Muslim Friendly Hotels Malta
Of the estimated 3,000 Muslims (typically under reported) in Malta, approximately 2,250 are foreigners, approximately 600 are naturalized citizens, and approximately 150 are native-born Maltese. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is also present.
Malta is a small island country, located in the Mediterranean sea and this makes it the perfect getaway for a summer vacation. Not expected by many but I find it super beautiful and Muslim–friendly. It has so much history, beautiful beaches, family-friendly activities and they also drive on the same side as the UK
The Muslim friendly hotel means a hotel that has Islamic characteristics that can provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers such as a Qibla direction indicator, the availability of prayer tools, the presence of halal food / list of nearby restaurants that provide halal food
Halal tourism is a subcategory of tourism which is geared towards Muslim families who abide by rules of Islam. Many international hotels in Malta do serve halal food that is slaughtered in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia and is free of any substances forbidden by Islam such as pork and alcohol.
Other Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Brunei continue to be popular with Muslim tourists. Among non-OIC countries, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Japan and Taiwan remain the top five respectively, but show improved scores on the index.

This resort is a absolute gem of a place, best decision we made to book here. Located away from the City in Mihella close to the popeye village and not too far from the ferry port for your trip to Gozo. Getting everywhere is very easy as the buses outside the resort go all over Malta including Valleta.
The resort itself is fantastic from friendly staff throughout the resort. This is from reception to restaurant to kids club. We were pleasantly surprised how much there was available to do.
They have a sports bar for all the football lovers, bowling alley, pool table, arcade machines etc. We were excited when we discovered a kids soft play area which was a relief.
The restruant serves variety of food every day from breakfast to dinner which was delicious. I have to say what really made us happy is when we found out the resort was using some halal meat which as Muslims was fantastic as we could enjoy it fully. The Chefs were amazing, they truly made the effort with us by discussing the food preparation as were couldnt have certain foods especially desserts. Talking of desserts, they were awesome.
As well as the main restruant the resort also has Oriental, American and Italian restaurants which you have to book. Once again the food served in these places is top quality. They also have a snack restruant which actually has a lot of hot food.
The resort also has a decent gym and a indoor pool as well as a massive outdoor pool. Its a shame we didnt have time to use it but it looked really nice.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, the cleaners do a fantastic job.
Malta itself is a beautiful Island and as we went out of season it was very peaceful getting around.
This resort made our trip wonderful. Everybody in the resort was very polite, helpful and accommodating. This has made our minds up on coming back again. Not only that but we have recommended this resort to our family/friends.
A fully inclusive hotel providing drinks as part of your meals. Nice rooms with basic amenities. Nice friendly staff. Basic sauna and good gym. Swimming pool was very big. Buffet had a large variety at lunch and dinner.
Staff helpful with halal food requirements. Found the restaurants with different themes to be poor as the food was the same as the main laguna restaurant.
Bus stop right outside to go to Rabat, mdina, Valletta. Social nights in the hotel were ok, and provided entertainment in the evenings.
The stay itself was perfect, the staff keep smiling the whole time.
The chefs Muhammad, kais, awali was perfect helping and answering every single question especially when asking for “halal” food.

Our room was beautiful. It felt like home for us and we had good night sleeps while we were there however the pillows were very large but this was rectified after we asked housekeeping staff for smaller pillows.
We had a country view room and there were campers outside the hotel on our side so during the evening and into the night they would be quite noisy which would prevent us from sleeping.
The hotel is secluded therefore we had to catch a bus everyday to go out to town but the rate of €1.5 per bus ride was cheap enough to make the trip everyday.
The bus stop is situated outside the hotel too so you’d never get lost on your way home.
We had booked 4 days breakfast while we were there and we were able to choose what days we wanted to go down for breakfast which was very good to have as sometimes we would wake up late or have an early excursion.
The breakfast buffet couldn’t have been better. We even had specially made halal chicken sausages and chicken breast which was brought to the table for us, they really considered their guests needs and made us feel comfortable during our meal.
The beach is just outside the hotel and was spectacular with clear waters and soft sand.
It wasn’t over crowded and it looked beautiful day and night as we would spend some of our evenings looking over at the sun setting over the beach.
The restuarants were expensive but we used to take the free shuttle to st Julians were the bus would drop us off near a HALAL doner kebab shop and we would take loads of stuff from there and from the supermarket round the corner from the kebab shop, as butter eggs etc were expensive from the hotel shop.
The room had a fully working kitchen so it was easy for us to get by without expensive hotel food.
