Halal Hotels Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia is a country whose most professed religion is Islam. As of 2013, there were approximately 19.5 million Muslim adherents, or 61.3% of the population

By Crescent Rating, Malaysia is 1st rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.

How many mosques are there in Malaysia

The total number of mosques in Malaysia at present is around 6,077 which were based on the data obtained from Department of Islamic Development (JAKIM) website. On the average, about ninety two percent (92%) of mosques in each state of Malaysia falls under the category of qaryah mosques.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Malaysia do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Great hotel, really great AC system which keeps the room really cool and cold! Great bed! I found it really strange though that bacon wasnt available none of the 4 breakfasts I had at the hotel. The fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice surprise, because most hotels go with their fake concentrate juices.

There wasn’t enough western food at breakfast in my opinion which consisted mostly of asian, muslim and indian breakfast. You should have dragon fruit available as well in the fruit section!

The Makan Restaurant buffet breakfasts were outstanding, with robust Western, Malay, Indian, Chinese, and other options. The hotel and restaurant staff are pleasant and seem genuinely happy to be there.

The staff is friendly and service minded. Clean and quiet rooms (23rd floor) with good AC. The lobby is in a shopping mall. The shopping mall is AC cooled and has a few restaurants and a great supermarket. They even have a “non halal” restaurant at the ground floor.

The location is very central within walking distance to the famous KLCC and the twin towers with the famous shopping mall. Ampang Park Metro station is also close by. The spacious rooms are well furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. For those who love sports, there is a gym and a swimming pool. The powerful Wi-Fi system is a bonus. The breakfast was unique in that there were 3 sections a Chinese, Indian and Malay with each serving its own varieties of food.

The Executive lounge served breakfast and dinner in addition to the presence of beverages tea and coffee from early morning hours till 10 pm. The personality of the staff was the main attraction in our stay. They were very helpful and with a large smile.

The room was large, had a fantastic shower, comfortable bed and otherwise all amenities one might need. Room was well maintained and clean as could be.
The pool in the hotel is well situated, large albeit a bit cold.

When enjoying the weather and the pool, it started raining so we opted to use the gym instead. Wide choice of machines that are well maintained. Free weights and yoga mats available too, not common in larger hotels!

Always attentive to our guests’ comfort, the hotel also offers shuttle service to key areas such as KLCC, Pavilion Shopping Mall, Lot 10, Starhill Gallery and Fahrenheit 88.

Firstly, the Chinese restaurant on the first floor (which you can access via the staircase) is halal/pork-free. Muslims can dine there and the wifi is free. There are shuttles to several locations.

The rooms were spotless and the breakfast top quality and a great choice (no bacon but this is a Muslim country).
We will definitely return to this hotel if and when we revisit Kuala Lumpur.

A very nice hotel, we would be very comforatble recommending andstaying at again. Facilities were excelllent, well located in the heart of the city and well spaced and comfortable rooms.

Upon arrival we were swiftly checked in and a request for room change was very quickly accommodated. Breakfast was vast and whilst its a very busy hotel, staff were always available and very courteous.

Excellent prayer room facilities for Muslims within the hotel itself on level B1, but no local mosque was located.

Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, the beds were sleep-inducing. It was obviously dated but very clean so no complaints here. They provide a complimentary fruit basket( local fruits) and toiletries. In-room wifi was free. I could stay in the bathroom forever as it was superbly clean.

The pool was nice and cool and lemon water would be provided automatically. Breakfast buffet was good though there were lack of pork dishes (prob because there are a lot of Muslims), so no bacon. The dimsum were the best for me 🙂

Location-wise, walking distance to twin towers and KL tower. Outside the hotel, there’s a lot of bars for night life.

Check-in and out was fast. They also make sure that everything you need is in order.

Would definitely recommend and come back :).

Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur offers free shuttle buggies to Suria KLCC Shopping Mall. It is about 46 km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Royal Selangor Golf Club and Pavilion Mall are within 1.5 km of the hotel.

