1. Mango Cottage 2* – Magnetic Island Pet Friendly Accommodation

Offering free WiFi and free private parking, Mango Cottage is set in Horseshoe Bay, just 1.6 km from Florence Bay Beach.

Cottage was very clean and spacious, just a short walk to horseshoe bay. Doggies loved it! Would book again.

The location was perfect! Having lorikeets come down while you have breakfast on the back deck is amazing. Rooms quite sufficient for 3 couples. Will be back!

The cottage was so beautiful, very clean, had everything we needed! Our host was so lovely and very helpful! Also nice and close to the bus stops so easy to find and get around the island!

2. Serenity 4* – Dog Friendly Accommodation Magnetic Island

Situated less than 1 km from Rocky Bay Beach, Serenity offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi.

All units comprise a seating area with a sofa, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with various cooking facilities, including a microwave, a fridge, a stovetop and a toaster. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge.

There is a barbecue and a terrace at this property and guests can go hiking and fishing nearby.

Clean, welcoming and all the important things thought of (comfortable sofas, extra wine glasses, great mix of teas and coffee, nice plush towels and crisp clean sheets). We have a registered Assistance Dog (Guide, hearing and assistance dogs) and were welcomed with a dog bowl of fresh water in the room and a little bowl of treats for Lola (the dog).

Can not describe how welcome, wonderful and inclusive this made us feel.

We had a lovely welcome from the owner, the location is perfect as it’s right next to the beach and close to shops. Also the fresh flowers put everywhere was lovely.

Serenity is the perfect name for this super relaxing, calm setting. A hidden gem for sure. Great hosts – Sally gave us the most warm welcome. She’s so thoughtful and provides great advice, and is knowledgeable about the island.

Lovely quality bed linens and towels.

Well equipped unit, SMEG appliances – kettle & toaster. Private screened outdoor terrace – table/chairs. Perfect for al fresco dining or an evening glass of wine.

Lovely pool and outdoor dining area with BBQ. Just a couple of minutes from the beach and Picnic Bay Jetty. Plenty within walking distance – a coffee shop, tasty Italian and a bar/restaurant.

3. City Oasis Inn 3* – Pet Friendly Accommodation Townsville Australia

Located in Townsville city centre, City Oasis Inn offers free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with a TV. The tropical landscaped gardens feature a lagoon-style pool, a heated spa pool, a waterfall and a children’s pool.

Reef HQ Aquarium and The Strand are a 15-minute walk each from City Oasis. Magnetic Island Ferry Terminal is 1.5 km away. Townsville Airport is only 13 minutes’ drive from the hotel.

Each room includes a private bathroom, ceiling fans, tea/coffee making facilities and a refrigerator. Ironing facilities are provided. Some rooms have car parking directly outside. The Standard Double Room – Pet Friendly can only accommodate pets with prior request.

This straightforward hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Museum of Tropical Queensland, and a 17-minute walk from both Reef HQ Aquarium and Queens Gardens.

Ranging from rooms to apartments and a cottage, the unassuming quarters offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minifridges. Some have sitting areas, kitchenettes, verandahs and/or whirlpool baths.

Complimentary perks include access to a nearby gym, continental breakfast and parking. Other amenities consist of a cafe/bar, a lush garden and guest laundry facilities, plus BBQ grills, an outdoor pool and play areas.

WE loved the position, although dated, it was your usual style of motel for the age. Very small, extra charge for pet, but happy to pay as there is not much availability for dogs in Townsville.

Pet/Service Dog friendly … stayed on ground floor which is perfect.

Really enjoyed the convenience and quiet of this property. Such a beautiful pool area and lovely grassed area for our dog. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Great location right in the city. Pet friendly accommodation with lovely grassy area to walk the dog. Tropical oasis style pool. The room was clean and updated with a very comfortable bed.

We were travelling through from cairns to Adelaide with our Great Dane and English cocker spaniel and they were so happy to help out with a beautiful room where the dogs were able to stay in the room with us.

The room was clean and fresh the only thing that was a bit of a disadvantage was the shower it was a very tiny room and I struggled a bit as I’ve had two knee replacements but the shower was very clean but I can’t complain really as it was a pet friendly room and we were only there one night.

I would stay here again for sure travelling with or without the dog.
