Halal Hotels Canada

There are about 1,053,945 Muslims in Canada. This has been shown to increase every census (10 years). A majority of the Muslims in Canada follow Sunni Islam, and a minority of them follow Shia Islam and Ahmadiyya Islam

By Crescent Rating, United States is 36th rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.

How many mosques are there in United States?

Not all Muslim houses of prayer are mosques, with Nizari Ismaili Jama’at Khanas, of which there are over 90 in Canada including a major Ismaili Centre in both Toronto and Vancouver

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Canada do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

I really appreciated the genuine, warm hospitality from everyone at Loden Hotel and the Tableau Bar Bistro.

My room was a beautiful, comfortable place to stay, and the food at the restaurant was excellent. I look forward to staying here again longer on my next trip.

This hotel offers excellent service and very beautiful rooms. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful.

The rooms are clean and I love that they have Dyson hair dryers included! Their newly renovated restaurant downstairs is a must try! Excellent location, excellent people.

The room was very clean and we had an amazing view of the mountains and water, along with a bottle of prosecco, some chocolates, and a handwritten card waiting for us. The front desk staff and management were very polite and made sure to greet us by name whenever they saw us.

The took an interest in our vacation and asked if there was anything they could help us with or if we had any questions.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I had requested a Halal diet and I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to accommodate!! In most other places I would end up eating veggies of seafood. The views are spectacular and the room was very cozy for that cold snowy night.

To make a long story short, this place exceeded our expectations and we have nothing but good things to say about the kings and queens of hospitality Krista, Joanne, Clayton, Kate, Becky and the rest of the Morgan family. The food was absolutely out of this world, five star dining at its best and two thumbs up for both Chef Eric and Chef Michael who literally went out of their way to source halal meats and poultry for our visit. The dining room service and 5 course meal par excellence.

On our first night, sirloin steak done perfect just the way we like. Moist and juicy chicken pesto on our second night and the best fish and chips anywhere on this planet on our last night.

A metro station is conveniently less than 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Hotel Nelligan’s elegant accommodations pair century-old stone walls with a chic, modern decor. Natural light flows through the 44 rooms, 59 suites and 2 penthouses, while stately furnishings and high-end amenities punctuate the ambiance.

The location was perfect for walking around Old Montreal. We were well situated for local restaurants and shops, although the area was still suffering from the effects of Covid closures. The hotel lobby was really nice, with a couple of comfortable seating areas. It also gave easy access to the breakfast area that was tucked into the courtyard. The area was used as a wine bar later in the day. There is a roof-top terrace that offers a limited number of appetizers and main dishes and serves a variety of specialty cocktails, wine and a small selection of beers. We ate there twice and both meals were very good.

All staff were very professional and friendly and service was excellent, from valet parking, check-in, breakfast wait staff to the terrace wait staff. Our room was amazing. We had a dining area with a wet bar, fridge and coffee maker, a large couch, chair, desk, and a fireplace. In the bedroom, we had another chair, king bed, huge soaker tub and separate bathroom with pedestal sink and walk-in shower. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated.

My favourite aspect of the hotel is its location. Well situated in Old Montreal and a manageable walk to downtown Mtl. The ambiance is also really nice. Definitely a happening place. The staff and service is always very good. We stayed in a Superior King room which was very spacious and comfortable.

My only complaint with the room is the shower pressure and the lighting in the bathroom – could be improved upon. We were happy to find a mini fridge instead of a mini bar, but the fridge did not cool well.
