Halal Hotels Croatia
The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food.
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Croatia do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace, now a history museum. Paved with limestone, the pedestrianized Stradun (or Placa) is lined with shops and restaurants.

This hotel, though far away from main city but has got all the amenities to have a wonderful stay. We had a lovely early morning walk around the place. Rooms were simple but clean & airy. Hotels staffs were very courteous.
A highly recommended Hotel for those who wants a calm stay away from the busy city.
The hotel is located outside of Zabgreb only 15 min away from the airport. Getting into the city can be done by public transport in only 20-30 min leaving every 5 min only a short walk away from the hotel. The hotel itself is a very classic business hotel, rooms were clean and functional , wifi worked fine. Breakfast offered a good choice.
The only negative point is the coffee… which was really bad, fruits seemed to be out of the can instead of freshly cut. All in all the Hotel Aristos met our expectations and we would come back.
The hotel itself is fairly nice, it is located in a business area mid-way between Zagreb airport and city center. There is a convenient bus nearby for the city center. Also there is a convenience store and a few cafes nearby. The hotel breakfast was excellent, but dinner was average.
The hotel staff were friendly and the room was comfortable, however there is no tea coffee maker and iron in the room. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The rooms were good quality and towels changed daily whether you ask or not, brilliant view from 3032 as we asked for a gable end room and had both a garden and sea view. Wifi was very good indeed and you can get a choice of pillows.
Some whining about the food here, but we always found something appetizing to eat, omelettes were magic, but very popular so there was often a queue. Every day I ate lovely salads, different soups every night, freshly cooked meat, fresh salmon, capers, the only slight disappoint for me was the sweets, but there was plenty and good quality ice cream and cheese and biscuits.
No chips or chicken nuggets or other “beige” food served if you catch my drift, but I fail to see how you can’t something to please with so much choice, halal, vegetarian options all catered for.
If this is your first time to Dubrovnik, you will find that accommodation here is not cheap. Compared to other cities in Europe, I was slightly surprised at how much things cost here (accommodation, food etc). However, you do get what you pay for, and I would highly advise to stay in a hotel if you can afford it, rather than Air B&B as there is a significant difference in terms of quality.
Valamar is a chain of hotels and resorts throughout Croatia. In Dubrovnik alone, there are 5 – Valamar Lacroma is a 4-star hotel. The only 5-star Valamar is the Valamar President. One good thing to know is they are all essentially next to each other and therefore you can use the President’s beach even if you stay at Lacroma.
The hotel is well-designed, spacious, and has a nice sea view if you manage to get the sea-view rooms. Although the beach is not right in front of your doorstep, it’s only a 5-minute walk away. There are swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and they are both beautifully maintained and adequate in size. We enjoyed our time on the beach as well as in the pools. Sauna is included in the room price, although I think spa treatments are extra.
The big bonus point for me was the breakfast. As a Muslim, we were pleasantly surprised that this hotel was a halal-friendly hotel and therefore there were halal meat options during breakfast. Apart from this, breakfast options were plentiful and fresh (omelette bar, etc).
Finally, the staff were excellent. We did not have a single complaint to make, and this is credit to all the staff who work there.

With a jacuzzi, steam room, two saunas and a pool (all of which but the steam room are accompanied by sea views), it’s easy to enjoy some R&R just a few minutes‘ walk (or elevator ride) from your room. The panoramic sauna is especially nice. Only complaints about the spa are the music (both mildly annoying and unnecessary/unwanted) and the chatters [guests: please be quiet in the “quiet” areas (designated by a sign saying as much), and staff: please tell chatty guests to be quiet].
The rooms are clean and comfy, and the only complaint is that it seemed like the central heating negated our ability to control the temperature in our room? Either that or we couldn’t figure it out (which is kind of a problem, i.e., it should be easy to figure out how to control the room’s temp).
The staff was friendly, and Taya was especially welcoming. She upgraded us as well, completely on her own volition, and she was very nice whenever we interacted with her.
The halal buffet breakfast was good, sufficient, and varied. No complaints there. The location was also excellent: right across the street from the sea and within walking distance to shops and restos (though most are closed or takeaway only right now due to The Covid). Also, the onsite parking is convenient.

Hotel is very large with a few different blocks. Staff very friendly and provided a good service. Location is great, about 15 minutes drive from Split. Hotel run a regular shuttle bus into the city.
Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and good quality food.
Lots of dining options on site, enjoyed the restaurants overlooking the marina.
Pool area and beach are the best thing about this hotel. We had stunning view from balcony on 9th floor.
There are a bunch of restaurants in the harbor and a beach club called gooschter beach which are all available for charges to your room which was awesome. There are also a bunch of shops like tobacco or alcohol in the marina as well. We ate at conlemanis and leonis (Italian and Mediterranean). I would only suggest conlemanis for their pizzas. Leonis was delicious and we enjoyed a scampi risotto and a grilled brine fish.
Additionally, there is a car rental agency called last minute that is in the hotel and we were able to rent a car with Luca (who was exceptional ) for our drive to Plitvice lakes. This was a 3 hour drive from our hotel and we left at 4am following the reviews of others and it was a magical avatar experience.
The Le Meridien Lav is the perfect choice when in the Split area. The grounds are nicely kept with lots of vegetation and the hotel is newly renovated. We had a sea view room that had been recently done with a comfortable bed, duvet and pillows. The interior of the new rooms is calming and very nicely done. It matches the overall style of the newly finished common areas.
The restaurant and breakfast area is absolutely amazing. Friendly staff and every food item you could possibly wish for to have a good start into the day. The view from the patio is breathtaking.
The beach club belonging to the hotel is a trendy, modern place, serving creative and inspiring dishes. As part of this beach club the hotel has a beach section for its guests, proving comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge.
The staff is very friendly making sure that you are having a good time and that you feel comfortable at all times.

– We absolutely loved the fitness room overlooking the pool and sea, with brand new equipment that is sparkling clean. They even had Sonos speakers in there.
– Breakfast was fantastic. Even though the legendary breakfast buffet was closed due to COVID restrictions, we were able to get a beautiful spread for breakfast each day, with made-to-order eggs, a fruit platter, and fresh juice.
