A refined restaurant/bar has a terrace and Piazza Navona views.

Eitch Borromini is located inside Palazzo Pamphilj, ordered by Pope Innocenzo X and designed by Francesco Borromini in the XVIIth century with exquisitely furnished guest rooms equipped with every comfort.

Six floors throughout, surrounded by bell towers, magnificent terraces with unequaled views of Rome and secret passageways that lead to internal views of the church and of St. Agnese in Agone, the baroque masterpiece next to us.

The Hotel is the same building as the the Historic Sant’Agnese 17 Century Baroque Church. The Church faces into the Piazza Navona and the Hotel is accessed from the street behind.

The service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the whole team at the Eitch deserve maximum credit.

The Restaurant on the fourth floor faces out onto the Piazza, and you can look up to the dome of the church also; the meal we had there was excellent and the service perfect as you would expect.

The St Agnes Suite we stayed in was very spacious with a study space, living area and two large bedrooms and bathrooms.

The location made our trips around Rome really easy, and it was possible to walk to the Vatican City in 20 minutes, or to the Colosseum in a similar time and the Pantheon in five minutes.

Hotel Eitch Borromini, nestled in the famed Palazzo Pamphilj in Piazza Navona, embodies the very heartbeat of Rome. When I chose this hotel for an early holiday trip to Italy with my boyfriend, I recognized the historical significance of the space, but could never have imagined the incredible feelings of awe and wonder that would accompany residing in such a venerated building. This hotel is less of a place to stay and more of an experience; a transport back in time to a royal Rome with an air of prestige, rich in history ranging from ancient Rome to the height of the papal Renaissance.

We stayed in a lovely suite with a view of the bell tower and a desk where Borromini, the famed architect himself, sat to write. We were elated with the building’s incredible views including a 360-degree terrace and breakfast tables overlooking the Piazza.

In conclusion, the best hotel experience I have ever had, not only in Rome, but in all of Italy. One cannot help but stay in this hotel and experience Rome the way it was intended to be seen, through the eyes of curious royal.

3. Guest house Terrazze Navona 3* –  Hotels Near Rome Christmas Market

Terrazze Navona

Terrazze Navona is located in central Rome, just 300 m from Piazza Navona. WiFi is free throughout.

Rooms here feature a flat-screen TV, safe, and parquet floors. Each has tea/coffee making facilities and a private bathroom.

Castel Sant’Angelo is 500 m from the Terrazze Navona. Campo dè Fiori and the Pantheon are a 10-minute walk away.

The location is brilliant. You can walk to all of the main sights. Our room had a balcony with gorgeous views of rooftops and laneways. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever. The decor was gorgeous.

The hotel had a lift and this was a real bonus with our heavy suitcases. Only negatives were the fridge did not work and the shower had very little pressure. I would absolutely stay here again.

Location is superb. Rooms are lovely. The only problem I had is that the rooms are on the highest level and if you suffer vertigo or fear of heights then the balconies here are not for you. I could not sit out and enjoy because I cannot relax with the height. This is of course a personal thing and if heights do not bother you then the views are perfect.

The rooms are tasteful and classical. Would recommend although I wouldn’t personally stay again, purely for the height of the building.

The view from our apartment was stunning! We had breakfast on the balcony overlooking Rome throughout our stay and this was a fantastic end to our Italian holiday. The room was a decent size with a comfortable bed, great aircon, strong wifi (and coffee) and was very clean. Given the top floor location the lift was very handy.

The location was perfect in central Rome and was easy to get to a variety of attractions and areas across the city.
