Calgary, a cosmopolitan Alberta city with numerous skyscrapers, owes its rapid growth to its status as the centre of Canada’s oil industry. However, it’s still steeped in the western culture that earned it the nickname “Cowtown,” evident in the Calgary Stampede, its massive July rodeo and festival that grew out of the farming exhibitions once presented here.

! The front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating. They recommended great restaurants in the area and even helped us get a reservation during a busy weekend. The room was large, clean and well decorated. My ten year old daughter loved ending each day hanging out in the hotel lounge that was stocked with board games, tea, hot chocolate and popcorn.

Our room (311 – two queen beds) was so charming! Spacious, comfortable, well designed, modern and impeccably clean.
And the Christmas lights and decorations in the hotel and throughout the city were truly beautiful! Already can’t wait to go back to this sweet hotel. (Hint: Take the train to Québec! The station is less than 5 minutes away, and the city is so walkable. No need to worry about directions or parking!

Might consider a little update or facelift on the room.. other than that, very satisfied with our stay.
Amazing location in Old Quebec. Across from the German Christmas Market. 5 minute walk to Château Frontenac. Lots of shops and restaurants all around. The beds are comfortable.
The staff are friendly and helpful with recommendations. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to experience Quebec during the Christmas Season.
Hotel is located right in the center of Old Quebec surrounded by many good restaurants, the German Christmas market, and all the sights within the city. Room was on the smaller side, but still comfortable and functional for a family of 4.
I would say the rooms are equivalent in size to what you would find in any European city. Cleaning staff does a great job keeping the common areas and rooms clean and service at the front desk was great.
The rooms were nice, much larger than other old European style hotels with cramped rooms that hadn’t been updated recently. We had plenty of room for our clothes and luggage and our family of three fit on the two double beds just fine. There was also USB chargers in the wall which I appreciated.
The breakfast buffet was also quite good, with standard yet ample array of classic breakfast foods including freshly cooked hot foods, oatmeal and cereal and an array of juices.
The hotel is about 10mins (15 if there’s a lot of snow) from the train station,
The hotel is right in the middle of Vieux Quebec, next to attractions, shopping streets and plenty of good food (there is a Christmas market right outside), so I would recommend for people who want to explore the neighbourhood.

This place was great. We stayed in the Marie Annette suite and there are panels from Versailles in the room.
It was right across from the Christmas Market and in the middle of everything. The staff was great and the room was warm and cozy.
It was our first time in Quebec City, and hopefully not our last. We stayed in the Marie Antoinette room, which was spacious and comfortable. Even though the German Christmas market was right outside our window, there was no noise.
The room was cozy and very clean. The shower was amazing. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet each morning.
The hotel is centrally located and steps to the Christmas Market, Notre Dame Cathedral, Holy Trinity, Quartier Petit Champlain, and many other shops.
We in Quebec for the Christmas Market and the hotel is an excellent location. The room was very nice and well appointed. The front desk staff went above and beyond to rectify an issue with parking at city hall. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast included was great. Very good value for your money.
e! We wanted a place close to the Christmas Market and it was literally right outside the door. It was also a great base to explore the “Old City” by food as well as to venture to the base of the funicular to explore the shops and restaurants there too.
We also wanted b’fast included and by booking online the buffet breakfast served in Chez Jules was included — it was so much that we usually didn’t eat again until supper! The room was quiet; never heard anyone above or below us. It was immaculate!
We also lucked out that the German Christmas Market occurred during our stay. The market was all around our hotel area. All in all, this a is a small, personal hotel that we would highly recommend to travelers to Old Quebec City.
