New hotel in a great location with excellent facilities. We stayed in 1 bedroom apartment which was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Friendly professional staff. Walking distance to town centre, eastern beach and pier. Close to restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. We had an amazing dinner at Eastern Spice Indian across the road – absolutely delicious.

This newly renovated accommodation met our expectations. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable and perfectly located – walking distance to the pier/beach and shopping centre.

It is very well located and walking distance to nearly all that Geelong has to offer.

Restaurants surround the Hotel with an Indian restaurant across the road and a pub and bottle shop just nearby. The waterfront is a short walk down hill from this hotel.

The front reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is a moderate size and comfortably furnished, if not a little sparsely. I did appreciate the integrated USB chargers in the power points.

Our room had a nice view towards the centre of Geelong and if you looked to the side You could see glimpses of Port Phillip Bay. The bed was very comfortable, quite notably so. The Bathroom was a very good size and pleasantly designed.

The TV fixed to the wall had access to cable Channels. Parking is available free of charge in the evening around the hotel. I recommend this hotel to others.

2. Little River Bed and Breakfast 3* – Pet Friendly Accommodation Geelong

You will find a shared kitchen at the property. There is a restaurant next door if you feel like dining out.

3. Freshwater Creek Cottages & Farm Stay 3* – Dog Friendly Accommodation Geelong

Freshwater Creek Cottages & Farm Stay offers a sauna, hot tub, free bicycle hire and a children’s playground, a 15-minute drive from Torquay beaches.

Guests can play a game of tennis or mini-golf and enjoy cycling and hiking in the surrounding areas. On a sunny day you can prepare a lovely meal using the barbecue facilities provided. There is also animal feeding daily.

The property is a 15-minute drive from Torquay Golf Club and a 32-minute drive from Avalon Airport Australia. It is a 40-minute drive from Queenscliff.

Stay warm in front of the open wood fireplace or watch a show on the flat-screen TV in your private cottage. All accommodation offers a kitchen or a kitchenette, a private bathroom, air-conditioning and a DVD player.

We couldn’t have picked a better farm stay. So many happy, healthy animals on the farm and the whole family loved feeding them. The playground and ride on toys were a bonus, and great that would could take our dog.

We loved strolling around the grounds, feeding animals, collecting eggs and my son was thrilled with an impromptu tractor ride he got. Definitely not just for kids, the whole family can’t wait to return.

There’s even a small orchard to check out. Their farm dogs, Millie & Charlotte were so friendly and kept visiting us at our cottage porch. Would highly recommend this place for a quiet retreat.

I stayed in a cottage, was there with my dog – I wanted somewhere quiet, where I was left alone to rest and relax and that was exactly what I got. The facilities were great, the cottage size very generous, secluded and mostly private.

My husband, 5 year old son and 2 dogs spent 2 nights at this fabulous farm-stay. We stayed at The Lodge, which is the original farm house on the property. It is not on their website but well worth investigating.

It is fabulous! It has a wonderful country feel. It’s extremely clean and well equipped with all you may need including a full kitchen, TV, washing machine and 3 bedrooms sleeping 8. It is situated slightly away from the other cottages but within a short walk to all the action.

This place is a dream. In the morning the kids help the farmer sort through food for the animals.

All very friendly and you can enter the enclosures and paddocks and get close to the animals. The people that run the property are so engaging with the kids and make them feel like they are real “farm hands”!

There is also a playground, volleyball court, tennis court and spa. The best thing though is that there are bikes there for all the family to use.
