Halal Hotels Spain
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Spain do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Málaga is a port city on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, known for its high-rise hotels and resorts jutting up from yellow-sand beaches. Looming over that modern skyline are the city’s 2 massive hilltop citadels, the Alcazaba and ruined Gibralfaro, remnants of Moorish rule. The city’s soaring Renaissance cathedral is nicknamed La Manquita (“one-armed lady”) because one of its towers was curiously left unbuilt.

Why You Should Book Alanda Marbella Hotel
Beach is five minute walk away, so are many lovely dining places and bars for those that require a alcoholic drink.
Being on the Marbella golden mile makes for a amazing wining and dining location as well as a clean picturesque beach strip leading to puerto banus.
Outside pool (we had booked the superior pool view room) was quiet and serene. Plenty of sun beds, making it very tranquil.
The pool view block is best to avoid road traffic noise in other block rooms.
Hotel grounds are well kept and enjoyed strolling around after breakfast and there is a nice cafe with terraced area, open throughout day.
Breakfast is delicious varied buffet of high standard as well as buffet dinner ( which we enjoyed as we went half board).
Everything is Halal and plus is the staff is really friendly.
It is an alcohol-free hotel and serves halal meat only so bear this in mind when booking (they don’t mind you bringing it in from the supermarket though).
The pool area is the perfect place to relax and the food at the poolside cafe is good; we ate there twice.
They also have a bar/terrace area, a coffee shop, a gym and a spa.
I would highly recommend this hotel as it was excellent value for money and is much improved since its recent renovation.
The staff are all lovely too.
The location and room quality (house 3) were also in line with expectations.
I was positively surprised by the Halal Food, as this was initially my biggest concern – i really appreciated it.
The rooms have wooden floors, a lovely balcony and specious.
This hotel is perfect for muslims who eat Halal food and the Marbella Mosque is just next door for their prayers.
It has a very nice outdoor pool and also a lovely breakfast.
Breakfast was a lavish spread and on days we had extra early starts we were provided with picnic breakfasts to take with us which was great.
The menu for the evening meal was rather limited although whatever we ordered was fresh, halal and scrumptious!
We really enjoyed this halal hotel and would live to return in the future sometime.
Why You Should NOT Book Alanda Marbella Hotel
Terrible service
We had to take our own suitcases to the suite 3302.
The lady at check in did not even give us indications on where was our suite so we had to wonder around the property dragging our suitcases!!!!
The concierge service is terrible. The suite is clean but close to the elevators we couldn’t sleep because of its noise!
From 1 am to 4 am people come back from night clubbing, then from 5 am, early birds go for their morning workouts on the beach, so there is basically no sleeping time!
The worst is the service, absolutely not a 5 star one! No spa! Minimum breakfast!

Video Review of Costa del Sol Torremolinos Hotel
In a bustling area amid commercial and residential buildings, this relaxed hotel is a 7-minute walk from Playamar, a lively beach, and 15 minutes on foot from La Colina train station.
Unfussy rooms provide free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and safes, as well as mini fridges. Some feature sitting areas and/or balconies. Room service is available.
There are 2 restaurants serving halal and Mediterranean cuisine (1 is on a rooftop terrace with a bar, a shisha area and beach views), along with a casual cafe featuring a patio.
Other amenities include a gym, a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub and sun loungers. Breakfast and parking are available.
Why You Should Book Costa del Sol Torremolinos Hotel
If booking do not expect verandas etc, the Standard room will see you in the basement where it is almost sound proof, you have to stand on a chair just to open the window which is at pavement level.
The decor is black/white and chrome very clean and modern spacious comfortable after you get used to almost dungeon location.
Food : Halal menu for Dinner – almost perfection in its cooking and presentation although would be very restrictive over two weeks.
Breakfast superb and chef will cook as required fresh on request.
Pool area: gorgeous (how the other half live) small but also immaculate.
Staff/Management: Absolutely lovely, all work very hard to maintain expected standards – smiles natural and only too happy to oblige.
The hotel serves halal food which is a huge plus as it’s difficult to find halal/vegetarian food in Europe and the fact that the hotel does not provide alcohol was great as it keeps away the rowdy crowd.
There were some people who brought in their own bottles of wine but were of course civilised so that was absolutely fine and didn’t affect the hotel’s calm atmosphere.
The hotel has a 24 hour gym which is free to use which was a real plus! (other hotels need to start doing this).
The gym was clean and had some treadmills, bikes, smith machine and some free weights.
It’s always difficult finding time to schedule in a workout on holiday and we found late nights were great (we were usually out during the day on excursions and had dinner together during evenings).
There is also an outdoor tent area with shisha and some adorable cats and a small pool area which was great for the kids.
It would be great if there was a separate women’s pool but alas you can’t have everything.
There is also a private jacuzzi available for hire at the cost of €20.
The hotel also provided prayer mats in the rooms together with the usual amenities (safe, fridge, toiletries etc) which was a really nice touch.
I think it’s a great idea to have a “Muslim” friendly hotel (of course the hotel is open to everyone and is truly inclusive) but the small touches like halal food and the prayer mats were incredibly nice and welcoming- especially during a time when Europe is becoming increasingly hostile.
There is also a prayer room in the basement. As a visibly Muslim woman I didn’t feel unwelcome at the hotel.
Being a Halal hotel you will not find alcohol or pork here (alcohol free beer/wine and beef pork available), main reason for me choosing this hotel.

