1. NH Dortmund 4* – Hotels Near Dortmund Christmas Market

The NH Dortmund is located in the city centre, just 100 m from Dortmund Train Station. It offers large, modern suites with separate living and sleeping areas, excellent spa facilities and a rich breakfast buffet.

Every suite at the 4-star NH Dortmund has a TV with free satellite channels and a minibar. The private bathrooms include a bathtub. WiFi is free in all public areas.

Places of interest within a 10-minute walk of the NH include the 12th-century St. Mary’s Church, Dortmund Concert Hall and a modern shopping centre.

A 2-minute walk from Dortmund Central Station, this sleek hotel is an 8-minute walk from the Dortmund U-Tower arts center and a 13-minute walk from the Opera House Dortmund.

The modern rooms come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus minibars and work desks. Upgraded rooms and suites add microwaves and separate sitting areas, and apartments include tea and coffee making facilities.

A formal dining room serves a breakfast buffet (fee), and there’s a 24-hour snack bar. Other amenities include a steam room, a sauna and an exercise room.

The lift then goes straight up to Reception and rooms.

The hotel itself is located very central and we were there for the Christmas Market. We only had to cross the road and you are at the market and centre of the city.

The hotel rooms are very spacious. Our room was a suite, comprising of a double bed, separated by a short wall in which the TV was set.

The tv could be turned either towards the bed or towards the settee and seating area. There was also a desk. A light up wardrobe, safe and plenty of electrical sockets completed the room.

The bathroom had a shower, bath, WC and sink along with a dressing area. The wi fi worked perfectly.The room was very comfortable and also warm.

Breakfast had plenty of choice. Food was very fresh and replenished often.

The scrambled eggs were delicious, the hot food was very hot, always welcome and the choice was endless. Yes the breakfast was not cheap but we did as advised and booked when we made our booking as this is the cheaper option. It was worth it.

We found all staff were friendly. There is also a hotel bar which was comfortable and great to end the night with a nightcap.

The hotel itself is very quiet inside but Dortmund never sleeps and as it is situated on the main road and beside the main train station and taxi rank you do get noise all night.

Wonderful hotel rooms updated since our last visit .they are all you could wish for ideal location for Christmas markets.

Train station is close so you can travel to other areas .

We will be back again next year.

2. DJH Jugendgästehaus Adolph Kolping 3* – Hotels Near Dortmund Christmas Market

This centrally located hostel in Dortmund is 800 m away from the Dortmund Main Station. It is open 24/7 and offers free WiFi access.

The hostel offers continental breakfast and guests can also book a lunch and dinner buffet.

Guests can also visit the bistro on-site, enjoy their time in the courtyard, at the traditional skittles-style bowling alley, billiard room as well as in the table tennis room.

DJH Jugendgästehaus Adolph Kolping features both rooms with a private bathroom and rooms with a shared bathroom.

This contemporary downtown hostel is an 8-minute walk from Dortmund main train station and a 9-minute walk from the Museum Ostwall’s art exhibits.

Colorful dorms sleep up to 6 with bunk beds and have shared bathrooms; private rooms add en suite facilities. Most rooms offer free Wi-Fi and/or flat-screen TVs. There’s no air-conditioning.

A breakfast buffet is complimentary. There’s also a relaxed bistro. Other amenities include a TV room, a game room and a bowling alley, as well as a pool table and 4 meeting rooms.

The vivid metropolis Dortmund, settled in the Ruhr area, has many things to offer.

Our modern youth hostel is in the center of the city of Dortmund. Fun, action, culture and relaxation: there is always an activity which suits to everybody. The transport connections are the best! Every spot is easily accessible.

. We stayed at Jugendgastehaus Adolph Kolping for one night. For 33 euros each we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation and service provided. We stayed in a room with an en-suite which amongst the best I’ve seen on my travels, as well as this the beds were comfortable and the room was nice and warm. As well as this, the staff were very helpful when we asked for help with directions to Signal Park (1.50 euro single on the metro). The breakfast buffet in the morning was very good and there was a wide variety of food, that was regularly replenished by the cooks.

It is located very close to the metro train station and a 1 minute walk away from a central square, which was hosting an excellent Christmas Market (try the currywurst). If I have visit Dortmund again, I will definitely stay here again!

Coffee Fellows Hotel Dortmund is located in Dortmund, 200 m from Theatre Dortmund and 200 m from Westenhellweg Shopping street. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and cafe.

All rooms are equipped with free WiFi, a flat-screen TV. Rooms are fitted with a private bathroom fitted with a shower. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer.

A daily breakfast buffet is served and luggage storage space is also available.

Set in the historic city center, this contemporary hotel is 2 minutes’ walk from a U-Bahn station, 8 minutes on foot from the German Football Museum and 3 km from outdoor activities at Westfalenpark.

The airy, understated rooms come with Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs.

There’s a down-to-earth cafe/bar. A breakfast buffet is available, and dogs are welcome.

The light and spacecious room, very nice and BREAKFAST! with ofcourse the coffee and healthy food. Location is great too, in the middle of the shopping area and Christmas Market and yet no noise once inside your room.

Queen Size bed very comfortable. The staff of the reception is friendly and speaks english too. Like I said earlier: my favorite hotel in Dortmund to go!

Everything was perfect. Really. Just the room was a bit small (but ok for a downtown location). Dortmund Christmas market (Weihnachtsmarkt) starts just in front of the hotel/Cafe doors.

 Fabulous location right by the Christmas market. Very modern and clean. Comfy beds. Left luggage room. Nice coffee shop on ground floor, with long opening hours,, which is also the breakfast room – great apple pie!
