1. Petra Marriott Hotel 5* – Halal Hotels Jordan

Petra Marriott Hotel

Offering outdoor pool and a restaurant, Marriott Petra Hotel is located in Wadi Musa. Free Wi-Fi access is available in public areas.

Rooms here will provide you with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a minibar. Featuring a shower, private bathrooms also come with a hairdryer and a bathrobe. Some rooms have a mountain view. Extras include a seating area and cable channels.

At Marriott Petra Hotel you will find a buffet and a la carte restaurant. Other services offered include meeting facilities, luggage storage and shops on site.

Surrounded by the Petra mountains, this modern hotel is 6 km from the carved rock Al-Khazneh temple and Siq, the iconic entrance to the ancient city of Petra.

The contemporary rooms feature flat-screen TVs, minibars, iPhone docks, and tea and coffeemakers; most have valley or mountain views. The suites add separate living areas. Wi-Fi is offered (fee). Room service is available 24/7.

There are 2 restaurants, and a tent experience with traditional Bedouin dishes and music. There’s also a sauna, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a stylish bar and lounge with panoramic mountain views. Massages are offered in a spa with a steam room.

Petra is an ancient city that once was considered to be a myth, hidden for centuries from prying eyes. The Petra Marriott Hotel is conveniently located on a steep sloping site overlooking the dramatic and picturesque Petra Valley. Concealed within the quite magnificent mountains in the red rose desert, Petra is one of Jordan’s national treasures and by far its best known tourist attraction. Petra, the world wonder, is a magnificent city and there is nothing in the world resembles it.

Although much has been written about Petra, nothing really prepares you for this amazing place. It has to be seen to be believed.

The property overlooks Petra, so it has a stunning view, but the nearest town is not within walking distance. The entrance to Petra is approximately a ten minute drive.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. They speak English very well and are eager to assist. The room I had was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the room looked a bit worn.

The bathroom was clean; however, it did smell of mildew. The room comes with two bottles of water compliments of the hotel. The TV had some English and non-English channels.

The breakfast buffet offered traditional Muslim fare as well as western/American usuals (Sorry, no pork bacon. Just beef bacon). The bar offers small plates that’s also well priced and the service is excellent.

The building itself looks clean and nice–the rooms are attractive–and there is a provision for prayer space for Muslims.

The service was great, the view is breathtaking and you can enjoy sitting near the slope and have panoramic views of the Petra mountain ranges. I recommend staying here if you want to experience a unique Bedouin culture and cuisine at Al Matl Tent. We enjoyed authentic Bedouin drinks, traditional dishes, and Jordanian music.

The Bedouin food is absolutely delicious. The trunk room is a unique experience as well. Everyone was helpful and provided us with the best service. The staff was very interested in our needs.

First, the location is fabulous. Sure it’s not steps away from the Petra attractions, but it’s high up and provides an amazing view of the area. We were there two nights, and had two amazing sunsets to take in.

We felt the service was fabulous. We do pretty much exclusively stay at Marriotts, so we do have status, and that could have something to do with it, but I get the sense that the staff is generally lovely with everyone.

The food was good. The breakfast and dinner buffets have a large variety.

Highly recommend the doing dinner and hookah in the bedouin tent one night. The drinks and snacks at the bar were fairly priced (comparable to other hotels or even a bit less).

Our room was large, uncluttered and decorated in green and grey but was somewhat austere. There was a separate toilet to the bathroom which had a rain shower and good Trinitae (dead sea minerals) toiletries. The hotel is in a new developing area of Amman and is connected to the Boulevard and Abdali Mall. To see the Citadel, Roman theatre, souk and King Abdullah Mosque a taxi is needed – definitely not walkable (Amman is very spread out). We found the area rather quiet but as it was Ramadan while we were visiting this probably had a lot to do with it (most places came alive after dusk but were very quiet during the day while Muslims were fasting).

The breakfast buffet in their 360 Restaurant was great with very attentive staff and so many choices – eggs cooked to order too.

The lobby already says it all, it’s modern, spacious, impressive, feels luxurious and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The room is spacious and I loved the view, breakfast is high quality and has a huge selection, one of the best breakfasts I have had around the world.

The spa/gym is smallish but does it’s job. After staying in six different hotels in Amman, this would be my definite first choice also next time and has given me a great impression on what Rotana has to offer.

The hotel is sleek, classy and modern and ticks all the right boxes: a beautiful, spacious, clean and extremely quiet room with a great view and lovely bathtub, friendly and efficient service, and relatively good location (we were able to walk over to W for brunch, but otherwise we Übered). We also enjoyed the lounge, which had high-quality food and good drinks with, again, a very nice view.

