This hotel is in a stunning location, right opposite the Astronomical clock and overlooking the square, which has a large Christmas market during December, which is an amazing sight out of the windows, which open so you can hear the bustle and smell the smells from below.
The staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is actually 2 separate buildings about 200 feet apart. When we checked in the staff told us about the amazing view BUT there was no elevator in the “old side” however the room was on the 2nd floor and not too many steps.
The room was quite large and had two large windows which overlooked the square and the clock, which was definitely worth the climb.
There are lots of restaurants in the vicinity along with souvenir stores and even some high-end retail across the square.
It is a quick 10-minute walk to the tram or the Metro rail and a 5-minute walk to a bus if you are looking for some non-tourist type adventures.
We chose this hotel because it is right in the old town square and was an easy walk to everything.
It looks right at the astronomical clock so gets very busy out the front, but there are lots of great restaurants and bars very close by. The Christmas markets being right out the front door was also very handy and a great way to spend a few hours on a cold winter evening.
The hotel is in the Old Town Square, facing the Astronomical Clock and surrounded by Prague’s Christmas Markets. The concierge (I think Martin) was very welcoming, organised a complimentary upgrade and got us in early which was very kind.
He also gave us lots of tourist info and the best places to see during our stay. Could not fault his service. Our room was 301 and just incredible and had two levels. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December while the Christmas markets are on and the hotel is literally right around the corner from the Old Town Square and Astro Clock so it took less than 2 minutes to walk to it. Although it was busy with the markets the hotel was lovely and quiet and easily within walking distance of other attractions – we visited the Beer Spa, Powder tower, Charles bridge, Prague Castle (although a bit more of a walk) all from the hotel.
The staff were really friendly and the room was nice. Breakfast was also good.
Everything related to our stay at Hotel Rott was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and gave us very useful advice related to tours of, and places to visit and dine in, the city. The location being right in the heart of the old town and in the heart of the main Christmas Market was priceless.
And of course a very short walk from the Charles Bridge. The breakfast buffet was also quite rich and caters to all tastes. I definitely recommend the hotel. We had a five star experience.
Absolutely loved being right in old town just steps away from the Christmas markets, restaurants and shops. Never went but there was a Hard Rock Cafe next door.
We stayed here for the first night of the Christmas market and had an amazing weekend
The hotel is situated tight in the centre of the old town and about 100m from the famous clock and tower also the Hard Rock Cafe is next door although we had no noise pollution at all it was perfect.
The rooms are not massive but are adequate for the weekend stay they are warm and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities

This is a small hotel in a city center small street, location is perfect. Right in the center but away from the bustle. A few minutes on foot from the Astronomical Clock. We went in December and we were a block away from a great Christmas Market with all types of typical fare and handmade souvenirs.
We could see the Astronomical Clock and many churches plus the wonderful red tile rooftops of the city center and the castle in the distance. It was breathtaking at night with the monuments and churches lit up.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and professional. Breakfast was good value for money. Location was great for visiting Christmas markets.
The hotel staff were always friendly. The hotel rooms are a good size, clean and tidy, with a little kitchen in, although, a little bit hot, but this was solved by leaving the window open at night.