The spacious rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the cityscape. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen cable TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Providing direct access to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, this upmarket high-rise hotel is 1 km from the Petronas Twin Towers and 3 km from Merdeka Square.

Polished rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and city views, as well as minibars, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Select rooms provide access to a club lounge. Suites add separate living rooms. Room service is available 24/7.

A free local shuttle is available. There are 2 chic restaurants, as well as a rooftop infinity pool with a poolside bar. Other amenities include a fitness centre, and a spa with a sauna and a steam bath, along with meeting rooms and a business center.

We stayed in a deluxe tower view room and it was amazing waking up to the view of the buildings. The room is nice and large with great decor according to modern standards. Nice big bathrooms with both tub and shower. If you prefer a quiet room don’t stay on a high floor as you will heat the noise from the SkyBar on 33rd. Despite staying at the hotel on weekdays there was loud music until 1 am on two occasions.

The breakfast buffet offers a wide range of possibilities with eggs, vegetables, bread, dairy products, Muslim preferences and even vegan preferences. Room service is nice and quick on both occasions we used it. Great food quality but the breakfast room itself is chaos. We had breakfast at three different times at it seemed equally chaotic at all times.

Prices at the hotel are reasonable compared to local standards when it comes to the food and room service charges.

The room itself was very modern and spacious. The bed was the best we had ever slept on. The electrical sockets in the room cater for all types of plug, so you don’t need to bring your own adaptors. The bathroom was very clean with all mod cons apart from a hair dryer. The mini bar was a little expensive so we avoided using it, but on a more positive note, the safe in the room was free and so was the wifi.
The dining room for breakfast catered for all nationalities, but as it’s a mainly a muslim country, the bacon was substituted with beef rashers and the sausages were actually chicken.

Both of which tasted very nice though. It’s advisable to be in the restaurant for breakfast before 10am as the staff clear all the food away at 1030am precisely.

The breakfast buffet has a variety of cuisines. If you’re a Muslim, they serve Halal foods, they also have nasi lemak, chinese, bread station, different juices, japanese counter, salad station.

Breakfasts in Mosaic are comprehensive and you would find something there to please even the most fussy of eaters, however being within a mostly Muslim community where many restaurants are Halal, bacon/pork was absent from the varied menu, but a small consideration for an otherwise extensive variety of breakfast foods on offer …. cereals, juices, breads, eggs to order, Indian, Malaysian, coffee, teas etc.

Lunches and evening cocktails in the Club lounge were more than adequate with a variety of foods on offer … some of their sweet delicacies were downright dangerously delicious.

5 stars facility, high class interior. We have a welcome drink, it’s sparkling tapping tapir, which is very nice and also halal for muslim.

The room is very clean, big and very comfortable. I’m very surprised and happy because they have sajadah for muslim pray.

Check-in was a breeze and we were assigned an upper level room. The room is quite large, measures at least 30 ft X 15 ft which includes a sizeable bathroom with both bathtub and a separate shower booth. The toilet seat is located in a small enclosure within the bathroom without a door.

The room has a view of KLCC Park down below and open city view. From 9:30 to 10:00 p.m. each evening, there is a music light show at the man-made lake at KLCC Park visible from the hotel room.

There is a small fridge stocked with the usual beverages including beer, and a safety deposit box. The aircon was quiet and the interior was clean and smart.

Breakfast is served at the ground level restaurant and, as is usual in that part of the world, there are different counters serving Muslim, Chinese, Indian & international style breakfast, the best was the fruit selection, fresh and tasty.

Pork eaters should be aware that pork is not served in the restaurants, so basically no bacon. Chicken meat is usually used as substitute for pork. Coffee was nice and served hot. The breakfast food quality is generally OK but since I did not try too many varieties, I can only say that what I ate was fine.

The room was very quiet, could not hear any noise from the adjoining rooms.
The hotel can access Suria KLCC Mall via an open air but covered passage, literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel lobby.

Inside the mall are numerous well known and not so well known shops including a large Isetan Japanese supermarket. The famous Madam Kwan’s Restaurant is on level 4 of the mall, it is well worth a visit.
