The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure – two things I find important 🙂 All round excellent value for money. To add to the great experience our dogs could stay in the room with.

The staff is very friendly. Pet-friendly places are hard to find and this place was the perfect place for us to take our dog with us.

One of the few pet friendly motels around. Very comfortable unit containing everything you need for an overnight or longer stay. Electric blankets, when we arrive in the evening just as the outside temperatures were dropping as they do in the mountains, the heaters had been turned on preparing the unit for us. The lady running the motel was most helpful and friendly.

Would recommend this motel to all. Not an upmarket motel but very homely and suitable for couples and families. Very handy to town centre and walking area.

The location couldn’t be better. It is right next to the main street and the pools as well as down the street from Dog Stream track. So handy to everything. The kitchen is well equipped and the check-in process was seamless. It was clean and worked well for our group. (1 adult and 5 kids – ages 10-13).

Also, sheets and bath towels are provided, which is something that doesn’t happen in most holiday homes in Hanmer. This means less to pack and less laundry when you return from your trip!

Quiet place had everything I needed Lenny my dog enjoined exploring outside except when it snowed The snow was a surprise and highlight The motel owners went the extra mile to do that!!! Very reasonable rates and dog friendly How could it get better The motel is due for renovations so hope it doesn’t lose its character!!!

Had a nice stay for the night, only a minutes walk to town, and they allowed our little Miniature Schnauzer to stay with us. If you are traveling with pets you would need to ring and confirm before making a booking.

Amokura the owner was wonderful from the time we contacted her to book. We had a 2 bedroom unit with a fenced courtyard. The unit was clean and suited us.

Yes its shabby and retro but we were made to feel welcome and not worried about our dogs. We will definitely go back. We cleaned up after ourselves having 2 big dogs, aired the unit out, stripped the bed and made sure we picked up any dog fur.

Loved it, would love to own!!! Highly recommend if you have a dog, want out the door straight to hot pool or eateries.
