Very well located hotel for the Christmas markets – of which there are SO Many! Comfortable hotel with a funky design. Quiet rooms and good breakfast.

The room was small–but was good enough for two nights. The window opened, which was nice to get fresh air into the room. Multiple pillows and good sheets allowed us to sleep comfortably. Bed was good. Bathroom was clean with fresh towels and hot water.

The hotel is in a great location, close to all the main sights (and Christmas markets), just a 15min stroll to the train station, and a 2min walk to hundreds of shops and restaurants.

The bar and breakfast areas are nice, with 24hr bar service. All rooms are spread over 5/6 floors all accessed easily by stairs or 4 lifts. The rooms are small, however, once you get in and start using them, everything is so well thought out that it works and really doesn’t need to be any bigger. Plenty of space for all your luggage, and good use of coat hooks, shelves etc. Hairdryer is excellent and reaches out so you can use in the room as well as in bathroom!

The windows open as a tilt or as a full door, on every floor – very unusual for a modern block hotel! But great if you like some fresh air or a cool room!

Hotel close to centre and a short walking distance to all Christmas markets, beds were comfortable and slept absolutely brilliant.

We stayed in a king Room and it had a nice view over the city , room was clean and spacious and the shower was brilliant. Overall all experience was brilliant could have asked for a better say. Will definitely use this hotel chain again.

Hotel is centrally located, in walking distance of the Dom and Old Town.

Shopping area starts just around the corner and the main Christmas markets are also very close by. Hotel is modern but with a very warm atmosphere. Drinks in the bar are also very reasonably priced. A++ recommended!!

Hotel Marsil is a design hotel situated in the heart of Cologne Old Town, just 1 km from the River Rhine and near the art and shopping areas and the Belgian Quarter with its fine restaurants. It offers individually designed rooms and apartments with free Wi-Fi internet.

The beds are huge and super comfortable. Breakfast was very stylishly presented and lovely. The staff responded readily to every one of our questions.

The location is great for exploring the centre of Cologne – currently the Christmas markets at Neumarkt, the Dom and the chocolate museum are just magical.

Just fantastic. Very nice room and very cosy place, with lots of positive and happy energy. Frank is a very nice and kind host. Just loved it. Close to the Achenaren Strasse & Belgian neighbourhood, which is the place to be with fun people, good food and dancing.

This is a privately owned hotel in proximity to Neumarkt and Dom. differently decorated rooms of different sizes, partially with balcony. Vegetarian breakfast: even when you like to meat you will enjoy it. Comfortable Italian restaurant next door, unfortunately closed on Sundays.

Nice atmosphere. On warm days, you can enjoy your food outside. Excellent Italian and international cuisine.

Great location, the property was right next to the Christmas markets we wanted to visit, plenty of eating options nearby and the entire shopping/market area is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The breakfast choice and quality was excellent. We changed to the Steinberger Hotel from another city center hotel as we read from the revues that breakfast was not good and rooms were small. Although the Steinberger was more expensive than our original choice it was more than worth it.

Rooms were excellent and breakfast something to “write home about”. Staff were helpful and efficient. We made the right decision and were rewarded with an excellent four night stay for the Christmas markets.

The room was big and the view fantastic ! will certainly come again ! Parking is underneath the Hotel and this was very practical.

Came for the Christmas markets and couldn’t have picked a better located hotel. Hotel itself was immaculate, staff were friendly and very helpful. Bed was so comfy and breakfast was very good also.

Hotel is located close to all Christmas markets and shopping streets. Room are clean, bed comfortable and furnitures are fresh and trendy. Service is discrete and competent. Breakfast buffet is perfect.
