Halal Hotels Rome

According to a 2016 Pew Research Center projection and Brookings, there are 1,400,000 Muslims in Italy (2.3% of the Italian population), almost one third of Italy’s foreign population (250.000 have acquired Italian citizenship). The majority of Muslims in Italy are Sunni, with a Shi’ite minority.
By Crescent Rating, Greece is 60th rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.
How many mosques are there in Italy?
There are a total of eight mosques in Italy. While Italy is home to the fourth largest Muslim population in Europe, the number of mosques is minute in comparison to France (which is home to over 2,200 mosques) and the United Kingdom (which is home to over 1,500 mosques).
The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Rome do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

1. Hotel Orlanda 2* – Halal Hotels Rome Italy

Hotel Orlanda

Between Termini Station and the beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Hotel Orlanda offers great-value accommodations in the heart of Rome.

Rooms come with Satellite TV and Wi-Fi. An internet point is also available.

The friendly staff at the front desk can recommend local attractions and assist with ticket booking and tour reservations.

The Orlanda Hotel has great access to public transportation services, and many of the city’s attractions are just a short walk away. Rome’s Opera House (Teatro dell’Opera) is just a 5-minute walk away, and the Colosseum is less than 15 minutes away.

Set on a bustling city street, this unassuming hotel with a stone facade is a 5-minute walk from the Termini metro station, 2 minutes on foot from the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore and 2 km from the iconic Colosseum.

The warm, down-to-earth rooms feature free Wi-Fi, TVs and mini fridges. Family rooms sleep up to 5.

Breakfast is available for a surcharge.

Located downtown, close Termini Station, Colosseum and Foro Romano, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps. Room with bath, shower, hairdryer, tv-sat, phone, safebox. Breakfast included. Wi-fi, internet point, laptop in room on request, all free.
The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Tremini station. When we arrived we could not find the hotel, but then we realized that it was on the 3rd floor so make note of that. Also, the elevator was very small so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. The staff were FANTASTIC, they were so helpful. They provided us with a customized map and advice on what places to see. They told us how to see many sites in one day and AVOID lines. Room was clean. Shower was spacious with good water pressure and temperature control. Breakfast is on the 5th floor– it is limited to croissants, yogurt, meat and cheese. It was good but did not keep us full so we ended up eating out afterwards. Wifi worked very well. Would recommend to people looking to save money and be within walking distance to many major attractions- Trevi Fountain, Colosseum etc.
The staff will tell you what train to take to Vatican City– go early in the morning. The hotel is close to many restaurants so our bellies were always full.
Great location, close to both metro station and the railway station. Ideal if you plan to visit other Italian cities by train. The only thing is that you cannot easily identify the hotel as there are several hotels on the same building. It would be easier if they put a sign indicating the hotel in the street or mention in the booking sites were they are listed that there are other hotels in that building as well.
Inside the rooms are very clean, rooms although small but very comfortable, what I liked most is that they have a small window in the bathroom as well and a place to dry clothes. Breakfast is not rich but very tasty, I liked the classic Italian cappuccino and croissants very much.

The Hotel exceeded my expectations in every dimension. First, the location at the top of the Spanish steps is one of the best possible spots in Rome–reasonable walking distance to many outstanding attractions and adjacent to great shopping and great restaurants.

The view from our first room was of Rome was spectacular. Secondly, the Staff at the Hotel were outstanding, gracious, friendly and extremely attentive. I particularly want to mention the Concierge and his staff were the best I have seen in any hotel and they were practically miracle makers, affording us a unique tour on short notice of one of the most interesting sites in the Vatican.

Beyond this, they were exceptionally helpful and made our stay memorable. Third, the rooms were outstanding, excellent appointments and amenities and the size of the rooms were generous, or first room had a modest balcony and a spectacular view of the Spanish steps and the skyline of Rome.

Our second room did not have much of a view but the room was larger and well designed.

Lastly, we had breakfast every day we stayed at the hotel–very typical european breakfast but the quality and staff were very good. We also had dinner in the Bar one evening and the food was excellent. We regretted not tying the hotels restaurant.

The lobby and decor of the hotel are traditionally elegant. I would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly look forward to a future trip back to the Hassler.

5 min walk to termini metro and abt 7 mins to the main termini station. Love the location!

Hotel does not have a kettle but you can ask for bath salts at no charge! Great got soaking those sore legs after a whole day of walking!

4 to 5 HALAL restaurants around this hotel but they all sell the same things; kebabs, briyani, pizzas, pastas, etc.

Loved this hotel due to reasonable price and facilities available. It is best in the town but value for money. One would not regret it if decides to stay here.

Walk-able distance from Roma Termini. Lots of Halal , Bangladeshi restaurants available along with lots of shopping places near by. Hop n Hop buses are available within 5 minutes walk.

Hotel is very clean, well maintained, modern facility with very friendly staff. I would certainly recommend it.

The room was clean and modern and shower worked very well could not really fault it was more than adequate. View was facing the street so there was slight road noise but was not too bad. Location of the hotel is superb, across the main termini train station with food all around.
Also there were lots of restaurants offering Halal food which was a great benefit. Lots of supermarkets all around so stocking up on snacks and drinks was ideal.

Love the design and detail of it i.e. door and wood and that makes the room look cosy and luxury. Staying in a smoking room and the ventilation is good. The food especially dinner is great and the price is not expensive.

You can also find many food around the hotel. There are also several Halal food shop. The area around the hotel is not bad and the hotel feature looks the best in the area.

The best thing about the hotel is there are about 5 halal eateries in the immediate surrounding area.
