decent mix for all kinds of appetites – Muslim travelers note that halal food is not clearly marked and may well be placed next to Pork items but you can speak with the helpful Kitchen team to get customised orders for yourself.

5. Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok 4* – Halal Hotels Bangkok

Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok

Housed within landscaped grounds, Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok offers homely, value-for-money suites overlooking a peaceful neighbourhood. Amenities include a landscaped pool, fitness centre and free parking. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

Suvarnabhumi Airport is a 50-minute drive from the hotel.

Chatrium Residence Sathon Bangkok provides elegantly furnished accommodation with spacious interiors. It features a fully equipped kitchen, balcony and free WiFi access.

The hotel has also a 1 or 2 or 3 bedroom residence with all the amenities of a hotel. The location is ideal for those who seek quiet and peaceful area. The pool us ideal for famiky and the landscape is breathtaking. Well done

There are within 5 to 10 min walk 7-11 shops, massage and spa, money exchange at very good rates better than banks, coffee shops including Starbucks and Korea,Chinese, indian restaurants including halal and pure vegetarian.

The hotel staff are very good especially restaurant staff are extremely hard working and courteous.

Nicely located hotel with lot of activities around. Halal and vegetarian food was a surprize to find at the doorstep. Central plaza is also a good shopping destination in close proximity. The staff and service was also commendable. We would definitely recommend this property.

Unlike busy Sukhumvit area, the location is calm and air is clean. 18 years ago, it was difficult to come to the hotel by taxi from Sukhumvit. But now every taxi driver knows the hotel. The swimming pool is in a tropical jungle and is big enough to enjoy swimming. The views of Bangkok from the 17th floor is superb. Particularly the views of sunrise and sunset are heartbreaking. The Coffee Club on the ground floor serves good coffee and good snack. It is convenient when our friends visit us for a chat.

Our housekeeper is a caring person and cleans our rooms professionally everyday.

Location of the hotel

Slightly far away from main shopping areas like Platinum Fashion Mall and MBK Center. Frankly, it would take you about 15 minutes to go to these places, but Bangkok traffic is horrendous and we have taken about 45 minutes to reach these malls from the hotel. Located on a street off the main road which is good because the hotel is in a quite neighborhood.

Going about the hotel

The hotel has different towers. From the lobby you need to go up to a particular floor which houses the swimming pool, the restaurants, etc. (if I am not mistaken on the 4th floor) and from that floor you have to go to different towers like Tower 4, 5, etc. for your room. So, you have to change lifts to ultimately reach your room. Takes a bit of time and a bit of walking. But, it is nice because it gives you a feeling of a condo rather than a hotel.

Wifi

Connects well and we faced no problem. Every area is well connected even if the hotel is well spread out.

Breakfast: Simply awesome spread. Daily complimentary breakfast is at Albricias Restaurant (very difficult to pronounce I must say!).

The spread is exhausting. With options from Indian garlic naan (!) to sushi you have almost everything you can think of. The restaurant is huge and you will never have a problem finding a place. The service is good and fast. Just have one observation.

We wanted to have tea and there were no tea bags kept anywhere. So, I had to ask a waiter who then took it out from a cupboard and gave me. I wonder why they don’t keep tea bags outside for customers to find easily. But, very tasty breakfast with a wide range of options.

Swimming pool

Lovely swimming pool the kinds you feel like visiting with your family and spending some time. Well designed with designated kids pool.

With lovely format of bridges and green vegetation all around, gives you many spots of shade on a hot sunny day too. Towels are readily available at the pool side.
