I was initially concerned about the location of the hotel, but it was definitely not an issue. The Banqiao Station (MRT, train, and HSR) is a short 10-minute walk. The lower level has a food court with excellent options for a quick meal. It includes Minder Vegetarian, which caters to non-carnivores like our son.Just further on is Mega City with shops and more food options, including a Din Tai Fung. The lower level also offers massages provided by sight-impaired therapists.
We would alternate between having breakfast in the Exec Lounge or in Market Flavor (on the 3rd floor). On days when we have lunch plans, the Exec Lounge is a more sensible option so that we don’t overeat.
Located near the MRT/HSR Banqiao Station, this is a Hilton hotel with a good standard of excellence in customer service.
The sleeping rooms are nicely appointed & spacious, with very comfortable bedding; both a tub for soaking as well as a roomy walk-in shower. Rooftop pool along with excellent fitness center, and tasty buffet restaurant are just a few of the many hotel amenities.
The executive lounge serves cooked-to-order eggs, hot & cold items, croissants, dim sum, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices and more for breakfast. They also have a Nespresso machine for making espresso, latte, Americano coffees. In the evening there are cocktails and hot & cold food items as well. Executive Lounge manager Hailey and her entire team take great care of all visitors to the Lounge.
If you need to go somewhere or plan some activity, Milton at the concierge desk will take great care of you.
In walking distance is the Mega City shopping mall, which offers lots of shopping & dining options – including a Din Tai Fung for incredible xiao long baos and a Honolulu Cafe for awesome egg tarts!
The best secret about this place is its proximity to the TPE Airport. Just take the HSR one stop to Taoyuan HSR Station, and then MRT 5 stops to TPE Terminal 2. You’ll find this faster than going to any of the hotels around the Taipei Main Station or Zhongshan Station areas.

Location is excellent, close to metro stations Xinzhong and Banqiao. Room was not huge but still a good size, nice view. Bathroom clean and well appointed. Breakfast was ok maybe a tad limited on Western choices but we still managed to have a fulfilling meal every morning with a good portion of fresh fruits, bread, eggs, jam and tea/coffee.
Staff really very helpful and spoke Mandarin and English. Shops, night market, convenience stores and nice temple and Lin family house in the neighborhood . Would totally recommend and come back.
However, from the moment we stepped in the room, we were glad that we did. The room was simply humongous (more than 50 sq.m). It is immaculately clean with a wonderful king-sized bed. Besides the size of the room, the bathroom took our breath away. It was almost as huge as the room with modern shower heads (hand-held or rain shower). The shower even converts into your personal steam room. To top it all, the snacks in room were free.
The hotel is conveniently located in front of Fuzhong MRT station (50m from Exit No. 2), one stop away from Banqiao High Speed Rail Station. The area is bustling with street food and nightlife. Ask the staff for directions to the nearest night market (about 10 mins away).

The decor for the holidays was impressive, mostly due to the giant Christmas tree in the lobby. Also, the hotel did not appear to be haunted, lol. I was intrigued when I read about the supposed haunting online. So! Location is amazing. Easily 5 mins away from the iconic Taipei 101, and an additional 10 or 15 minutes to the Elephant Mountain stairs.
The hotel is also less than 5 minutes away from a subway stop, and you can take the red line directly to the famous Shilin night market. The hotel is also near the Tong Hua night market, and you can call a cab to get there for around.
Location: One of the best features of this hotel. Right next to the iconic Taipei 101 and modern shopping district. Walking distance to the Sun Yat Sen Memorial and close to several of the famous night markets & Christmas Market
Everything is less than $5 cab ride away across the city. Also the airport bus from Taoyuan makes one of the final stops here, so easy for airport transfer.
Room: Clean and cozy with a touch of modern Chinese characteristics. We were on Club Floor and the rooms here were nice. Slightly smaller than average 5 star rooms, but very cozy with a nice sofa that goes along the window. Bathroom is very spacious.
Facilities: The hotel overall is not the most modern due to its age, but still well maintained.
The lobby is pretty massive in the typical Asian 5 star way with lots of marble. If you stay during Xmas they have a massive Christmas tree which is great for kids and photos. It was too cold during Dec to take advantage of the outdoor pool, but this looked like a nice place to chill in warmer weather.
The sauna/jacuzzi facilities were very well kept and relaxing after a long day of tourism and shopping. This was a big plus for this hotel.
F&B: We had the breakfast in the Club Lounge and it was more than enough with a good selection. Same for the evening cocktails and canapés…you could easily make this a dinner here.
We enjoyed a buffet dinner at Cafe and it had more than enough selections with a great balance between Western and Asian. Definitely a good place to go for special holidays like Xmas, New Year’s.
Service: Very good. Lounge staff were especially helpful. Bell staff very happy to assist.
Summary: Overall this is a great hotel in terms of location and quality if you are in Taipei for business or pleasure. We were with kids and our daughter loved it. It will definitely make your visit to Taipei that much more enjoyable and relaxing.
