Halal Staycation Singapore
While Singapore has begin to open again for certain countries and territories it’s not yet that easy to travel outside Singapore as most of the muslim country as still closed for mass tourism (as Malaysia or Indonesia). A Halal Staycation Singapore is still an excellent weekend getaway option to relax with your family and friends!
For the fourth time running, Singapore has been named the top destination for Muslim travellers among non-Muslim countries. The Global Muslim Travel Index, released on Wednesday (March 23), gave Singapore high scores for its safe travel environment, number of halal dining options.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

Why You Should Book Grand Hyatt Singapore
Why You Should NOT Book Grand Hyatt Singapore
Went with wife & young children for staycation to celebrate wedding anniversary. To be honest, I had a more pleasant experience at Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont and Hilton. Customer service at Grand Hyatt was subpar and buffet was limited.
Was promised a cake but not delivered. I expected, and have experienced, better at other establishments.
Just my two cents worth: was underwhelmed by the experience and will look elsewhere for future staycations.

Very up to date and elegant interior decor and ambience. It was a birthday staycation and they decorated the room beautifully and provided a complimentary birthday cake.
The club benefits were awesome with a full dinner served in room and unlimited drinks via door to door during cocktail hour.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Love the experience. Will be back again.
Convenient location, clean large room, modern colours, has a swimming pool and bathtub in room, food is great and the evening cocktail spread was a pleasant surprise!
The staff remembers your name, they made bonus arrangement for our wedding honeymoon staycation.
The room was clean the staff were friendly very comfortable for me my wife enjoying the stay.
The location was very convenience for us to look for Halal food.
I am very impressed with the cleanliness, ambience and upkeep of this hotel although this building and hotel has been around for many years when I was a teenager.
The staff are all very friendly, helpful, good service and know their job well.
I must mentioned that Aisah whom work in the cafe, she is very hospitable and friendly.
She recommended us a few good dishes for the halal breakfast.
I am very happy with this hotel and have recommended my family and friends to book for their SRV. I will continue to have more staycations.
For those muslim people, there is a halal restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner !
Hotel were clean and bathtub was big clean and cosy ! My partner and I loved the club room so much ! Even our guest loved it.
Why You Should NOT Book PARKROYAL on Beach Road
The initial check-in was a breeze but the staff informed that he gave us an “upgrade” to a family room which consists of a queen bed & a single bed for a couple!
The room 0292 has windows but with frosted stickers thus no view at all. It was awkward and disappointing.
First night 18/07, I experienced a bug crawling on my arm around 3am but I brushed it away. Second day 19/07, my bf killed a lice-like insect on his body. We immediately went to confront reception with the insect’s dead corpse on this matter. We were offered with a complimentary upgrade to a suite room.
This is my first visit to the hotel and the stay was memorable for a notorious reason.

The room has a safety deposit box, and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has a private bathroom with toiletries such as complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste.
Why You Should Book Village Hotel Katong
Excellent hotel for our staycation, or for tourists who would like a place away from the city’s hustle and bustle.
Nothing to complain about the room, area has a relaxed hipster vibe.
The hotel gave a free upgrade to a deluxe room. Room was comfortable and had a king bed.
Staff were friendly. Will definitely choose it again for my next staycation.
Restaurant was very quiet when we went there so lacked atmosphere, although choice of food was good.
The restaurant is Halal so no alcohol, but plenty of bars nearby to have a drink before eating.
Easy access to most places. Food was abundant and nice. Most of all it’s halal certified.
The room is spacious, airy and bright. I could do my regular exercise and stretching very easily.
I did not need to rent the treadmill as I was able cover 10K steps easily just by running / walking around the room whilst making calls or listening to online talks / documentaries.

This hotel will definitely be in my list for staycation and future visits after the pandemic is over.
Well done to the management of Village Hotel Katong and to the staff, keep up the excellent service.
There are 3 options provided for food – Asian, Vegetarian, Western.
All the meals are halal-certified and provided by a central SHN kitchen. I tried the Asian food for the first 5 days – but after getting too much fried food, I decided to change to Western.
I did provide the hotel with regular feedback and suggestions so that the food provided are balanced with healthier dishes such as salads, fruits and little desserts (no processed meat!).
The food really improve greatly and at times, felt like those served in restaurants.
Why You Should NOT Book Village Hotel Katong
The hotel was nice and clean with big rooms (pool was basic and old/small) but what killed it for us was the terrible breakfast.
No bacon, items had been left out for hours without being replaced (such as the cheese ‘selection’) and the chapati next to the cabbage curry was hard and dried out – it was inedible.
My advice is do not pay for breakfast – go over the road to other restaurants and have a much better breakfast for a third of the price.

Entered the room and was greeted with a view of the Sentosa getaway and not only that, there’s a box of chocolates with a HBD card from the team!!!

Why You Should NOT Book Travelodge Harbourfront Singapore
Pros: nice bed, well thought out rooms.
Cons: Drilling, hammering and contractors walking all over the place. this was my main takeaway from staying there.
When we were checking in the reception was having a major argument with the contractors in full view of all guests.
Beds are on wheels, so it’s incredibly dangerous when kids are jumping around

Free parking at Raffles Shopping Centre carpark. A bit inconvenient/far to walk over to the hotel lobby. Location wise is perfect with many eateries. We walk over from the hotel to Fort Canning.
Why You Should NOT Book Fairmont Singapore
Bad room allocation. Went to fairmont for staycation in September and November. Was given level 6 despite requesting for high floor.
Asked to change to higher floor during check in but staff said no other rooms available in the whole of Fairmont. Told staff to check why am I allocated level 6 twice and he said will get someone to check and get back to me.
Duty manager called and said there was a available room on level 17 and check if I wanted to shift over. I declined as it was too much of a hassle to change room after moving all my stuffs in. Requested for late check-out and was given 1.5hours.
Everything was ok except the room allocation and the incompetence of the front desk staff who checked me in
