Halal Hotels Wales

Islam is the largest non-Christian faith in Wales, with about 46,000 adherents recorded in the country in the 2011 Census.
Cardiff is now home to over 11,000 Muslims from many different nationalities and backgrounds, nearly 52 per cent of the Welsh Muslim population.
By Crescent Rating, United Kingdom is 31st rated among most Muslim-friendly countries.
How many mosques are there in Wales
Today, Wales has about 40 mosques, most of which are in Cardiff, with others in Aberystwyth, Bangor, Barry, Haverfordwest, Lampeter, Neath, Newport, Port Talbot, Swansea and Wrexham.
The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food.

Like other tourists, Muslim travelers coming from Islamic countries have particular requirements when they choose the destination for their vacation. Among these requirements, Muslims are concerned about the availability of halal compliant foods (no pork or alcohol in food) and a clean place to pray.

Many international hotels in Wales do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.

Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Looks nice but wanted a traditional break to Wales. On checking with the manager I was told there was no bacon – hence Muslim values and serving Halal meat.
Having been to this area a few times we knew how nice it is but the view from our room was a treat we didn’t expect! Absolutely fantastic. The staff were very warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and had everything you need to relax. Theres tea coffee making facilities a tv with lots of movies on for free, bed was very comfortable and bathroom looks like its just come from a showroom! The breakfast is a 10/10 set it a lovely room with a massive fish tank and lovely Moroccan style lighting, if you have room after the plentiful breakfast i would recommend the pancakes!
There’s plenty of walking right on its doorstep and there’s a nice walk over the toll bridge to a pub, plus your 5 miles from Dolgellau and a little further to Barmouth. To sum up we had a brilliant time in a brilliant place.
Breakfasts are truly amazing and wonderful personal service. The house is stunning with a gorgeous guest lounge and truly amazing views across the estuary.

The breakfasts were excellent as was the service, with a special mention for Sophie, for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Borthwnog Hall is set in beautiful grounds on the edge of a river and is perfectly located for exploring the The Snowdonia National Park, or as we did, walking a section of the Coast Path.

We had originally booked to stay somewhere else in the centre of Dolgellau but they cancelled our booking so we had to find somewhere else. I’m so glad they did because Borthwnog Hall was wonderful.

I think that you will struggle to find a better place to stay in this part of Wales at any price.

The location is so close to plenty of bars and restaurants and our room had a lovely view of the castle. The room itself was smart with an extremely comfy bed.

This property is amazing, clean, the breakfast is delicious, our room was beautiful with amazing views of the Castle, the customer service is impeccable.

The room as you can see was exquisite and had every amenity you could want. Toiletries were high quality as were the towels. The shower is one of the best I have used. The bed was extremely comfortable but you would expect that given the room we were in.

We had lunch in the bar and it like dinner in the evening was exceptional. I now have the restaurant on my radar as a good place to eat with excellent service. Room service was equally as impressive with a piping hot full English delivered to the room.

Location was perfect and the view looked over Cardiff Castle. The lounge is one of the best I have used made so by the staff and quality of food and drink.

The bed was super comfy and the shower was excellent. The room was very spacious and there was an iron, hair dryer and safe.

The check in process was faultless, Jill on reception was very welcoming and an asset to your hotel.

We had a super one night stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel for a luxurious break in beautiful surroundings.

From entering the grounds to leaving is an amazing experience. Beautiful surroundings, foyer, rooms, suites etc and food is out of this world.

Staff are very very kind and helpful. Would honestly say that Clandeboye Lodge Hotel is a stunning and beautiful place of which I would highly recommend.

We opted for the luxury room which includes a Nespresso machine, giant bed, comfy chairs and a spotlessly clean fully tiled bathroom. It was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages and no noise whatsoever.

The only minor downside to the room was that wasps kept getting in even though the windows were closed – possibly a little hole somewhere or a nearby nest – we killed about 8 during the stay. However it was summer and there are lots of trees around so not really unusual to have wasps around about.

There is not a small fridge in the room so you can’t cool the water but not a negative just an observation. No air con in the Rooms but this is completely normal in Northern Ireland where it’s normally freezing.

We had dinner in the Coq and Bull restaurant and it was amazing – squid, steak and cheese board with various wines and whiskeys ? we opted to sit outside and did not regret it, it was a lovely summer evening and not too many midges.

I would say that the outside area could have benefitted from a bit of low music to drown out other people’s conversations but that’s just a minor personal opinion… breakfast was really good as well and could definitely recommend the full Irish.

Hotel rooms exceeded expectation. Very modern with lovely decor, nespresso machine, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was amazing. Nicest I’ve ever had in a hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel.
