Scenic Hotel Te Pania is located in Napier, directly opposite the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre. The town’s famous Art Deco-style main street is just 2 minutes’ walk away.

All air-conditioned rooms include flat-screen satellite TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. The en suite bathrooms are equipped with guest toiletries, a hairdryer and fluffy towels. Pacific View rooms have mini-bars and bathrobes.

Across the street from the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre, this modern, glass-fronted hotel has views over Hawke’s Bay. It’s a 3-minute walk from tours at the Art Deco Trust and 2 km from the National Aquarium of New Zealand.

With floor-to-ceiling windows and bay views, the airy rooms feature free Wi-Fi, plus flat-screens, minibars, and tea and coffeemaking equipment. The 1- and 2-bedroom suites add living rooms and kitchenettes. Room service is available 24/7.

Parking is complimentary. Breakfast (fee) is served in a contemporary restaurant that has a seasonal terrace, and there’s also a sleek bar. Guest laundry facilities are offered.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Scenic Hotel Napier we love how close it is to the city centre shops and a large number of cafes easy walk.

Parking is at rear of building.They also have one dog friendly room on the ground floor but you need to book early for this room.

Good location overlooking the foreshore. All rooms have views. Staff moved us to higher level on the second night as rooms came available which was a nice touch.Very handy location to Napier town, shops and restaurants.

Noted they allow dogs to stay as an option.

We wanted a place we could stay with our dog and there weren’t many options. Te Pania stood out because not only did it welcome dogs but also because it’s in a great location right on the waterfront. When we arrived we were greeted warmly, especially our dog, staff came out from behind the counter to pat him and give him a treat. The room was perfect, tucked away in the corner on the ground floor with doors directly accessing a flat lawn and the waterfront right across the road. They provided the dog with his own comfy bed and bowls and a treat was waiting for him. Staff were helpful and considerate during our stay and we will definitely stay here again next time we are in Napier.

Just stayed the one night during Easter. We have a Chevy Van and were given an unpowered site overlooking the ocean. Was absolutely beautiful.

We loved that could take our two small dogs with us as long they were on leads.

Lovely clean campground. We will absolutely be back.

This place is a great little gem on the outskirts of Napier. We stayed 3 nights over Easter with perfect weather. We had a beach front caravan site with outstanding views of the sea and Port. Sunrise was stunning as was the rising of the moon.

The beachfront site are up a hill and are very small so if you have a van with an awning, when you book ask if your caravan and awning will fit. Showers were great, good pressure and 5mins for $1.00.

Very dog friendly which was fantastic as so many places aren’t. It was a real bonus to be able to take our dog with us.

What a great little place to stay, we got upgraded to ocean view beach front for free, and we were even allowed to bring our dog – Rottweiler. Along with us 🙂 would stay again! Clean landscape and surroundings. Would recommend.

This time we have superb, grassy, sheltered site, large enough for us and our towing vehicle. Trees for shade in the delicious warm sunshine. Dog is welcome so long as she is on her lead. No problem. Facilities are spotless and adequate although there is no real stove and oven for cooking for larger groups.

Muffins and coffee at the camp cafe are just as enticing and delicious as we remember them. It is quite a long walk for the daily paper however! Walking the stony beach is a challenge but the scenery is spectacular across the rolling waves.

This casual, redbrick motor inn off Napier Hastings Expressway lies within 5 km from the National Aquarium of New Zealand and the MTG Hawke’s Bay museum, theatre and gallery.

Down-to-earth studios have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and whirlpool baths. All also offer kitchenettes with microwaves, and tea and coffeemaking equipment. Suites add lounges, while the 1- and 2-bedroom apartments (sleeping up to 6 people) come with full kitchens. Cribs and highchairs can be provided.

The motor inn serves both cooked and continental breakfast. Additional amenities include a spa room, an outdoor pool and a playground. There’s free parking.

Dog friendly, perfect for us and our 2 little dogs:) Convenient, clean and comfortable.

Awesome to find somewhere that accepted the dog. In walking distance to take out and shops and in delivery area for a few places too.

Great stay and pet friendly – we  stayed for our New Year trip to Napier with multiple families. The rooms aren’t modern but clean, and I can see the owner do make sure the place is great. The motel is close to the motorway but surprisingly I cannot hear the traffic. Possibly the best wifi I ever experienced in any motel. The owner and staff are very friendly, do go and ask for advice, as they know Napier and Hastings really well.
