A well appointed and convenient Hotel for the Christmas Market. Friendly and competent staff who spoke excellent English and tolerated high school French.
It would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room, but it was clean and very comfortable.
Fabulous long weekend in Bordeaux at this excellent hotel, perfectly placed for exploring the main sites, either on foot or by tram. A bit more general tourist information in the lobby would have been helpful, I only found the Tourist Information Office was just around the corner by following the road signs, and we would have taken a city bus tour if we had found out about it sooner.
Nevertheless we were not short of things to do, especially with the unexpected bonus of the Allee de Tourny Christmas Market right outside the door. Brilliant.
Extremely well located, only a few feet away from the opera, this hotel is an excellent spot to discover Bordeaux. Numerous shopping and dining venues nearby. What struck me the most was the bed: fabulous and comfortable, I did not sleep that well in a while, not even in my own home!
Also very well decorated, although the bedroom was a bit small. The only two things that I disliked a bit were the separate toilet from the bathroom and the breakfast cost. 20 EUR for breakfast is quite expensive for France, especially as although the choice was good, it was buffet only with no table service or additional items on demand from the kitchen.

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed there as it was in the centre so could walk out the door and right in the midst of things including the Christmas market which was on whilst we were there. From the reception when we arrived through to breakfast and booking out the service was without fault. The room was immaculate and had two bathrooms which we weren’t expecting. Wifi service excellent.
We only stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer and certainly want to return in the future.
The hotel is located on a side street, so it is very quiet while being in the heart of everything. It is located close the Grand Theater and is a short walk to the river, lots of restaurants are nearby.
It is very close to a tram/metro stop and the tourism office is practically across the street, so it was easy to buy any type of tickets for tours, etc.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
The other main attraction is that it is in the centre of the wonderful city of Bordeaux, in a quiet street and about 200 metres from the Grand Theatre, central for the trams which can take you over a lot of the city, the tourist centre and many restaurants, and only a few minutes walk to the river where we had many enjoyable evening strolls.
If shopping is your thing it is also close to the main shopping street.
We did have breakfast here some mornings during our stay but, while very nice, at 17 euros seemed quite expensive.
Our room was very nice with air conditioning, there is a lift, and a lounge area on the ground floor.
If we were to return to Bordeaux we would happily return to this hotel, for what we wanted it was excellent, and did I mention the central location.

The room was quite small compared to other hotels we stayed in but it was big enough for us. Who needs a big room when in such a beautiful city. We decided not to take the breakfast because we wanted to try the different possibilities in the city itself. Would recommend the hotel because it’s a good location near the old city.
For somewhere that is so central, we could not believe how quiet it was. All the staff were really helpful, and we were advised where to park our car at a reasonable cost (€43 for 48 hours), which we didn’t think was bad for a central secured city centre car park.
There is no restaurant at the hotel, but there are so many restaurants very near. They serve drinks if you just wish to relax with a beer or a glass of wine; and on a warm sunny day, it was lovely to have our breakfast delivered to a table just outside our room, on a small private terrace.
It’s not a modern city centre hotel, and that’s what appealed to us. Quiet, excellent service and a good night’s sleep! We shall definitely return.
Lovely small hotel in the centre of Bordeaux. Stylishly appointed and very comfortable rooms. Generous breakfasts and evening aperitifs can be taken outside in the private courtyard. And absolutely charming staff.
