Halal Hotels Malaysia

Malaysia is a country whose most professed religion is Islam. As of 2013, there were approximately 19.5 million Muslim adherents, or 61.3% of the population

By Crescent Rating, Malaysia is 1st rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.

How many mosques are there in Malaysia

The total number of mosques in Malaysia at present is around 6,077 which were based on the data obtained from Department of Islamic Development (JAKIM) website. On the average, about ninety two percent (92%) of mosques in each state of Malaysia falls under the category of qaryah mosques.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Malaysia do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA

Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA offers elegant accommodation in Sepang. The property boasts 5 dining options, separate male and female swimming pools as well as free WiFi.

Furnished with natural shades, the bright rooms are air-conditioned and fitted with a flat-screen satellite TV. Certain rooms have executive lounge access and the suites have a separate living area. The en suite bathroom includes a rain shower and free toiletries.

Temasya offers all-day dining and fusion dishes, while Bara specialises in barbecue and Middle Eastern food. Moorish-inspired Redup serves exotic beverages and kebabs. Sweets, premium coffee and tea are available at Beranda and Sira.

This hotel is very impressive, with excellent facilities and staff. The roof top pool has female and male sections. Females can use the male side if they wish, but males can not go to the female side. Great for Muslim families. The rooms are large with beautiful bathrooms and large flat screen tv.

Very comfortable beds with great pillows that felt like sleeping on clouds. Prices in the cafe rather expensive and not close to anywhere else for places to eat. Buffett for evening meal was excellent value for money though. Staff in restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located near KLIA Terminal 2 but far from KL City Centre which is the most happening place in KL. However, first timers need to download Grab Cab App for drives to town at 1/3rd price. Much like Uber.

The hotel is very new and therefore the property is in excellent condition. The flip side is that the staff, though new and very friendly, but inexperienced.

The hotel follows the Sharia Muslim Law and hence strictly NO SMOKING and NO ALCOHOL. Taken very seriously…

The rooms are excellent and spacious, much like most 5 Star Hotels and offer one glass wall with a view.

The bath room offers a very good rain shower and bathtub. Standard tea coffee kettle available. Housekeeping will make room on request only.

There is a large size LED with good movie collection.

Buffet breakfast is very nice but watch out for flies! Coffee is not on the house!!

Breakfast is complimentary. There are 2 restaurants, including a casual eatery offering Chinese and Thai cuisine. Other amenities include a coffee shop, a lobby cafe/lounge, and a bar beside an outdoor pool, as well as a kids’ pool and a 24-hour gym.

. Room is just cosy and comfort. For muslim guests, the hotel provides praying facilities such as prayer mat, prayer rob for ladies and sarong for men. Strategic location makes it accessible to various places of interest in Kota Bharu. The breakfast menu changes every day with local foods and delicacies. Highly recommended.

The room is large enough and although I was given a room in 2nd floor with huge window overlooking the parking area and busy road, I was not disturbed by the noises.Room equipped with bathrobe, slippers & other amenities, good hot water and water pressure and astro TV channels (but no Fox movie ).

Bed and pillows (4 pillows plus 2 extras) are comfortable.Praying mat for muslim and iron are provided in room. Room service is fast.

Breakfast buffet spread is standard (taste) with quite a few varieties of local dishes but you can always opt to have local yummy cheap breakfast at Pasar Siti Khadijah (I walked there, about 10 minutes to the hotel). Passer Siti Khadijah also sells batik, clothing etc.

The room was huge, with a big bed, a bathroom with a big bath and also a shower. Amenities: soap, champoo, conditioner, body milk, etc. There was also a coffee-tea set and a couple of water bottles.

Sleepers, robes and even a muslim praying kit was provided. As honeymooners they surprised us with some cakes and a personalized postcard wishing us a good stay, it was incredible and we felt very special.

The hotel has a big pool and a gym with lots of machines for exercising, as well as a jacuzzi but it has different schedules for men and women so we couldn’t go together with my husband.

The location was a bit far from the city center, 15 minutes walking, it’s just near the football stadium and it has food stalls and local restaurants nearby so we had plenty of option to eat and buy things.

The breakfast was tasty and they offer plenty of different options but local and international: omelettes, fruit, salad, pastries, rice, noodles, chicken… you must try roti canai (a typical bread they have) it’s delicious!

A part from the breakfast there are also 3 restaurants at the hotel for lunch and dinner but we prefer to eat outside as it was a bit expensive and we prefer local food. We ordered some drinks to be served at the room and they were fast and efficient.

The staff were super nice and smiling all the time and willing to help us anytime we needed.

The hotel is new and one of the good hotel in Butterworth. We stayed at executive floor , the room is reasonable size and with city view .The swimming pool is also good size.

The location is also near shopping centre, very convenient. The breakfast is good – western/ Chinese/ Malay/ Indian buffet style breakfast , great varieties!

Hotel Location will be an issue if your intent is to spend a lot of time on Penang Island. Long traffic delays on the bridge morning and evening, plus a busy Ferry during the working week will limit speedy access to and from the Island.

Good welcome with free cocktail (halal for muslim), such helpful staff. I love the lobby it looks like a huge ballroom with huge chandelier. The staff upgraded my room so i can watch the view of the city from high level and it was fascinating.