Would recommend for both couples and business, and would most definitely stay again.

The design is ultra modern and very high tec. Needless to say it is spotless and the room was fabulous with incredible views over Amman.
Notwithstanding the foregoing what makes this hotel memorable for me was the staff.

They are simply wonderful. They are extremely helpful and pleasant. Nothing is a trouble. If you are coming to Amman I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

I loved my stay at the rotana tower hotel , hotel is really nice and fancy , staff are friendly, the room is very spacious ( premium double room -high floor ) floor to ceiling windows with an amazing view over Amman city , sunrise and sunset were beautiful to watch by just laying on the bed . The the bathroom is wow!

“Loved the location just two steps from Amman boulevard , which is one of the nicest area in Amman with shops and restaurants and events.

The rooms are spacious and well laid out with all the amenities you need, the staff are always available to meet your needs should you require any extras! Room service is fast, polite and professional.

We had access to the Club lounge- if you have the choice I would highly recommend opting for it! The standard of service there is beyond impressive! The staff take the time to learn your names and are quick to memorise your preferences- making it feel as though it is a home away from home!

4. Ma’in Hot Springs 5*– Halal Hotels Jordan

Ma'in Hot Springs

This oasis-style resort offers an outdoor pool and a spa situated directly under a hot spring waterfall. Surrounded by mountains, the Ma’In Hot Springs is only 30 minutes’ drive from the Dead Sea.

The hotel has 2 restaurants & 2 bars , including The Olive restaurant offers the traditional Zarb meal setting in our Bedouin tent. Guests can enjoy wine and cheese tastings in The Cellar. Private candle-lit dinners can also be arranged.

The spacious rooms at Ma’In Hot Springs are decorated in a contemporary style and include a balcony with views over the mountains or the valley. Some of our suites are overlooking the waterfall and our thermal pool, All feature a 32” flat-screen TV , hairdryer, Working Desk; Safety Deposit Box; minibar.

a’In Hot Springs Resort & Spa is located 30 kilometres from the ‘mosaic’ city of Madaba and right of the corner of the Dead Sea. It is a scenic 60 minute drive from Amman Queen Alia International Airport (AMM). Lying 264 meters below sea level in a spectacular mountain landscape, Ma’In Hot Springs Resort & Spa is close by to the south-east corner of the Dead Sea and a leisurely drive to historic Madaba. It combines locally-inspired architecture and ambience with family friendly services, facilities and attention to detail.

Set like an oasis in the dramatic terrain, the location is easily accessible and defines the resort and spa experience in the Middle East – making it a destination of choice for those seeking the perfect retreat to relax and be pampered whilst enjoying the therapeutic benefits of Ma’In hot spring waterfalls.

It was meant to be high season when we booked through the Booking.com, and got a discount due to our length of stay. As the resort was at very low capacity for most of our stay, it felt very exclusive to have the pool, spa, gym, and restaurant to ourselves, perfect for us. In my opinion, not worth the rate, even with a discount, after seeing they had an offer on their Fb page, for much less than what we paid! Tip: Look out for offers on their website, and facebook page. Also note, their weekend is Thurs-Sat, and spa was busy with families!

Rooms: Ours was spacious, comfortable, and facing the mountains. Fantastic view, great for sunbathing later in the day! Bathroom was massive. Only problem was the aircon was noisy, and not temp controlled. Always switched it off at night to get a decent sleep. Also, soap was not replaced daily for sink and shower. Tip: Mountain view rooms are adequate, and very comfortable.

Resort: Easy to get around, and plenty to see and do, from waterfalls and trails, day trips, spa treatments, gym or simple relaxation. They even have an outdoor cinema on Thursdays. Tip: Make sure to check out the public spring pools, and waterfalls outside the resort, just follow the signs. A big thank you to Maria one of the restaurant staff who kindly showed us in her free time.

Restaurants: The selection at breakfast was somewhat limited, and mainly catered for Middle Eastern audience. The ‘In the springs’ restaurant which had themed nights was closed, on some nights, due to low capacity, however the one night we had buffet, was Indian food, which was very tasty.

The food and cocktails at the ‘Brown bar’ were great, notably the Mezza. They grow their own olives, fruit and veg on the grounds. Also there is ‘Panorama’ restaurant which is off site, a free shuttle bus takes you there and back, has a stunning view of the dead sea, and is in fact cheaper, more authentic, and tastier middle eastern food!

