Halal Hotels Cologne
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Cologne do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

The hotel offers buffet breakfast for a surcharge. There’s also a posh restaurant and bar, a sleek lounge with a fireplace, and a rooftop lounge. Additional amenities include a fitness center and a spa.
This hotel is gorgeous. It’s very modern looking, so if that’s not your thing, you might not like it, but I thought it was cool. It’s also perfectly located – soooo close to the main train station and Dom. I paid a great price, and the room was very comfortable. The staff were great, too. The a/c works beautifully as well, which was clutch during the historic heat wave! And, there is a rooftop bar that makes excellent cocktails.
The only complaints I have are the pillows are really flimsy, so thicker ones would be nice; the shower floor could be a bit slick for those who are less sure-footed; and there was no outlet near the bed.
The hotel has interesting, ‘cool’ decor. We stayed in one of the apartments for one night. It was spacious and we loved the ultra-modern bathroom and shower with changing lights. It was slightly irritating to be charged EUR 1 per capsule to get two coffee capsules, but otherwise the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was more than adequate (probably totally ok for much longer stays – there was a microwave, a stove, and even a dishwasher).
My favorite, apart from the awesome large shower, was that the toilet was in a completely separate room that had its own mirror and sink. I’ve never seen that before in a hotel. I strongly prefer a separate room for the toilet and this was even better.
The sauna area is OK – there is a small hammam and two saunas, plus a cold area, as well as a sitting area and some drinks.

I stayed here to visit the Christmas markets in Cologne. The closest market was a 5 minute walk away. The furthest was about 25 minutes. Only 15 minute walk from the Cathedral and train station. Great location. The rooms was really nice with a huge bed and lots of complimentary toiletries. When I checked in I was given a map of Cologne.
The member of staff circled where all the Christmas markets were and gave me his recommendations. Lovely cocktails in the bar on 12th floor. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel was very nice and modern, and the breakfast was great each morning. Pretty typical european breakfast but there was a lot of variety and champagne and an egg station.
The location was about a 10 minute walk to the Koln Dom and about a 10 minute walk to the other markets in town.
The Pullman is in a great location with everything in walking distance, including cafes, restaurants and plenty of shopping, plus the river and all of the Christmas Markets.
We asked for a quiet room and were put at the end of the hall in 635, a large room with modern decor and all the comforts of home. The room was quiet, comfortable and a wonderful retreat from the excitement and buzz of the markets.
The location is very central and walking distance to the Christmas Markets we planned to visit.
The room given was clean, dust free and was cleaned daily. Complimentary bottled water, tea and instant coffee was given in the room. No welcome drink. Our bed is very spacious but it’s a two single bed conjoined.
