Halal Hotels Uzbekistan
Uzbek government statistics estimate the country’s population at 33 million. According to U.S. government estimates, 88 percent of the population is Muslim, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs estimates 93-94 percent of the population is Muslim. Most are Sunni of the Hanafi School.
Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.
Many international hotels in Uzbekistan do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Uzbekistan is a Central Asian nation and former Soviet republic. It’s known for its mosques, mausoleums and other sites linked to the Silk Road, the ancient trade route between China and the Mediterranean. Samarkand, a major city on the route, contains a landmark of Islamic architecture: the Registan, a plaza bordered by 3 ornate, mosaic-covered religious schools dating to the 15th and 17th centuries

Stayed at the hotel as I was part of a tour group visiting Uzbekistan. The hotel was comfortable with a friendly and welcoming staff.
The room was on the first floor off a courtyard and was spacious and comfortable. It was had a large room with a couple of tables, plenty of space and a large bathroom which was nicely away from the sleeping area.
The hotel had a very good breakfast with a wide choice.
The location of the hotel is great, just out the hotel and straight into Lyabi hauz.
The rooms are commodious, well heated and the bathrooms seem like they’ve been refitted recently. All in all, absolutely clean and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is so great – so much variety and the charming hostesses oblige your requests for eggs, coffee etc. Very welcoming reception staff too.
Location wise too, we couldn’t have asked for more. Wifi is good and works everywhere in the premises. We loved our stay here.
Lovely place, each room comfortable and clean and done up in an Uzbek style. With clean bed linen.
We found the staff extremely helpful and cheerful.
The hotel being a family run place had a cosy feel to it. Breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety. The juice was a little too watered down though.
They are happy to cook the meal also if informed in advance.
The lovely courtyard is a great place to get together and relax in if travelling with friends.
The location is a winner all the way!
Situated on a shopping street where one can spend a very relaxed evening after a day of sightseeing. Some tourist sites are also easily within walking distance. Plenty of coffee shops and eateries.
The shops open quite early and are open till late. There is an excellent Puppet shop next to the hotel that sells the most attractive puppets whilst demonstrating how to use them!

New hotel. clean. nice design in Uzbek style with a lot of gold.
They have swimming pool, not big but it’s enough, also very clean. Missing some place to take sun near swimming pool, to lie down and relax!
The waitress was very King and ask us if we need some towels, or something to drink.
Hotel has atmosphere of Oriental palace and is richly decorated with marble, paintings, velvet, gold and false diamonds. Rooms are big and bright.
Some of them with a bathroom with a bathtub, some – with a shower cabin only. Plenty of towels, free toiletries (liquid soap, shampoo, shower gel), good hairdryer.
Unfortunately, no kettle in the rooms. Free wi-fi (in the lobby and in the rooms). Connectivity was not bad at all everywhere in the premises except of inner yard.
Comfortable beds, good linen. Safety deposit box. Hotel has elevator (not often feature for small hotels in Uzbekistan). Good full breakfast with diverse choice. Bar to have drinks in the evening.
Nice inner yard with green lawns, tables and chairs to relax and small pool, however, I have not noticed sunbeds. Very friendly and effective staff always ready to help. To sum up: we liked our stay at Emir Han and hope to come back one day.
