This was our second accommodation in Sihanoukville. We arrived late on the 31 of December and thought we could find some rooms free. But it was New Years Eve and all the hostels, Guesthouse Sihanoukville and hotels in Sihanoukville – Cambodia was fully booked. So the first night we slept in the lobby of a guesthouse. To be honest, I slept very well there, a very deep nap!
The second day I started to look for a new place in order to spend one more relaxing evening in this little town. After seeing 2-3 places I found this Guesthouse Sihanoukville – Les Feuilles (the french word for leaves). What I really liked about the place was the peace of the place.
Location of the Guesthouse Sihanoukville : Its situated at the end of the resort, in the South part of it. The closest beach is Ochheuteal Beach. By foot we will arrive on the beach in 5 minutes.
Atmosphere & Facilities: The place is owned by a French expat and his Cambodian wife. Together with their 3 children; they might have more at this moment. Due to this fact, we may fall simultaneously in Paris and Cambodia. The rooms are simple; no air conditioning only a fan. It can be quite hot during the summer. A billiard table is available at this guesthouse. I do believe that every guesthouse, hostel in Cambodia has one!
Of course she runs the guesthouse; when she asked him (the owner) to bring the milk from the fridge and he could not find it, she only said : 10 years and still you don’t know where the milk is!!
Cleanness & Rooms: Rooms are decent; they have only double room and twin rooms type. No dormitory for this accommodation. The toilets and the showers are not located in the room; for some people this can be an inconvenience.
Services and prices : Breakfast is included. And what a breakfast; what a treat! We feel like having it in France not in Cambodia. I suggest you to have dinner at this place too; I think i gained 2 extra kg only in 2 days there.
