The cleanliness for a place which is dog friendly was remarkable. The dogs had a fantastic time and could walk on the golf course before 9am.
Clean fresh & welcoming, great check in, very friendly & helpful. Dog friendly, fantastic.
The room was terrific, very roomy with a lovely balcony. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. It was very good being able to have my dog in my room. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay if you have a pet.
Everything is good here. Good price good location good environment. Many areas for walking your dog. Place is clean bed is comfortable! Perfect!
It was great to be able to travel with our puppy and be able to stay in a decent hotel that was clean and in a central location to all the facilities we needed.
The Family studio served the needs of two adults and two teens plus a dog. It was perfect to be able to walk out onto the back garden to walk the dog.
The property has two levels, and some of the rooms have small balconies. There is plenty of free car parking at the property. The rooms are clean and spacious with very comfortable beds and bedding. A small kitchenette is reasonably well equipped and there is a small bar fridge & dishwasher.
The bathroom has a washer & dryer and it is fairly spacious too.
Pets are allowed to stay at the hotel and we have occasionally experienced dogs barking inside rooms while it appeared that their owners were away.

I have a dog. He wasn’t with me but during my stay I found out that there is the availability to have a dog friendly room. Very impressed with this forward thinking attitude by Mercure Hotels. The room was very comfortable, a bit old world but still nice. Beautiful internal courtyard.
This is our third stay at the Mercure Canberra and were not disappointed. We travel with 2 dogs and checked into our favourite room. The front of house staff were amazing as usual.
The bar and restaurant staff were fantastic as well. It is a refreshing change to be welcomed so warmly when travelling with 2 dogs. We had dinner in the hotel which was high quality as usual.
We stayed at the Mercure Canberra for 4 days with our dog! We were surprised to find the hotel is dog-friendly and we and the dog were made to feel very welcome. During our stay we saw other guests with dogs too.
Our room had it’s own little backyard where our little dog could stretch her legs and I would encourage the hotel to ask guests to pick up after their animals and have a way of disposing of the bags.
Altogether a very pleasant stay made so much better by having our little dog with us rather than in a kennel.
This is the go to pet friendly accommodation in Canberra for us. It’s an easy walk to shopping precincts and close to local interest locations.
Our dog has access to most parts of the venue and its own run area outside our room. Most importantly the reception staff are very welcoming and helpful from the initial booking to our check out.
I stayed 2 nights with my 2 small dogs. The room was immaculate and had a French door to a secure private garden. A dog bed was provided.
The king size bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed delicious room service meals. The hotel is close to the centre of Canberra and all the main tourist attractions. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I will enjoy a return visit in Spring.
