Nice location, big and quiet room, and a delicious breakfast, served by the younger brother, made the stay perfect. When Ghent, then Carlton.

This small renovated hotel is owned by brothers who want your stay to be wonderful. A very very short walk from the train station makes this an easy stop and one also can easily catch the bus to the old city center of Ghent which is a LONG walk despite what some might tell you.
The breakfasts include all wonderful things from a European buffet and a menu from which you may order Rosti and other delights made to your liking.

The back rooms are quiet and lovely with large windows and the modern furnishings were appreciated.
I would stay here again for sure.

The F & B supervisor Kristof Cuppens was excellent. His service was flawless. Made us feel very welcome and did his best to accommodate all our request as we needed halal food.

It is nice to know that the hotel had certified halal food. Need also to congratulate the Chef whose culinary skills were brilliant as the food served in front of us was very tasty.

If you want a view of the Groenplaats you have to book a Groenplaats Suite (12 in total) or either an Ambassador Suite or the Royal Suite.

Furthermore the Groenplaats Suites are back set at least five meters from the front of the building. Thus the third floor suites have more a view of the gravel atop the second floor than the Plaats itself.

In terms of location, the Hilton Antwerp Old Town, cannot be beaten. It is definitely an ideal hotel to explore the beauty of Antwerp.
