I really liked that I could take my dogs and that they had hard flooring and a balcony. Really easy to get dogs in/out. Great place to stay, very good price, would highly recommend!

My husband, son (11) and small dog stayed 2 nights. We found the price was great for central Auckland and awesome that we could take our dog too. A few minutes walk to Queen Street. Sky City just down the street. Best Ugly Bagels one street away. Will definitely be going back.

The staff were lovely and very accomodating. We have a pug puppy who they were really friendly and helpful with. We stayed on the pet floor and had no issues. Didn’t hear any other dogs either! It was free to have the pug with us too.

The Auckland City hotel provided lovely clean rooms with comfortable beds one for us & one for our dog.

They even had a water & food bowl for the pooch too. We normally bring our own but weren’t expecting to stay the night. It was supposed to be a day mission so this was a very nice touch. Exceptional value for money.

The location was amazing right in the city! Walking distance to everything you need. Staff were amazing, customer service on point!! Each staff member I interacted with was very helpful & all very friendly!

There was parking on site for a reasonable rate & a delightful breakfast that was included with our room.

We highly recommend Auckland City Hotel & know where we’ll be staying when we visit Auckland next.

2. The Waiheke Lodge 4* – Dog Friendly Accommodation Auckland

A perfect choice for corporate and wellness retreats, family reunions, wedding accommodation, meditation days or a big chill with family and friends.

Best accommodation ever! Comfortable fit for 21 of us with loads of space. Modern, family-friendly, pet-friendly & we loved it so much we are planning a return!

Really appreciated the covid-proofing of the home with lots of tissues, hand sanitizers, gloves & cleaning products. A home away from home with gorgeous views across the valley.

3. Mt Albert Motor Lodge 3* – Pet Friendly Accommodation Auckland

Located in Auckland, within 6 km of Auckland Town Hall and 7 km of SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre, Mt Albert Motor Lodge provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Guests can enjoy city views.

At the motel every room comes with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kitchenette, a dining area and a private bathroom with a hairdryer, a shower and free toiletries.

At Mt Albert Motor Lodge all rooms include bed linen and towels.

Convenient location and with a yummy cafe on site. Dog friendly and room has everything you need.

We were grateful that we could bring our dog so the location for walking him was great. Handy to the motorways and shops.

Lovely place, easy to get to everything, facilities was great, cafe on site, owners were so lovely and helpful, everything was really spotless and comfortable, and if you have dogs perfect place to have them, and they are so welcomed.

Modern, spacious and clean with excellent firm bed and well-appointed kitchenette. Shower pressure wasn’t great, but okay nonetheless. Pet-friendly too. Would definitely stay again.

4. Ellerslie Palms Motel 3* – Pet Friendly Motels Auckland

Located only a 20-minute drive from Auckland city centre, the December 2016 fully refurbished Ellerslie Palms offers apartments with free WiFi and kitchen facilities, including a BBQ area.

The property is 5-minutes from North and Southern Motorway on and off ramps.

Ellerslie Palms Motel Auckland is a 10-minute drive from Mt Smart Stadium and only 8-minutes from Alexandra Park & ASB Showgrounds.

This laid-back motel in a residential area is 2 km from both Waiatarua Reserve and Mount Wellington. Panmure train station is 1 km away.

The casual, simply furnished rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and kitchenettes, plus sitting areas. Upgraded rooms add separate living rooms and full kitchens.

Parking is complimentary. Other amenities include laundry and BBQ facilities.

Friendly welcome at the reception. Clean, tidy & modern rooms. Good kitchen facilities. No stove but okay with it has it had a microwave.

Perfect location, short walk to shops and station.

Nice comfortable beds.
Shower bit dated but bathroom spotless, fresh towels,linen and toiletries each day,  excellent maid service, rooms smelt lovely and fresh after they had been.

Tea and coffee facilities at small kitchen area,biscuits and tea refilled each day.

Small bar and place to eat by reception.
In fact everything you need while travelling,with helpful friendly staff.

5. Braemar On Parliament St 4* – Pet Friendly Accommodation Auckland

Located in Auckland, near Auckland Art Gallery, Aotea Centre and SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre, Braemar On Parliament St features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a shared lounge and a garden.

The bed and breakfast offers a continental or buffet breakfast.

A 12-minute walk from Britomart train station, this down-to-earth B&B in the central business district is a km from Sky Tower’s panoramic views, and 2 km from Queens Wharf ferry terminals.

The 5 quaint rooms with antiques offer free Wi-Fi and shared or private bathrooms. A sole suite has a separate living area.

Homemade breakfast is served in a rustic dining room. Other amenities include a lounge, a living room and a guest computer.

The communal lounge is perfect for complimentary afternoon wine or beer and chats with the owners or other guests and to cuddle their dog Tina. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful hosts gave us lots of recommendations for tourist spots for some excellent times.

Highly recommend for couples or singles wanting a relaxed friendly break in Auckland, within reasonable walking distance to a range of shops and restaurants and attractions.

Our room was so comfortable, it was great to have parking, our dog was welcomed with open arms and walked by John. The breakfast was beyond expectations, and leaf tea in china cups just topped this meal.

John gave us great advice when heading out for an evening meal, helped us with every question we had, and even had an answer for questions we hadn’t yet thought of. Being able to just sit and relax in a choice of rooms was what we required on this trip to Auckland. We will return.

Dog friendly. Yes, that’s right. Dog friendly and in the CBD. And an exquisitely restored period property. If you want 5 Star soul-less could-be-anywhere accommodation, don’t waste John’s time on the phone.

If you want quality, class, excellent service and a friend for life then book and stay. You really won’t be disappointed.

No annoying buzzing fridges in the rooms, comfortable rooms, comfortable breakfast and lounge areas, quiet, peaceful and clean!
