Halal Hotels Berlin

Owing to labour migration in the 1960s and several waves of political refugees since the 1970s, Islam has become a visible religion in Germany. An estimate published in 2016 for 2015 calculated that there are 4.4 to 4.7 million Muslims in Germany (5.4–5.7% of the population).
By Crescent Rating, Germany is 43rd rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.
How many mosques are there in Germany?
According to the Bundestag researchers, Germany is home to “at least 2,350 to 2,750 mosque congregations.
The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Berlin do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Best Day Tours in Berlin for Muslim Travelers

Berlin, Germany’s capital, dates to the 13th century. Reminders of the city’s turbulent 20th-century history include its Holocaust memorial and the Berlin Wall’s graffiti remains. Divided during the Cold War, its 18th-century Brandenburg Gate has become a symbol of reunification. The city’s also known for its art scene and modern landmarks like the gold-colored, swoop-roofed Berliner Philharmonie, built in 1963

1. Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin 5* – Halal Hotels Berlin

Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin

Just 100 m from the Kurfürstendamm boulevard, the life-style hotel Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin is characterized by elegance and understatement, it offers air-conditioned rooms, free WiFi and a French restaurant. Guests have free use of the spa and gym.

Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin has modern architecture. Its rooms and suites feature dark woods and high windows. Every room comes with a flat-screen TV and a BOSE sound system. The bathrooms include a bathtub, a separate shower and bathrobes. A complimentary bottle of water is also included.

Restaurant Le Faubourg offers a fusion of traditional French cuisine with modern techniques and an outdoor terrace overlooking Kurfürstendamm. Guests can enjoy a drink in the evening at the Lounge Bar Le Faubourg.

A minute’s walk from Kurfürstendamm’s shops and dining, this high-end hotel is also a 12-minute walk from Zoo Berlin and 4 km from the Brandenburg Gate.

Upscale rooms and suites have marble bathrooms and 24-hour room service, and come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, desks and minibars. Upgraded suites add living areas with dining tables and access to a lounge with free breakfast, drinks and snacks.

There’s a classy French restaurant, a chic lounge bar with a weekend DJ, and a library lounge. Other amenities include a spa, a fitness room, 16 meeting rooms and a business center.

The elegant 4-star-superior Dorint Kurfuerstendamm Berlin with its 311 rooms and suites is located in the heart of City West, in the immediate vicinity of the legendary shopping street Kurfürstendamm. Architecture, art and design are closely linked in the Sofitel Berlin Kurfürstendamm: the hotel’s modern, straightforward architecture provides the ideal setting for a renowned collection of contemporary art.

Uniform design features that span all areas create a calm, clear atmosphere.

Location: Decide where you want to visit in Berlin and choose your accommodations accordingly, This Sofitel is located in the K’damm area, so it’s not as convenient if you want to do a lot of sightseeing in Stadtmitte or the former East. On the other hand, it is convenient to get to Tegel airport. If you a returning car, a rental car facility for several car companies (for Hertz, it’s the Berlin Ku-Damm/Zoo branch) is just a few blocks away at the Europa Center. The hotel’s valets were extremely helpful in unloading our luggage and directing us where to turn in the car.

The Executive Lounge is on the 11th floor, and open weekdays from 7 am – 11 am for continental breakfast (on weekends/holidays till 1 pm); afternoons at 3 pm for cake and tea/coffee (don’t know the end time for that); then 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, snacks, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and great choices of wine — all free.

The Executive Lounge’s “continental breakfast” is more than it sounds; unless you are a lumberjack, you will have plenty to start your day, including a selection of meats and cheeses, wonderful bread, smoothies, yogurt, fruit, etc.

We didn’t notice the two hot buffet dishes on the other side of the room, eggs and bacon, I think.

There’s a menu for some additional dishes made-to-order for an upcharge. We were there on a Saturday morning, and the lounge wasn’t crowded at all.

If you have Executive Lounge access, you don’t need to book the hotel’s breakfast buffet downstairs as you will have plenty in the Lounge. The service by Lounge personnel was top-notch.

This is a hotel located steps away from the Ku’dam which means, it is close enough to pretty much everything of the former “West Berlin” including shops, restaurants of all types, pharmacies, public transportation, department stores (there’s one right across the street).

However, a 20 minute taxi ride will get you to the Alexander platz area. Taxis are abundant and there’s almost always one awaiting to pick up a guest at this hotel. Berlin Tegel is about a 25 minute drive, it depends on the time of the day and a taxi should cost about 25 euros.

The Staff manning the Front Desk are very corteous and efficient and will recognize you as a frequent guest. They appreciate and understand the needs of a business traveller and will whisk you to your room even if you check in earlier than the official time. Having said that, I guess it depends on the availability of rooms.

Rooms are large in size, very well equipped with a big washroom where you will have a tub and a shower. Washroom amenities are actually pretty good. Right across the washroom is the closet which is great for getting dressed in the morning. There’s a complimentary electronic safe next to it which fits a laptop.

Beds are really comfortable with reading lights. You’ll find an area to work right in front of your bed which will be facilitated by complimentary high-speed internet.

There’s a small fitness area at the hotel, just do not expect a fully-equipped gym, it’s just good enough to keep fit while on a trip. If you fancy going for a run, I’d simply go out to the Ku’damm and avail of the fresh air.

Loved the authentic ecological/organic/zen concept. Amazing food if you like vegan/organic fare. Staff are super attentive, and there are loads of little natural touches in the choice of furniture, lighting and atmosphere.

With just short walk to AlexanderPlatz this is a perfect location for your first visit to Berlin. You can walk by foot to all the major tourist attractions and the TV tower will guide you back to the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with in-room safety box and a fridge. I didn’t like the glass door to the bathroom as it does not give you any privacy. The room gets cleaned every day.
Overall pretty good hotel in a perfect location. good value for money. I did not eat breakfast in the hotel but strolled to one of the coffee shops nearby as I usually do.

It’s literally 5 min walk from the S/U Bhan and also has a tram stop nearby.

The room was small but again we knew this but must say how clean and modern it was as well.

We asked for a room with a view of the TV tower and they did this.

We had the breakfast option too and again was plentiful with lots of variety.

Access to all the sights in Berlin is easy and from the Hotel to Brandenberg Gate was only a 35 min walk. Passing lots of food places and Hotel is just off the Mitte area and again has plenty of dining and entertainment options.

Transport really does put London to shame as getting around is really simple. You can get the various transport tickets from the Holiday Inn reception desk at no extra charge. All you do is validate the tickets before travelling.

It’s also worth noting that the daily breakfast buffet is absolutely superb; it may seem pricey at first, but in the all-important departments of variety and quality, it totally shames the competition.
