According to the 1991 census recorded by Instituto Nacional de Estatística (the National Statistical Institute of Portugal), there were 9,134 Muslims in Portugal, about 0.1% of the total population. The Muslim population in 2019 was approximately 65,000 people.
By Crescent Rating, Portugal is 82nd rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.
How many mosques are there in Portugal?
There is no unmodified ancient mosque left in Portugal, the best preserved example being Mértola’s modified former mosque (turned into a church in the 12th century) and a few more structures in the South of the country.
The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Lisbon do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Great hotel. Super breakfast and fantastic staff(Bruno one of best).

Good for muslim travelers. They serve halal breakfast.hotel parking available but 9€ per night.

Hotel is not far from city centre, many restaurants nearby and also a few halal ones under a 5 minute walk from the Hotel.

The room was a bit smaller as expected but had everything as expected. Room was cleaned every day with no problems, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds not the comfiest. View from balcony was good.

The hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from the historic center but very close to the metro station and bus stops. We took Uber from the Lisbon airport to the hotel (7 euro).
Breakfast was excellent just the right amount of bread, pastries, ham, cheese, and fruits. The hotel was very modern and the staffs were very friendly.
The room and the bathroom were little small but were well designed and equipped. It seemed like a new hotel.

Lots of restaurants and stores nearby the hotel including our favorite grocery store Lidl. We passed a coin laundry shop next door to the hotel on our way to Lidl.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Lovely hotel fantastic location, reception staff very friendly. Breakfast typical continental lovely coffee and selection of fruit breads and pastries. Our room was beautiful picture perfect views. Bathrobes and slippers with lovely toiletries molton brown. The management helped celebrate special occasion with bottle of champagne in our room. A huge thankful much appreciated.
Perfect for couples meeting in bar enjoyed complimentary port and coffee. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
The rooms are of a good size so there is plenty of space. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Friendly and generous with help as required. We found the room to be very quiet.
There are large doors that can be opened which is nice during the day but at night with these closed no noise. Great sleep. I note they will even change your mattress if it is not to your liking. (Wonder how many take them up on that!)
Breakfast is more than adequate. A large selection of cereals, bread, pastries, and fruit. The cooked breakfast range is a little limited but that was no concern to us. Seldom have the cooked breakfast.
They do not have an evening restaurant but plenty within easy walking distance. They do have light meals for room service if you wish a snack and stay in. The location is perfect. An easy walk downtown. Highly recommend as a place to stay.

15 mins from the airport, relatively central location with some coworking spaces nearby, nice small gym. Loved the breakfast! Not the usual cheap or cold stuff, but they bring things to the table for you and you can specify what you like. Only a sauna is missing.

Beautiful hotel, best breakfast I’ve ever known in Lisbon and yet this was not my first time staying at a hotel facility in the city. Very accommodating staff, great hospitality.

Everything was super-super fantastic!

Everybody was really kind and helpful, they cleaned the room every day, the room was well-equipped (coffee-machine 😍), the air conditioner worked perfectly, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, healthy and various. We enjoyed very much our staying there.
