How many mosques are there in United Arab Emirates?
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Dubai do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

This hotel was breathtakingly beautiful. The service was amazing. I was ill when I arrived and the waiter could see I was feeling cold and bought me a shawl. Made me feel extra special. There was so much variety of food and everything was halal. The room itself was huge and the bathroom was really nice.
The hotel offered a private taxi to get around. And there were some local shops. Dubai city centre was not too far. Sunset on the palm was to die for.
The lounge offers complimentary non-liquor drinks and afternoon tea all day. Liquor can only be consumed within hotel premises by the way. The UAE is a Muslim country and prohibits consuming alcohol in public so bear that in mind.
After some welcome drinks and dropping off our luggage we then headed to the beach and pool area. Dubai and by large the UAE is a hot country. So wear appropriate warm weather attire when visiting.
The accommodation could not be faulted in terms of decor, cleanliness, or facilities, and was overall extremely comfortable.
All the staff were extremely polite, welcoming and friendly. The food in the Flow restaurant was superb, with a huge choice of dishes. I am muslim and require halal food. There was a superb choice of halal food, all well labelled, and with the chefs on hand to advise, and in one case to prepare a special dessert for me.
Special congratulations should be made to both the waiting and the chefs in this restaurant for their friendliness and helpfulness.

I was totally impressed from the moment I arrived at this beautiful hotel. Outside by the fountain, was an array of Porsche’s, Lamberginini’s, Rolls and Jags…what more could tell about the who and what of this hotel?
Inside, the lofty lobby was very discrete with soft colors blending with the dark wood walls. This touch even continued throughout the hotel from the lovely large rooms (some with tea cup bathtubs) to the restaurants and public areas. The main restaurant and bar look out on the artificial lake that in the evening has wonderful water shows, a la Bellagio in Las Vegas. It is of course the same designer who did the water show at Bellagio but this seems somehow more extreme as it is in the middle of the Arabian desert.
The hotel is also attached to the Dubai Mall where there are more than 1000 shops and restaurants. Not that you will need the restaurants, because the Armani has 7 within the hotel.
Everything from a fabulous Italian one to a sushi restaurant, to a pork restaurant with a sign that says “Pork Room – Non-Muslims Only”.I wonder if they check your religious preference at the door?
This our second time in Dubai; previously we stayed at the Ritz Carlton IFC and Park Hyatt in the Dubai Creek area. For a quick stay, Armani Dubai was a great choice. The physical asset of the hotel is beautifully well maintained; it is very hard to beat the panoramic view of the Dubai fountain and linked to the Dubai mall via underground/covered paths. It is very convenient luxurious property situated right in CBD on Sheikh Zayed Road. The furnishings in the rooms are slightly worn but are still nice and comfortable.
If you are a leisure traveler looking to explore Dubai, I would say the hotel location is a little far from the Jumeirah beach area and other popular tourist destinations. For short business stay, this hotel is great!
The Indian restaurant is superb quality… our favorite in the world so far! Also the spa experience was pretty great too!

Location is great, not far from Abu Dhabi Mall and the Corniche Beach, also a walkable distance with many restaurants close to the hotel. Staff are all very kind and helpful.
The room we had was quite spacious and clean. The view wasn’t great but as we were only there for 2 nights this wasn’t a problem. There was a Mosque just around the corner again for us not a problem. There are Mosques everywhere anyway it is a very religious country after all.
The Hotel is about 20 mins from the Abu Dhabi Mall where you can get onto the hop on hop off bus. We used this a lot to get around I do recommend this. The breakfast at the Jannah was good a nice choice of halal food.

There’s a bright buffet restaurant, and a casual lobby cafe with lounge seating. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, a gym and gender-segregated saunas.
The hotel caters predominantly for weekend Saudi’s , which puts some pressure on the Islamic weekend days and features a lot of fancy cars and Saudi’s in full gear. Good rooms, open kitchen, well equipped (no wine glasses though, so we bought and left them), big hard mattress bed, good TV. Bathroom is up to standard, small bathtub for grown-ups, but clean and efficient. Great rooftop pool, could be cleaner and made more entertaining.
Emirates Mall just a conveninent 10min walk and the metro even closer. Close to JBR, Marina and the beach and the Burj Al Arab; still a 15 min cab ride to the Financial District and even longer to Deira (the old centre) and the airport.
All-in-all good value for money, friendly courteous staff, and a clean appearance overall. Ideal for families on holiday, not a business men/women location.
The apartments were easy to find and within walking distance to Mall of Emirates. We were very impressed with the size of our 2 bedroom apartment- 2 large bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, separate guest loo, big kitchen, huge lounge.
Ample space for a family of 4. We all loved the rooftop pool area. Grocery stores and eateries within easy reach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

The + points are: 1) great location-center of business hub and lots of halal eateries around. 2) large clean apartments. 3) noise proof if staying on the sea view side. 4) daily cleaning 5) great kitchen with all utensils.
Firstly the location is excellent. Situated in downtown Dubai in the financial district, you could not ask for anything better. The metro station is just 3-4 minutes by foot and finding taxis is no problem at all as well.
They are always available and the staff is always willing to help if you want a particular kind of car. It is surrounded by eateries, the likes of KFC,McDonald’s, Costa’s, Tim Hortons etc. All this really comes in handy if you’re travelling with kids.
They also have one of my most favourite mini markets nearby,ZOOM. As well as a whole lot of pharmacies and other things. At the lobby level you will find Cafe Bateel where you can enjoy free breakfast if you’ve paid for that package and Piccolo Mondo next door as well.
Check in was very speedy. We did not have to wait for tons of time. By the time we were done with the welcome dates and Arabic gahwa we were headed to our suite.
Our suite was a two bedroom one and it faced Shaykh Zayed road and oh what a view! It was extremely spacious and well lighted with all the amenities that we could ask for. Anybody travelling with kids will find the Ascott to be a huge plus. The beds and pillows were super comfy!
I really loved my stay at the Ascott,in fact the whole family did. Thanks to them we now know how to get around Dubai Mall! It is so close to them we went there every single day. Thank you Ascott, we look forward to visiting again!
