We were only there for one night so we didn’t explore locally but access to the downtown was easy with metro and sky train. Guest Reviews: The location is excellent. There are boats (e.g., with orange flag, a ticket costs to anywhere 16 Baht) they take you to many destinations, incl. Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, the Oriental Hotel, etc. Also BTS (after one station you have to transfer to Silom Line). Close to the hotel is the new shopping center IconSiam with a huge food court. In the building there is even a 7-eleven shop, where you can much more easily get a beer than inside. We found that the fish restaurant Yok Yor close to the hotel (to the north) was not worth the effort, it used to be much better. Bored waiters and boring food. The hotel was all together ok. In a cross street (to the West) nearly opposite to the hotel you can find “real” Thai food in a small street restaurant on the left side, after a few hundred meter walk. There is also a food cart providing the most delicious SomTam we have ever had and also barbecued chicken, they have also a few tables on the sidewalk, very good and clean!