Why You Should NOT Book Costa del Sol Torremolinos Hotel
The receptionist on arrival was not welcoming, barely looked at us. Checked into our room and there were hairs on both of our beds.
Went straight back out to the receptionist who didn’t apologise but arranged for the sheets to be changed.
Toilet seat was also not cleaned properly. Although the breakfast was included in our price we didn’t eat there due to the poor hygiene in the room.
Whilst there is a nice roof terrace this like other areas of the hotel (including our room) could do with a deep clean. Won’t ever stay there again and will not recommend it to others

It’s close to Puerto Banus at around a 10 minute walk which is just the right distance away.
It also has a beautiful view for breakfast on the terrace upstairs.
Lots of nice restaurants and bars in the surrounding area too. Will definitely be going back there very soon.
The hotel is beautiful – gorgeous, spacious rooms with the most fabulous views.
The location is great too, a 15 minute walk to the marina or if you prefer a taxi, it costs less than 5 euros each way.
Having said all this, the hotel’s biggest asset is its staff – Beniamino, Patrik and Therese were the loveliest people – always ready with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.
Why You Should NOT Book Molo 44 Suites Puerto Banus
We have a bathtub outside, what do you expect? Having hot bath?

Why You Should Book NOT Hotel Casa de Indias By Intur
Bad sleeping quality due to noise outside as room faces the plaza and during the day in corridor we can hear noises of people talking constantly, and when people closes the door.

From the moment you enter the reception area the service and friendliness of the staff is exceptional. We had two club rooms and would totally recommend.
Breakfast was fantastic with a great range of food, from 12 noon there is free cava, wine and fruit, nuts, cakes etc til 6pm and then from 6-8pm spirits are also offered with fantastic spread of canapes, cheeses, salami etc.
The club rooms are really spacious, all with a balcony, bath and separate shower. The hotel also has everything from stretching, pilates, yoga, zumba all free classes overlooking the ocean.
The gym also overlooks the ocean so workout with a view and outdoors.
Hotel also has spa, shop, several bars and restaurants and you could literally stay all week and never leave the hotel grounds.
Staff super friendly, professional, helpful and polite.
Perfect hotel for a holiday relaxing in sun.
This hotel is completely cut off from this and had a peaceful atmosphere which wasn’t in any way loutish.
There was a good spread of nationalities (rather than just English).
The architecture and the greenery around the hotel really helped add a touch of class.
The room was lovely (Club Double) and had a clear sea view – maybe not necessary next time as we preferred spending time around the hotel complex. It was 18-20 degrees whilst we were there and it felt surprisingly warm, perfect for sunbathing.
I think Club upgrade is worth it primarily because it gives you access to a really peaceful terrace that almost always had a lounger in the sun and a selection of Balinese beds looking over the sea.
Why You Should NOT Book Dreams Jardin Tropical
The hotel used to be a nice hotel, I have been there around 12 years ago. When I arrived this time I was a little disappointed since the check-in was already a little stressed and we didn’t feel welcome.
The staff is not that kind in the entire resort (except of the ladies on the CLUB breakfast, they are very kind). The staff, for example at the check in, are rude and not paying attention. They talk a lot with their colleagues instead of being fully focussed on their guests.
The hotel looks great, has nice plants and trees and has a good view.
But the staff, the quality of food and the price/value isn’t the best thing. I honestly feel a little ripped and my holidays were great because I had a car and visited a lot of places (el Teide!) around the island.
