How many mosques are there in Cambodia?
There are 884 mosques and 314 Islamic schools, according to figures from the Ministry of Cults and Religion
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Cambodia do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

The Rosewood Phnom Penh is impeccable! The furnishings, the decor, the facilities, the cleanliness, every millimetre has been finished to the highest level. We have enjoyed room service and breakfast so far and both were amazing. The staff have the perfect balance between being friendly and extremely professional. There is a brilliant kid’s club which even has dress up clothes. The pool area is spacious, clean and yes, it has a great view.
The view from the Rosewood makes it hard to look at anything else so you’ll need more than one night in this fantastic property to enjoy all it has to offer. We’ll be back for sure!
From the stunningly appointed room to the welcoming and accommodating (but never intrusive) service, our entire stay was flawless. We stayed in a suite with breathtaking views up and down the lengths of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers. The room was large yet comfortable, with lots of thoughtful details (the TV in the wall above the bath is very cool). The ready-to-go Negroni that we enjoyed on arrival was delightful and really helped us unwind immediately.
The automated blinds and comfortable bed ensured total darkness and a great sleep. Our stay was relaxing, restorative and indulgent and exactly what we had hoped for.

Room had a king sized bed. There was bath tub and shower. Sink was big. Fridge is available. Coffee and tea sachets provided and replenished daily. TV had over 50+ channels including AXN, FOX movies, cartoon network.
Didn’t get to try out the pool but it looked awesome. Champa cafe was stocked with cakes and macarons. By evening time they were almost gone. The Lotus restaurant was big. One thing about their breakfast. There was a lot of pork dishes. Being a muslim, had to settle for bread, salad and cereal.
Staff was awesome and gracious. As were everyone in the country. Next to hotel, a big minimart. Next to it, a kind of shopping centre. Walk down further you’ll reach the king’s garden. Nice place to walk around. Another street from the hotel, 10-15 mins walk, you’ll find Old Market.
Great place to shop and bargain. Lots of ‘made in Cambodia’ stuffs. Personal fav is the dried foods area. Banana chips. Sweet potato chips. Taro chips. All vacuum packed and for 1 USD only.
The bathroom was fantastic. Housekeeper changed towels and replenish toiletries everyday. They have small pantry and mini fridge. With the humid and hot weather outside, entering the room was like a heaven! I recommend anyone who wishes to stay in this hotel.
Food was great, wide spread and of course for Muslim is a bit tough. But they have cereals, egg bar and loads of bread to choose from. I wonder how they baked the bread coz it was so delicious and crispy.. yummy!
Reception area has this smell of lemongrass (so refreshing!), big swimming pool and its surrounding area was superbly clean and beautiful. A lot of wonderful architecture and cooling small pool (but no fishes) at the front entrance with decorative lotuses everywhere… it’s just breathtaking.
Pharmacy is just across the road, and they sell mostly all medicines and face-mask. If you are alright to walk, there a lots of spas nearby (from 1USD for foot massage – 8USD for whole body massage). They have only one Mall called Lucky Mall – inside they have small supermarket, bakery, jewelleries and stationery shop. ATMs were many too.
If you’re tired of walking, take a tut-tut. Only 1USD from hotel to Old Market | Night Market. Quite a ride and fun too.

Understated quarters in a relaxed hotel with a restaurant, a rooftop terrace & loaner bikes.
Breakfast even though other reviewers say limited, it was definitely better than others we had in Kep and other areas.
They were accommodating for my 6 year old Son who only wanted some sausages and scrambled eggs. The coffee here is good but then again all places so far in Cambodia have good coffee machines and make their coffees well. Our room was good, ac in both rooms (it was a suite) nice decor and also had fans in both rooms so you can choose to have the fan on and the a/c off at night. Beds were very comfortable.
The location is an easy walking distance to the riverfront and the durian roundabout (smallish night market). The location is good, and far enough from the main road.
I would stay here again and recommend this for families and couples who want to stay in a boutique style hotel.
