Room was good, staff were excellent and food was outstanding – probably the best rib eye steak I’ve ever had and even the breakfast was a cut above. Proximity to town and great bars was good – perfect for the Christmas Market.

Good listed building with attractive, delicate original windows and effective secondary glazing. Very good.

Quiet and attractive outlook towards St Mary’s Church, and the old Courts opposite make this a very good location. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Service at reception and breakfast was good.

Situated in a quiet part of the city centre – the Lace Market – hence its name – the hotel is the perfect place to stay if visiting the city. Rooms are spacious and offer all you need including delightfully comfortable beds! Well designed rooms with their own character. Our room was facing the beautiful St Mary’s Church set in the centre of the Lace Market – delightful view.

The hotel has its own very stylish restaurant – Merchants – which offers excellent exquisite menus; a stylish cocktail bar – Saints – and a traditional pub – Cock and Hoop. All well worth a visit depending on your taste buds.

Chose the hotel as had stayed in one in London before. Very clean and tidy, comfy bed and excellent location to the town centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly positioned to the square and Christmas market/shops/restaurants and tram stops. 5 min drive from coach station. Staff provide advice on what to see and issue map. Quiet even though on main road.

Spacious rooms, really comfortable beds and perfect location, we went for the Christmas market which we love, the corner house just around the corner from the hotel is lovely a few nice little bars and some great shopping centres too.

The hotel is centrally located on Maid Marian Way, midway between the Old Market Square and the castle.

The room was bright, comfortable and generous and had a view over the rooftops of St James Street towards the Old Market Square.
