Halal Hotels Seoul

The Muslim community is centered in Seoul and there are a few mosques around the country. According to the Korea Muslim Federation, there are about 100,000 Muslims living in South Korea, and about 70 to 80 percent are foreigners.

By Crescent Rating, South Korea is 54th rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.

How many mosques are there in South Korea

Due to the presence of Seoul mosque, the Itaewon district consists of many halal restaurants and grocery stores.

Today there are also mosques in Busan, Anyang, Gyeonggi, Gwangju, Jeonju, Daegu and Kaesong.

The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Seoul do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Location: good and central, with easy access to metro station (about 5 minutes’ walk). The nearest station is Euljiro 1(il)-ga (Line 2). Even though we did not use it, the KAL airport limousine stops right in front of the hotel.

The Lotte Department Store is just below the hotel, so shopping is a breeze. I also like the food hall there. The hotel is also near underground market where you could find pharmacy and other shops.

Food: Throughout my stay I had my three meals at the club and really enjoyed it. The food selection is adequate, especially the vegetables and fruits. They even have halal dishes for Muslim guests which is unusual. We were confident that the food was halal because it came with halal certificate from the local Muslim authority.

This hotel located at the heart of Seoul. Within comfortable walking distance of tourist and local attraction such as Myeong Dong where you could find various beauty shops (one very reason to come to Seoul) or if you are fond of hawker stall offering varieties of mouthwatering snacks.
This area also for you should you after Halal diet.

This hotel is adjacent to shopping mall (Lotte) and walking distance to business district.

Friendly staff, excellent service, check in and check out time were great.

Good location for shopping and food. The cab fare from Incheon airport should be around 55,000 KRW plus toll charges. Tell the cab driver you are going to Lotte Euljiro.

If you are a Foodies, on the right (coming out from the hotel) across the road is the Myeongdong Nite Market, you can check out the local street food. Lotte Departmental Store and Lotte Duty Free is just next door on the right side of the hotel. Stayed on the club floor.

. The breakfast menu was vast and it included all sorts of food to satisfy any type of taste. We are Muslims so we have to eat Halal food but we had no problem choosing edible items. We tried some eastern veg food and they were all delicious!

The staff are truly friendly and helpful. The room is clean and neat and what I liked the most is that they clean the room without misplacing your stuff. I have the habit of putting things is a specific order ad not once did they misplace anything.

Have many nice restaurants with many variety and actually I loved breakfast there. Many middle eastern travellers like it yet it’s expensive, but seoul itself is an expensive city.

Have many halal restaurants around the hotel Indian and Iranian.

Very nice room modern finishing , n very nice location and close to brand mall and big commercial street ,the pool and spa is nice, all day dining is ok but no to much HALAL food for Muslim.
There’s internet connection all over the hotel.

Even though it is a highly subjective point of view, I can feel the European dignity from the culture of Autograph Collection, whereas I feel the American luxurious comfortness from that of JW Marriott.

This Plaza Seoul, Autograph Collection also has same DNA.
Even though there seems to be no solution in hardware like small size of the rooms (the size of Deluxe Room is 30 sqm and that of Premier Suite is 40 sqm, even without bathtub), the property has wonderful location in the central of Seoul (right in front of Seoul City Hall), fine amenities with Hermes, good qualities of food and top notch services by her staffs with professionalism.

There are many brands of Marriott in the northern part of Seoul. But if I should select one, I would like to recommend this Plaza Seoul, Autograph Collection.

There’s also a great gym that you can go to in the next building over that I would highly recommend. It has a squat rack, benches, heavy dumbbells, and everything else you could want. You can even work on your golf swing there – which I did not, but I was amused that it was present. They also have a Korean style sauna, which I would recommend if you’re a foreigner and are comfortable with nudity.

It’s very relaxing after exercising to use the sauna, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

he location of this hotel cannot be anymore perfect; it is centrally located, close to the Myeongdong shopping area and the subway entrances is right outside of it. We will definitely stay again!

The Soul of Seoul. Relax, reconnect and share memories at our five-star hotel. Situated in the heart of D-Cube City’s sights, shopping, entertainment and offices in southwest Seoul, it boasts iconic views of the capital from its 41st floor lobby, the highest in Korea.
This hotel was in a completely different part of Seoul than I had ever been to previously, The integration of the Sindorim station, the mall and the hotel is pretty seamless and convenient, as you would hardly have to leave this block of development to be entertained.
There is a riverwalk park at the base of the hotel that stretches for miles when it bisects another perpendicular riverwalk and is dotted with random exercise stations, wild flowers, and shade trees.
Breakfast buffet on the 42nd floor was on par with some of the best hotel breakfast buffet I’ve ever had in terms of great view, great space, great food: omelette station with chef, vast selection of pastries/muffins/fruits-not just the milquetoast variety. There were Halal options, Meat options, Roasted Vegetable options, and Salad options. All in all you could create a very healthy breakfast for yourself or a very indulgent one. Gym was spacious with a view.

Tried room service as the beef is halal, as we know all Australian beef is halal and slaughtered according to Islam Muslim requirements, tasted some traditional Korean food, very nice spicy kimchi.

Get a T money card from the reception or concierge desk. Basically this card is the equivalent to a UK oyster card. Is used for traveling the underground or buses at a discounted rate.

Rather then passing Single fares. The good thing about the Korean t money card is that you can use the money you load onto the card not just for the transport, but also for food etc in local shops like 7/11 etc.

Across the street there is a home Mart, this is a big supermarket grocery so you can buy nappies, food, clothes at a cheaper price.

Situated at Itaewon, where it’s easy to find halal food, easy access to public transport to many tourists place, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

We liked the neighborhood both for easy access to halal food e.g. Halal Guys has an outlet here, and the interesting thoroughfare ; somewhat retro and colorful on one side of Itaewon, and on the other, on Hannam Dong, somewhat artsy- think Music Library with 17,000 vinyl records in its collection, on the other side, all within walking distance.
