Spending one night in Paris, I decided to try out Hotel d’Orsay, a hotel part of the Esprit de France chain I often stay at in Paris. What a pleasant surprise: located on the left bank next to the Musée D’Orsay, this boutique hotel was recently renovated and offers very comfortable, tastefully decorated impeccable rooms.

The staff was friendly and helpful, my room was quiet and offered fine bedding and a comfy bed. Very pleased with it. Will go back.

Hotel dÓrsay is perfectly located 100m from Musee dÓrsay & a very short walk from the La Seine river.

What can only be described as a beautiful boutique hotel perfectly positioned in Paris.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival & offered a drink whilst checking in. The staff here are simply perfect in every regard from helpful tips on days outings, directions or booking a restaurant for you – nothing was too much trouble.

The breakfast room was something out of a novel – Beautiful small boutique room with a lovely spread of breakfast choices & excellent serving staff to assist with any request.

The hotel was lovely, the room beautiful & very clean, location great & the staff were beyond exceptional.

This is a terrific hotel to stay at in Paris. The rooms are modern, clean and efficiently laid out. Even though it is in the heart of Paris, two blocks from the Louvre, it is incredibly quiet.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The price, relative to other comparable hotels, makes this choice very good value. A fun place to set up camp when you are enjoying Paris. A very strong recommend.

The house Keeping did really a good job even if we are quite messy and all over the place. they still can maintain every corner to be clean. I do see the different from the different house keepers, but they do all more than they requested (just some do even more)

. I think that is how the staffs are. I would say the people working behind the scene are really professionals.

3. Hôtel Regina Louvre 5* – Hotels Near Tuileries Christmas Market

The luxurious Hôtel Regina Louvre is located in the heart of Paris in the fashion, shopping and museum district, overlooking the Louvre. It first opened in 1900 for the world’s fair and is located opposite Tuileries Gardens.

Designed in an elegant style with period furniture, the air-conditioned rooms feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, telephone and safe. Some rooms have views of Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre. Free WiFi access is available throughout the hotel and facilities for making coffee and tea can be found in each room.

Both continental and buffet breakfasts are prepared every day.

Across the street from the Jardin des Tuileries, this ornate hotel built in 1900 is a 5-minute walk from the Musée du Louvre.

The prestigious Regina Hotel, fully renovated, belongs to a long French tradition of luxury hotels. In the heart of the trendy district which is home to fashion design, shopping and museum, Paris aficionados will find the ideal place to stay, across the Louvre museum and the Tuileries Garden.

From here, the luxurious Place Vendome, Orsay museum and the shopping centre Les Halles can be reached within 15 minutes on foot. Furthermore, the ‘Tuileries’ and ‘Pyramides’ metro stop at 150 meters provide quick and easy access throughout the city.

We had the Eiffel Tower suite and it was incredible. Clean, spacious, spotless, convenient to the Louvre, and the shopping district.

Service was excellent, accommodating, and sincere.

Decorated for Christmas in superb taste.

I had three nights here in a de luxe double room (218) just before Christmas – a nice side view of the Tuileries gardens with the Eiffel tower in the distance, from the room. A good sized room with plenty of space for clothes and I really liked the socket box on the table which meant I didn’t need an adapter. No bath in the bathroom – just a walk in shower but I did appreciate the heated towel rail in the cold weather. I did think that in a 5* hotel you should have a spoon for your coffee rather than a little stick similar to those in Starbucks etc.

The hotel does have a fantastic location with the Tuileries Gardens just across the road and the Louvre 5 mins walk away and the Musee D’Orsay not much further. If you don’t mind walking, the Wheel is c 10 mins away, Eiffel Tower – 40 mins, Arc de Triomphe 50 mins and Notre Dame c 25 mins.

This is an old hotel with great character and charm with a truly lovely reception and lobby area – you walk into shades of a bygone era. The staff without exception were courteous and helpful.

There are numerous bars and restaurants in the immediate area as well a McDonalds and a couple of convenience stores where you can get most things you will need for a short break.

In summary this is a really lovely, top class hotel in a great location but it isn’t cheap.
