Hotel Dubrovnik is located on the main city square of Zagreb which has a unique hospitality tradition since 1929. It is the only hotel located in the heart of Zagreb and it is surrounded by most of the major tourist sites such as the cathedral, Zagreb old town, Dolac market, parks, bars and restaurants.
The hotel contains a total of 222 rooms which are equipped with air-conditioning, private bathrooms with showers or a bathtub, hairdryer, TV and a minibar.
Ideally located at the main square, the hotel was really nice choice for my purpose – beginning of Christmas market in front of it was an added bonus. My room was quite big, clean, with old style furniture, mini-bar (which actually I didn’t find – not that I searched for it – but was told by front desk when asked whether I had anything from it), but unfortunately no coffee machine. The bathroom was also big with full bath, also very clean and with standard “issue” of many hotels – no makeup mirror and makeup friendly light. The bed was big and comfortable. Wifi functioned perfectly.
The front staff was professional and helpful, as everyone else. The best thing of breakfast was local dish štrukle which was really delicious.
Nice variety of other hot and cold options was served in the restaurant which after breakfast partially doubles as caffe, “kavana”, with nice view on main square.
This great and affordable hotel is located in the centre of Zagreb with pedestrian zones galore. the only draw back is that you will have to walk about 2 blocks from where the taxi drops you as pedestrian zones do not allow cars.
The hotel itself is modern and the rooms are spacious, clean and quiet!
Breakfast is a pretty standard buffet with eggs and pastries and a few other items. The staff speak perfect English – as it seems, does everyone else in Zagreb. Hope to be back at this hotel in December for the Christmas markets.
The hotel is located five minutes walk to the main square. It’s a no traffic street and during Christmas it has a Christmas Market just in front. Rooms were great, staff amazing and Breakfast was extremely complete. The price for location and comfort was cheap.
The hotel is immaculate very clean and is right in the heart of the city centre! The bed was huge and so comfortable, room cleaned daily. I would totally recomend it we thoroughly enjoyed it and I look back at pics wishing I was back in the comfy hotel bed!
We went for the Christmas market and it sure was Christmas it snowed while we were there and the hotel was cosy warm then when we opened our window we could smell mulled wine and hear Carol singers! It was a perfect winter trip away.

The rooms are extremely clean and the staff very friendly. Great choice for the city escape.
Spacious, clean, newly renovated apartment with cool interior design. Very well located within walking distance to the city center but still in a quiet area. Electric water kettle and toaster in the common area.
The location of the apartment is central to Zagreb city centre. The entrance is a bit off-putting but the apartments are modern, possibly a bit too modern for the building. The TV had lots of channels. The apartment has some nice decorative touches and is clean and bright.

This is the second time we visited Zagreb so we were somewhat familiar with Zagreb. We were coming to Zagreb mainly to visit the Christmas Market which we have heard so much about. This hotel was in a great location for the Christmas Market.
It was literally a two minute walk away from the Christmas market and about a 10 minute walk to the center of Zagreb. Sometimes you may think of a Best Western Hotel as an average type chain but this hotel was fantastic. It was just me and my wife and we were upgraded to a Executive room.
The rooms were very clean and spacious. The bathroom was big with a nice shower. We had a bed which was very comfortable. The flat screen TV was a Smart TV which allowed streaming from our devices which was nice.
The room was very quiet despite having a room facing the street. Breakfast included the next morning and it was very good!
The Christmas Market in Zagreb is a wonderful and colorful event. The whole city is a big and joyful christmas market.
The Best Western Astoria is the perfect hotel for this. The location is perfect; close to the main square and the train station (and all other sights). But it is nevertheless very quiet.
From the moment we walked into the hotel we were greeted warmly by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. Even though arriving relatively early, our room was ready (I know, not guaranteed – but still very much appreciated).
Room (top floor) was very nice and comfortable, quiet and had an “old world charme” to it, a bit of a Grand Hotel flair. Breakfast had a good selection and the team looked out and refilled empty trays quickly.
Location was great to start scrolling the various Christmas market places. All in all i would say a perfect stay. We would certainly come back: Nice hotel, friendly team, cozy room.
Hotel in an excellent location for both the Christmas markets (superb) and for old town/ tourist sites.
Staff are first class and the breakfast is excellent. Although an older style hotel we found it charming. If in Zagreb again would have no hesitation in staying here.
