Halal Hotels Granada
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Spain do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

The hotel is a 5 min walk from the train station. Reaching the historical centre of Cordoba, where there’s the Mesquita and the cobweb of narrow roads with souvenir shops and restaurants, is quite easy on foot….a pleasant 10 minute walk away. The hotel is basic, not luxurious, but does a pretty good job at comfort and cleanliness.

Hotel Casa 1800 Granada is a charming hotel located in a fully restored XVI century historical building, the building is known as Casa de los Migueletes and served as the headquarters of the militia at the time. The hotel is decorated with chandeliers, frescos, cupolas and luxurious furnishings, always in keeping with the noble wood of the building whilst highlighting the Classicist and Mudejar elements of the original house.
The rooms are elegant and cozy, some enjoy views of the Alhambra, inner courtyards, coffered ceilings and offer all kinds of amenities.
The common area is also an open area – they have retractable roof on top, where you can have your breakfast which is served from 8am. They also served complimentary afternoon tea from 5.30pm onwards, which is much welcomed.
The room is nice and cosy with good set up and nice furniture. The wifi is good. AC is cold. The toilet is good – mine had a bathtub and comes with complete toiletries. Opening the window will reveal some portion of the AL Hambra, but more of the roofs and balconies of other property nearby. I guess due to the locality and building environment within this ancient area, this is a norm. The hotel also provides coffee making facility in the room, but coffee and cold drinks are available at the common area.
Although it is a little pricey, I think it is worth it considering the location which is nearby to Alhambra, there are also plenty of restaurants nearby, inclusive Halal kebab restaurants. Walking distance to the Cathedral, shopping areas and bazaars.
If you already booked a ticket into ALHambra, it will costs about EU 10 from Plaza Nueva ( near Pisas street ) to ALHambra entrance. If you are adventurous you can also walk up to Alhambra though the park.
Alhambra palace not to be missed. Be prepared to walk if you want to enjoy Granada “Bazaar/market”. Be prepared to haggle as prices fluctuate quite a bit…
Nice restaurants nearby including “Halal“restaurants. Good quality food and not too expensive.
Breakfast best to have it from outside the restaurant – economical and more choice.
Firstly it is within walking distance to Granada’s shopping district and it is also located at the foot of Alhambra.
Our diet is halal food and I must say that searching for halal food near this hotel is very easy. Most of the halal restaurants and teterias are located within a 10 minutes walk, the nearest being a minute walk away.
Casa 1800 is very well located – within 15 minutes walk of the Alhambra, situated in the charming Muslim district of narrow cobblestone streets and steep hills, loads of tapas restaurants and bars.
The fantastic Hammam Al Andalus is a three minute walk away, and the Cathedral is ten minutes away. Again, perfect location.
