Came during Christmas Markets season and the Christmas trees composed by all the little bears seated at the grand staircase huge landing are something great as photo spot. You could take just a lot of candid photos by just hang around this huge christmas tree and grand staircase. The high atrium space was something grand and unique.

Room wise, though it is not spacious and with no view (only view to the void of the atrium as we took the standard courtyard room) , but it is good enough as the classic heritage feel still presented throughout the interior decor of the room.

The swimming pool that can look over the famous bridges and surrounding tourist spots is something great.

We got a beautiful Quay Room with double bed, room was really spacious with generous furniture. I had an extra bed and the room is still spacious. Nice and comfy bed with great pillows.

The bathroom has a really nice tub and spacious shower. The View from the balcony was gorgeous facing the river.

We took our breakfast at The Town restaurant next day, service was great with good selection of breakfast set. A bread basket & fruits was served promptly before we select our breakfast set.

My hubby chose the bee hoon set and I had the congee set, both were delicious. My son had the western set and he managed to clean up his plate. There are many other good breakfast options near the hotel be it local or western type.

Swimming pool was quite small though, it is an infinity pool with great views facing the museums and Parliament House.

Location is really superb which walking distance to raffles place MRT, boat quay and merlion park. I would recommend a nice evening walk by the river side.

This grand old beautiful hotel was beautifully decorated during Christmas season which really enhanced our staycation experience. Service was immaculate from reservations to dining to check out.

The reception area amazing.. huge, checkin quick and easy most of all a friendly helpful staff .

The hotel dressed for Christmas and what looked like a fabulous New Year Eve party with hundreds and hundreds of balloons ready to fall on the party people.

The bed very comfy and the pillows chunky soft really nice.

Bathroom big with his and her basins and separate shower and bath, and good size soft towels.
The room also had a hairdryer, iron/board, fridge and complementary tea & coffee with kettle.
The room was cleaned very well.

The location great to even walk to the bay area, also the hopper bus stops not to far across the road, we didn’t use public transport but would have done if staying longer, as loads of buses nearby.

When we first arrived we were wowed by the atrium and reception areas which were beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms are fairly standard but immaculately clean and it is a nice touch having the smartphone in the room for free wi-fi calls and messages.

The breakfast buffet is excellent and very varied

The hotel is very well situated for shopping malls, public transport and for the hop on and off tourist buses. The staff got taxis for us when needed very efficiently.

Every member of staff we had contact with was friendly, helpful and efficient.

Using signature red and combining it with opulent gold and sophisticated black, the hotel decor’s provocative style is followed through in the rooms including 5 individually-themed suites, each with a tantalizing name – Splendour, Passion, Opulent, Lavish and Swank.

tayed at the Scarlet for just one night as I had a stopover in Singapore and, much preferring a boutique hotel to a corporate chain, it ticked all the right boxes: quirky charm, stylish, great location and excellent value for money.

It’s beautifully decorated (the Christmas decorations were fab throughout, given a big helping hand in that they so complemented the general decor) and the slight nod to the salacious is humorously carried through to the room do not disturb/make up my room signs.

A very good hotel with nice clean and functional rooms and a nice atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and service-minded. It’s conveniently located in a quiet area with only a few minutes walk to public transportation in Chinatown or just a few hundred meters in the other direction from the hotel so you have the whole city nearby.

If you just want a quick budget meal there is a food court just around the corner and you have a lot of Chinese restaurants to choose from in Chinatown walking street that agents to the hotel street, otherwise there is plenty of all kinds of good restaurants nearby.

The hotel is clean, great wifi, and has a beautiful vintage and classy look, with gorgeous chandeliers, mirrors, and antique furniture. The location is excellent – one block from Chinatown and across from a great food court with tons of authentic food options (the Maxwell Food Center); not only do locals eat there, but you can share tables and talk with people about Singapore.

Overall, my party and I were very pleased and impressed with this gem of a hotel.
