The building retains Art Deco features,but has been comprehensively renovated in all parts.

We had a ” Lake view superior” room on the third floor,correctly described.The nearby buildings are low and do not obstruct the distant view.

All expected room fittings were present, including proper bedside tables with drawers,and showed good taste and fine workmanship.
The. bathroom was especially neat,with perfect tiles and grouting.

Renovated in 2015 and set in an Art Deco building, the family-owned Hotel des Voyageurs is located in a quiet pedestrian zone in the centre of Lausanne, next to Flon Metro Station and a 10-minute walk from the train station. It offers free WiFi in all areas.

Perfect location in the heart of the city. Just be aware that access with car up to the front of the hotel is difficult to find and risky (pedestrian area full of people) on Saturdays at least. You’re better off parking the car in Parking du Centre and walking 5 min to the hotel. The daily cost of parking (with hotel voucher) is only 15 CHF.

We got a really hearty welcome; the room was nice; and the breakfast, refreshing in a bright area.

Nice quiet pedestrian zone area, central to most things you want to see. Very very comfortable bed (room 57), one of best I’ve experienced in 2 years living in Europe. Nice breakfast, real scrambled eggs and pastries, good coffee.

The room was perfectly clean, equipped with a renovated bath/shower and quality furniture. The bed linen and bath towels were of high quality.

In the minibar I spotted 2 complementary water bottles and the Wi-Fi signal was perfectly working. Even though the room was facing towards the pedestrian area on the hotel entrance side, I kept the window open all night and enjoyed a quiet sleep.

The breakfast served on the ground floor is excellent and offers a wide variety of fresh and cooked food, that leaves no desires open.

The Interior has a modern flavour with a Wine theme throughout, I found it pleasing.
Staff was friendly and helpful. I could park my Bicycle in a neat spot in the Lobby.

Breakfast Buffet 6:30 until 10:30 with the usual meals, at 20,- CHF typical swiss price and standard.
Room 409 had excellent view through 2 windows, the windows were very soundproof so no traffic noise when closed.
Bed comfortable, small desk, wine themed cork-stool instead of a chair, funny and usable.

Nice Sauna on floor -2, good for 2 horizontal or 4-5 sitting visitors, with enough steam it reaches 90°C. Large Sofa-like furniture for resting after the sauna, quite an idea but it works.

Fitness-Gear is quite unique made from wood and the resistance comes from paddles rotating in a water tank, interesting.

Compared to the Agora Swiss Night, Swiss Wine wins on Location and Views from the Room, looses a bit on breakfast buffet and Views from the Restaurant/Breakfast Area (City instead of Lake & Mountains.
