Manchester is a major city in the northwest of England with a rich industrial heritage. The Castlefield conservation area’s 18th-century canal system recalls the city’s days as a textile powerhouse, and visitors can trace this history at the interactive Museum of Science & Industry. The revitalised Salford Quays dockyards now house the Daniel Libeskind-designed Imperial War Museum North and the Lowry cultural centre.

I felt very safe here, rooms and staff are fantastic, 24 hour reception (very reassuring for an Aparthotel, especially if travelling alone), everything you need … including White Company gels in the bathroom (no need to carry your own), complimentary breakfast, coffee, tea and juice bar, very convenient for Manchester Victoria station, and right next door to Harvey Nicks!
And there’s a Christmas Market right outside the door!
These apartments are not only in a fab location for shopping and great nightlife, but they have a touch of luxury to them all kitted out with modern, stylish features, spotlessly clean and a really comfy bed.
Friendly and helpful staff greet you at the reception and its central location is right opposite the Printworks, Arndale, Selfridges and Harvey Nics and the Christmas markets were right outside, so it was perfect for our Christmas night out in Manchester.
The price was brilliant for the location, wish I had found it sooner. Will stay there again.
Handy location for city centre and at that time of year, the Christmas Markets. Corn Exchange features lots of restaurants and bar chains and a couple of nice independents.
Only a stone’s throw from Deansgate too for bars, restaurants and nightlife. Certainly won’t find a nicer stay in this part of town.
We stayed here for one night to visit the Christmas markets and the location is fantastic.
The apartment was fully equipped although we didn’t use a lot of the facilities, everything was there. We had a lovely view of the ice rink that’s been installed for the Christmas market’s. The grab and go breakfast is a lovely concept, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, tea/coffee/hot chocolate.
The building was beautiful but it was a long walk to our room.
The extra £10 for late check out as well as the price we paid for the night was well worth the money.
Once there, it is quite heavenly. The room we had was on level 1. It was spacious with designated areas for a small ‘walk-in’ wardrobe, desk, kitchen (fully equipped with stove top and microwave), bed and large bathroom (with double shower heads!). Although we often looked out from the windows right into the interiors of a bus, we were never bothered by the noise from the street.
The hotel is centrally-located and a short walk to eating places and shops. We could not check in when we arrived at about 10 am so we left our luggage there and walked to check out the Town Hall, Christmas markets there, the John Rylands Library, the Cathedral and even did some shopping at the Manchester Arndale.
The hotel provides a Grab-and-Go breakfast which consists of a range of pastries (plain croissants, chocolate and raisin pastries), juice, coffee/tea, and fresh fruit. This was more than sufficient for us and much appreciated.
It was a very pleasant stay and I would stay at Roomzzz if ever I were in Manchester again.
We stayed for 2 nights and the accommodation was really great – lovely and clean – beds were fab – bathroom excellent and really nice fluffy white towels. There is a kitchen area with microwave, dishwasher, fridge etc: which is really handy if you want a cold drink.
Nice TV – all in all a good place to stay – we would definitely stay there again when in Manchester.
It was well situated for the Christmas Market and nightlife.
The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly.
There was even a continental style breakfast counter in the reception area.

Easy to check in. As we arrived a little early, thinking we could just leave our bags, but our room was ready so just said here’s is your keys have a great stay. Which is fantastic as it gave us a opportunity to walk around the Christmas markets and go straight out to a meal without having to come back to the room to check in.
Also room is great with a kitchen area , big fridge.
Great shower and a tv with smart share on it so you can watch Netflix etc. from your phone on it .
Also its a 5 min walk from the Palace theatre, so location is superb.
Didn’t use the hotel bar or restaurant but walking through both look great.
This is just outside the gay village and in the centre of everything.
Lovely staff and the room was great. I couldn’t turn one of the lights off and control the water temperature for the shower but these were minor problems. Very trendy and I will definitely stay here again.
The apartment was stylish and very clean, although a bit too small for a couple as the space around the bed was extremely limited (only space for one bedside table), and the bathroom was tiny, it was difficult to close the door behind you! This was a One Bedroom Open Plan Suite.
The lighting in the apartment could be improved – the dimly lit wall lights and lamps are very atmospheric, but not very practical. The kitchen area was well stocked with crockery etc. Had a dishwasher and washing machine too.

The room itself was amazing. It was huge and luxurious. The bar staff in the refuge bar were great and we spent much longer in there than we planned just because it seemed a shame to leave. The building is huge and we had great fun exploring it. If this wasn’t my best hotel experience ever, I’m struggling to think of one to beat it.
Visiting Manchester in December for a Christmas Shopping Trip and to look round the Christmas Markets.
I booked the Kimpton Clocktower from Booking.com as there was a large discount for the night we were visiting. Upon walking through the front door you are greeted with an unbelievable hallway/ reception stretching 10m high with beautifully restored original features.
The images on their website does not do this place justice! The location is also excellent for central Manchester.
We booked an executive room with 2 double beds which was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever had the pleasure of staying in.
The room was huge, with high ceilings stretching 4+m up. The room, and hotel as a whole, were impeccably decorated with good quality fixtures and fittings. The beds were also extremely comply!
