This small hotel is perfectly located in the old quarter of town. With only half a dozen rooms, this small boutique hotel covered all our needs.

Modern bathroom, comfy bed, enclosed balcony and friendly staff. Shared coffee making facilities in reception.

NB: there is no lift, and it’s up two flights of stairs; the toilets can’t take paper being flushed and so all that goes into the trash; the shower is a bit cramped and the bathroom teensy overall; and, there are no amenities attached. That said, we had fun. The location, right in the middle of old town, was perfect.

The room was small, but immaculately clean and really cutely furnished (we stayed in the Arriaga room), and with the windows closed, we heard no outside noise. The women at reception were friendly, helpful, and professional.

The ibis Bilbao Centro hotel is located very close to the city’s old quarter, the Arriaga Theater and the San Mamés soccer stadium. Pets are welcome.

The location is great, short distance to subway, bus terminal, airport bus, shopping, restaurants, old town, supermarkets etc. All staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and spacious. The room we got was located to the “courtyard” and not towards the street so it was very very quiet.

We did not eat anything at the hotel but they had a good deal/offer on breakfast which looked very nice. Also, the bed was in my opinion and liking, great! Very comfortable and spacious. Good value for money as well.

Location near busy district. Short walk around 10 minutes to main train station or main business area. Not far from the Guggenheim Museum either.

Nearby street has two supermarkets for daily needs. Not many restaurants at the spot but it is not difficult to go to city centre or old town to find good place for meal.

Their own underground car park had a lift to all floors and cost EUR 11 per night.

Perfectly located in the middle of Bilbao, this is one of the best hotels in town. You can’t beat the location. Right in the middle, you can walk to the Guggenheim Museum (a healthy walk but doable) and to the Old Town (another nice walk but doable). Dozens of restaurants in the area, plenty of entertainment.

The rooms are excellent. Enormous, spacious, and comfortable. Everything you need is there. Good TV, good wifi, large bathroom.

The lobby is huge as are the salons in the hotel proper. Quaint, comfortable and regal.

Nice, clean, classic hotel in the center of Bilbao. Good value, close to museums, old town and really great shopping. Need to reserve a parking spot ahead of time, but local garage and street parking are available and cheaper. Has a gym to work off all the food one eats in Spain. Could update the bar, but there are so many other options around. I’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel is beautifully decorated in classic old world style and the location is spot on, 10 min walk to the Old Town and 10 min to the Guggenheim. Parking was easy and stress free with the valet. I do not know if they upgraded us but our room was like a suite with a separate sitting area, and was spacious. Best of all, it looked out to the big roundabout in front of the hotel and during Good Friday night, the Semana Santa procession was right in front of our doorstep! Amazing!

Breakfast the next day was really one of the best we’ve had with a great variety of dishes. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