The Zarb at the Olive, only on Thursdays is also worth a visit, they show you how the food is prepared, and cooked. Tip: The food at the Panorama restaurant is an absolute MUST! Try getting the shuttle earlier than the scheduled 6pm, just to take in the stunning views for longer!

Spa/springs: Had the best Oriental fusion massage by Shireen. The spa has a free shuttle bus, and is free to use, upon having a treatment, or you pay a fee.

The cave sauna is a must, and the surroundings were very tranquil and relaxing. There is also a free spring waterfall behind, that’s smaller, and not as hot as the springs in the spa. Tip: Make sure to book in a massage, absolutely well worth it. Regret not booking in for 90 mins!

Staff: The customer service, was exceptional. The director of food and beverage Fadi was most helpful to us during our stay, and nothing was too much trouble.

DEAD SEA
30 minute drive away, entrance to dead sea resorts ranges 15-50 JD (15-50 GBPs)

POOL
Very luxurious, right underneath another hot spring waterfall. But not heated and bear in mind these are mountains with changing weather.

5. Petra Bubble Luxotel 5* – Halal Resorts Jordan

Petra Bubble Luxotel

Located in the heart of Little Petra Triclinium in Wadi Musa, Petra Bubble Luxotel features accommodation with access to a hot tub.

A fridge is also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. All the suites have a private hot tub with a private terrace .

A buffet breakfast is served every morning at the property. Dinner is also provided.

Set on a desert plain flanked by mountains, this quirky hotel is 7 km from Highway 35 and 11 km from Petra, an ancient city carved from rock.

The casual bubble-shaped permanent tents offer hot tubs, decks and mountain views. All provide minibars, Wi-Fi access, en suite bathrooms, and tea and coffee making facilities.

Complimentary perks include breakfast, dinner and an area shuttle.

Petra Bubble Suite located in a dramatic setting of breathtaking view of Petra Mountains. Each Bubble Suite with Private Outdoor Hot Tubs. Your own piece of Petra Mountains view. Overnight stay together with breakfast and dinner included. Free shuttle service to Petra.

We’ve been wanting to visit this place for a while, and I must say it really exceeded our expectations.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The bubbles are very well maintained, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the jacuzzi was a game changer.

There are many bubble camps and hotels in Jordan, but this one was for sure the best we’ve ever stayed at or heard of.

The best experience from this visit was sleeping in your own private bubble under the stars. You literally wake up during the night just to check out the amazing view right from the comfort of your bed.

The jacuzzi was also an extreme plus. This is the only bubble hotel in Jordan that offers a jacuzzi which really makes your trip. The water is heated so you can actually spend the evenings hanging out in the jacuzzi and looking up at the stars.

Since you are so close to the historic sites of Petra, we strongly advise you visit Petra by Night, which can be arranged at the front desk. If you don’t have a car, they even offer a shuttle bus.

Lastly, everything at this place was so well organized. Dinner is served right before the trip to Petra by Night, to make sure that you get to enjoy the sunset from you bubble, and then visit the historic sites of Petra.

Since we were trying to social distance during our trip, the staff were very accommodating and actually arranged to have our dinner and breakfast delivered to the room, which was very nice of them.

If you are considering spending the night in Petra, I strongly recommend that you consider this accommodation option.

If you prefer spending the night in Wadi Rum, then make sure to check out the other facility operated by the same owner; Wadi Rum Bubble Luxotel.

The ‘resort’ is located approximately 15 minutes away from the main entrance to Petra. The bubbles offer a nice amount of solitude and peace away from the crowds of Wadi Musa town. The accommodation is nicely appointed with all of the mod cons you would expect from a hotel room. Here you will be stunned by the beautiful clear skies at night (star gazing is phenomenal) and remarkable sunsets. The chance to enjoy the relaxing hot tubs after a long day of hiking in Petra is perfect. The contrast between the futuristic & surreal bubbles with the desert environment is something that will stay with you for a long time.

During your stay at the bubble, you will be impressed by the selection of food available in the included breakfast and dinner buffets. My wife and I both do not eat meat but we found that there were plenty of options available for us with the included meals.

The food is high quality and made fresh daily, with changing menus. The chef seems to take a lot of pride in the satisfaction of the guests as he was greeting the guests and ensuring that everyone was happy. Generally speaking most of the staff here were very friendly and worked to make sure that the guests had an enjoyable stay.

We would certainly love to stay at the Bubble Luxotel Petra again! It was a fantastic experience for us.
