Great reception service in designed surroundings, room was also perfectly designed with space for several open carry-on suitcases. Wonderful bathroom with rainshower and bed was really comfy, especially with the huge cuddle maxi comforter!

And the location is right in the middle of the new harbour district with everything within walking distance.

Super great location! 10 min walk to the city center and to Elbphilharmonie. Brand New and everything is super great. Breakfast is👌🏾 and staff very friendly!

Great boutique hotel with well thought out comncept. No receptionist, all online, The bar and restaurant are in a modern, slightly hipster atmosphere with guitars to borrow and nice staff.

Rooms are well thought-out, it is quiet and located in the middle of town, i.e. close to shops, public transport and at this time of year, the Christmas market.

Ruby Lotti with 290 rooms lies directly at Stadthausbrücke in the heart of Hamburg. Located right next to some of Hamburg’s most prestigious 5-star-hotels and restaurant and bar hotspots, the hotel is only a couple of minutes away from Jungfernstieg as well as the city’s town hall and other main attractions. Most rooms are facing the Fleet and offer a wide view over the waterways.

Based on the story of the building, a former publishing house, as well as the neighbouring press district, Ruby Lotti’s theme is dedicated to report journalism in the 60s and 70s.

The room was modern and overlooked the canal. The bed was VERY comfortable with plenty of pillow options.

I guess the only aspect of the room which could put some people off was the glass walled shower and a separate, semi-frosted glass toilet, although both these had modesty curtains in case you are shy or dont know the person you’re staying with very well (in a double bed!!).

My wife and I didn’t eat in the hotel because it was Christmas market time and we had loads of German sausage but we did drink there a couple of nights and really enjoyed ourselves.

One slight negative though: no Nutella at breakfast and when you are an addict that is a little let-down.

All rooms at the Tortue Hamburg offer a living room including a couch, a carpet or parquet, an extra-long box spring bed, a desk and a wardrobe, as well as sufficient storage space.

The bright marble bathrooms with a walk-in shower or bathtub are equipped with high-quality in-house cosmetic products.

Set in a Hanseatic-style townhouse dating from 1888, this fashionable hotel is a 2-minute walk from Stadthausbrücke S-Bahn station and 2 km from the Elbphilharmonie concert venue.

Sophisticated, elegant rooms come with free Wi-Fi, minibars, and tea and coffeemakers, plus flat-screen TVs. All feature balconies; some offer sitting areas. Suites add separate living rooms; upgraded suites have kitchens or saunas. Room service is available.

 Very comfortable. Fantastic comfortable beds. Excellent position to explore the Christmas markets and wonderful shops. Beautiful courtyard with Xmas lights and drinks from 4.00.

A bit noisy when kitchen deliveries were made in the courtyard we overlooked in the night.

This hotel is the best. A bit quirky – but just lovely and beautifully done. The reception is so welcoming – all Christmassy and lovely candles burning. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated – and the shower justfab!

Restaurant is also really excellent – the best breakfasts.

The torture Hamburg is located near Gänsemarkt making it ideal for anyone to explore the city and the annual Christmas Market.

It is located within a historic passage that is especially during Christmas beautifully decorated with a large Christmas tree in the centre.

The hotel room had very high walls (which made the room appear very large) and was decorated in an elegant stylish way that made us feel comfortable.

The room was extremely clean and the ground heating made us feel immediately warm after a cold day in Hamburg.

The Torture Hotel offers a great breakfast that is a combination of buffet and a la card. The a la card options were excellent, especially the french roast was one of the best we had so far.

The buffet had great fresh options such as home made jam and honey. Overall this breakfast was better than we have often experienced in larger hotels given the fact that most food was made freshly and a large selection was available.

We would like to come back to this hotel for our next Hamburg visit and would recommend the Torture to anyone who is looking for a unique luxury experience.
