Málaga is a port city on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, known for its high-rise hotels and resorts jutting up from yellow-sand beaches. Looming over that modern skyline are the city’s 2 massive hilltop citadels, the Alcazaba and ruined Gibralfaro, remnants of Moorish rule. The city’s soaring Renaissance cathedral is nicknamed La Manquita (“one-armed lady”) because one of its towers was curiously left unbuilt.

Location is good, near the local market, where we had fresh mussels, shrimps and squids for breakfast. Sounds amazing 🤪, but we really came back to the market to had dinner there too.
It was Christmas time and compliments with cute cookies and awesome drinks on lobby ad magical atmosphere with cinnamon smell. Great terrace, where we spent our evening. And nice rooftop with fantastic view on night Málaga lights.
Reception staff are multi lingual and most welcoming. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. There was a sofa for watching tv.
We chose to eat in local restaurants to experience the culture and keep costs lower – although the hotel restaurant prices were acceptable and the menu quite varied.
There are some roman ruins in the basement which gave the hotel an extra interest.
LOCATION: Besides being close to the old town with plenty of sights and restaurants, it’s a reasonable walking distance to the harbour and adjoining beach.

Most rooms have their own balcony big enough to enjoy a cup of coffee and a newspaper if one so wishes (two chairs and a round table).
Nice bathroom with bathtub/shower and bidet; the shower had great water pressure.
Nice, big bed, a little bit hard to my taste but not so much that I didn’t get a good night’s sleep (my girlfriend thought it was just right).
Nice looking roof terrace with pool and bar/restaurant (we just had a look up there; it was a bit too crowded for our taste). Great view of the city from there.
Beds were made every day, and bedsheets, pillow covers etc. were changed at least twice during our stay. Complimentary water bottles and toiletries were replaced as soon as we had used them.

This is a great hotel, perfectly located for all the best sights, a short walk from the main shopping street, Calle Larios, where the Christmas lights show was the main attraction during our December 20-23 stay. Thanks to receptionist Patricia who offered us a modern sixth floor apartment in a nearby street at no extra charge.
It had a balcony looking across the rooftops of the Atarazanas market with views of the cathedral and mountains beyond. Lots of great places to eat and drink close at hand, and a supermarket next door to the hotel itself.
The hotel is in a fantastic location. It isn’t far from anywhere, the marina, the Christmas market, the beach and shops are all within walking distance. Our room was spacious and clean, we had a mini fridge in the room which was very useful.
The room was bright, clean, airy, quiet and provided a good sleep both nights. The bathroom was lovely and had a great standard of towels and toiletries.
An ideal location for us as we could walk everywhere with ease, The Market, (also supermarket two doors up) Calle Larios, Picasso Museum and short walks to access buses and the train station. An added bonus to our stay was the switching on of the Christmas lights on Calle Larios.
