Halal Hotels Incheon
The Muslim community is centered in Seoul and there are a few mosques around the country. According to the Korea Muslim Federation, there are about 100,000 Muslims living in South Korea, and about 70 to 80 percent are foreigners.
By Crescent Rating, South Korea is 54th rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.
How many mosques are there in South Korea?
Due to the presence of Seoul mosque, the Itaewon district consists of many halal restaurants and grocery stores.
Today there are also mosques in Busan, Anyang, Gyeonggi, Gwangju, Jeonju, Daegu and Kaesong.
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Incheon do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

The traditional style Korean room has a wooden bath tub and a toilet that is just short of rocket science. A comfortable bed on the floor, underfloor heated wooded floors and a free mini-bar. Almost instantaneous free WiFi. We were given the room tour by the person on reception and he explained everything. Breakfast was very different for us with many strange things on offer, but the whole experience was amazing.
The hotel is right next to Songdo Central Park which is well worth a walk around. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This place is beautiful. One of the nicest city hotels I have ever been to. Modern yet traditional style room, beautiful courtyards, kind of quaint, strolling trails, restaurants and coffee shops nearby (in the same style). Great tub. Free mini-bar (I assume this would change if the hotel gets more popular) Quick taxi ride to the airport. I would make a detour to go again for a night before after getting to ICN.
The room is very clean, especially the wooden floor keep your feet touching so nicely. The bed is big, soft and cosy. All stuffs in the minibar are 100% free.
The breakfast is great to have traditional Korea style mixing with western breakfast. The environment of restaurant is pretty quiet.
Stepping out the hotel, 5 minutes walk to the right side is a subway station to Incheon airport, the left side walking 7-10 minutes is a Lotte Mart. Turning to the back side of the hotel is a big Central Park where you can see modern buildings in the opposite side.
Take a sunbath walking on this park is perfect.
Some shopping malls can be reached in 2-3 km by walk or by subway system. This hotel is really nice and the price is fair.

2. Sheraton Grand Incheon Hotel 5* – Muslim Friendly Hotels Incheon South Korea
The 5-star Sheraton Grand Incheon Hotel features luxurious rooms in Songdo-Incheon. Boasting an indoor pool, fitness centre and spa, the non-smoking hotel has two restaurants, a lobby lounge and a bar.

Equipped with a flat-screen TV, the air-conditioned rooms feature carpeted flooring and full length windows. Rooms at this non-smoking hotel also include a spacious bathroom with separate bathtub and rainforest shower.
In a modern glass building across the street from Central Park Songdo, this polished hotel is 11 minutes’ walk from a metro station and 3 minutes’ walk from the Northeast Asia Trade Tower.
The bright rooms come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus tea and coffeemaking equipment. Upgraded rooms add park views, as well as access to a private lounge that offers breakfast at no cost. Suites add living areas. Room service is offered 24/7.
Breakfast is available for a fee. Other amenities include 2 restaurants and 2 lobby bars, as well as an indoor pool, a 24-hour gym and a luxe spa.
Although the hotel is not close to ICN, transportation T/F the airport is quite convenient. Taxi costs about KRW 40,000 and takes 1/2 hr. Scheduled shuttle bus operated by Korean Airlines charges KRW 7,000 per person but takes 1 hr to reach the hotel due to multiple stops.
I got a room upgrade to an Executive Suite with the beautiful park view. The staff in the executive lounge are all extremely helpful and friendly. I would like thank them all.
The room is well appointed and adequately sized. The bathroom is a decent size with separate tub and shower. Amenities were decent.
The area around the hotel is an urban wasteland. Although this area of Incheon is exceptionally built up, there is really nothing to see or do within walking distance of the hotel.
There are multiple restaurants, but these were all closed at 4pm. There is a “central park” across the street, but it feels artificial and lacks amenities. I certainly would not view this as a “destination hotel.”

Grand Hyatt Incheon offers recreational facilities such as a cutting edge fitness centre, sauna and an indoor swimming pool connected to the wildflower garden.
There are many hotels around ICN airport but I chose Hyatt instead and glad I did. The hotel is just 5 minutes away and provide free shuttle. The room furnishings is kinda old but spacious and has everything you need. Staff is friendly and fast check in/out. I did try their breakfast and lunch and the menu is superb and lots of choices (I am vegetarian if travelling due to difficulty to get halal food therefore the pics shows only vege however they have various spread).
The concierge has a touring desk as well which I opted for half day city tour to kill the time. Highly recommended and will stay longer next time.
The location was slightly away from Seoul itself but there’s so many ways to get to the city via the airport which is located next to the hotel.
There’s a few restaurants around the area. Did not try any of the restaurants in the hotel itself because I wasn’t sure if it’s Muslim friendly.
I think the hotel is perfect for a quick stopover. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if your trip involves exploring Seoul. It’s at least an hour’s taxi ride away from downtown Seoul.
There is also the AREX (airport express train) which takes you to Seoul station within 45 minutes.
